Exterior Exterior is a defenite improvement from Old Alto. Front view looks like a sedan. Rear view resembles Old Zen.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is an area where Alto K10 lags badly. The driver seat is cramped. If the height of the driver is more than 5.5 feet, he/she will brush the steering while entering and coming out. The plastics are cheap and the dashboard is the same of Alto. Features like power windows,Digital tachomenter, fuel indicator are very good for this price range. Space and comfort is similar to old Alto. No complaints.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is where K10 scores heavily. K Series engine in Alto is a technical marvel. The car reaches 120 effortless. I can easily say this car can beat Swift in terms of speed. The power to weight ratio is very high. The car weighs just 765 kg. K10 gives 17 kmpl mileage with 50% A.C now. The mileage will increase for sure. This mileage is the best in segment. Gear shift needs a defenite improvement.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is very good since the car comes with power steering. It is very useful in city driving. For 3.65 Onroad - K10 offers superb engine, power steering, power windows and fantastic mileage.
Though there are some minor drawbacks, this car is a worthy buy.
Final Words Go for it.

I purchased this car about 3 months ago & done nearly 2500 km. Got good milage of 20kmpl on highway. also good power for this segment. Only problem is having some vibration on ideling some time. Engine is good responsive & pick up is also good. Newly designed gearbox is also smooth.
Altogether a decent car for an unbelievable price with good comfort. The Most recommended car for small families and city ride, especially when it comes to everyday rides like office going.
Gear Shift needs to be more smoother and the care would be really great with a remote boot opener, Can never ask anything more for improvement like Parcel Tray, Power Windows and Fog Lamps for 3Lac, which would be too much of asking as any consumer
Performance is very very good to highway as well as in city because its compact so we can take anywhere without any hesitation, gear box is also good and smooth, fuel economy is good.

Exterior Good enough as per its cost.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good looking specially metre, spacious but dashbord is old fashioned, the space on left hand side to keep something looks very odd. comfortvise its good for long drive. aircondioning and blower system is also good in the vehicle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Knocking sound of engine when vehicle is climbing up.pickup is good enough but once motion is broken you have to shift the gear from forth to 2nd its not possible to regain from 3rd gear. mileage is low after service its asurprising thing to note when mileage reach from 20 to 15 is it the problem of engineoil used for service. gear shifting is quit well.
Ride Quality & Handling is good enough its comfortable to go longdrive and easy to control and drive.
Final Words Overall alto k10 is fair vehicle but engine performance is poor as compared to hyundai vehicle because when you drive even zen the engine sound is good enough to hear it never seems your vehicle is in trouble as in alto k10 because knocking sound of engine is very iritating.
Areas of improvement Engine sound should be like zen. there must not be vibration on light accelerater.

I bought a new Suzuki Alto K10 Auto Gear Shift vehicle from Trichy ABT MARUTI. On the same day afterr delivery when we travel from the dealer's office to my home I noticed a sound from engine during decelaration. Immediately I reported to the executive for which i got the reply as this is normal case with this auto gear shift vehicles. But next day I handed over the car to their workshop and during the test drive the mechanic accepted that their is a sound from the engine.
4 days now till now i did not get the proper reply from the dealer what is the problem and when i'll get the car back despite my several visits and phone calls.
They say the sound is from brake first then the sound is from drive shaft and then the sound is from gear box. they said theyy informed to maruti and waiting for them to check.
But never they say what is their action plan and when the vehicle will get repaired. I am fed up with their poor response and lethargic working style.
really i'm disappointed after paying overr 5 lakhs and i regret for purchasing the car.

Exterior The material used for the body is inferior quality. I agree with the company's thinking "itne paise me itna hi milega". But a bit thicker metal sheet would have saved many small dents on my car. The bumper comes with average quality plastic by default. Only right mirror is provided which wont be of help in heavy traffic highways, especially for harline overtakes.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The dashboard is Ok. There is no rpm meter which would have been a stylish factor. Lighting of the dashboard control is good. This car is made for small families (2 adults and 2 kids) and some people expect 5 elephants to travel in this. But I found this car can easily pull 5 adults and reach 100km speed on highways. I have got extra fittings like car audio, tinted glasses, matching seat covers, steering cover, dual horns, power-windows for front windows and fog lamps. This makes my car look very nice.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear shift comes with some kind of locking. So if you are in 2nd gear, you cannot shift to reverse easily. Thats good as well as bad at times. Gears arent smooth to change. Needs some effort at times. Engine performance is good so far, and it pushed me till 125 kmph with 3 adult and 1 kid inside. I understand that speed is less of car, but more of drivers confidence, and I wouldnt have crossed more speed in a better car. so I am Ok again. Fuel economy is good. I have travelled in plains and hilly areas, and average so far is 18+.
Ride Quality & Handling I cannot expect the riding comforts of a Ferrari in this car. Suspension is good so far. Handling wise, power steering and power breaks are very good. It has helped me save few minor accidents so far. This car is far better then M800 in all ways so far.
Final Words A very nice small-family car. I hardly use car daily (due to traffic and to conserve fuel) as I travel alone. When I go with my family (in different terrains so far), this car is reliable. I can trust it in future too. Majority of my travel is on highways so far, and many City's and Ikon's were behind me sometimes. If you are fuel-conservative like me, buy this car than swift (thanks to my wife who stopped me buying swift). Its un-necessary to invest in a depreciating asset like car.
Areas of improvement Considering the rising raw material cost, and customizations this car allows, I dont see any improvements. Spend some few thousands to get all you want. I spent some 40k to add many accessories, and it makes car look nice.

Exterior The exteriors are overall good but not stylish or smart looking. At least two rear view mirrors should have been provided in LXi models. The body is too light and even a little bump creates dent on the body, the paint quality is poor as at few places rust has appeared despite taking much care of the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors as far as the front seats are considered overall is good but the rear seats are really cramped.A/c is quite good but the pickup is quite low with a/c on.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As far as my experience goes it is raelly a trouble free ,low mainteanance , cost effective vehicle. The fuel economy is very good but the gear shift is not very smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling In the city ,ride quality is quite comfortable and handing/manouverability in congested and narrow lanes is very good with power steering. But with A/c on the pickup is very very low when you are in a broad trafic free road.It is shaky after you cross a speed of 90 kmph.
Final Words A nice car for the first time buyer and middle class family. Perhaps the most economic car in India after maruti 800.If you have a budget of only Rs 3 lac only, you should go for it.
Areas of improvement Overall in this budget it is a very good product of Maruti with very very affordable spares and wide service network. The improvement could be done by providing a remote boot opener and both side rear view mirror. Little improvement could be done for pickup with a/c on also.
Good manouvarability in conjested roads with lot of slow trafficThe interiors are not attractive but better than 800. Less spacious rear seats. No remote boot opener

Exterior Front Fog Lamps add beauty to the car, Beige color is the best according to me, body coloured side view mirror is missing.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The leg room is extended by 50mm for the rear passenger, tachometer, Immobiliser and key off reminder are good extentions by maruti. Head rest is attached in the front seats same as i10 and the seats are comfortable for 4 adults, very good boot space in small car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine is smooth and when i started it gives a feel of minature v8 engine sound, Fuel economy is just great the gear box is very much improved as compared to old Alto 800 i think that is because of the Cable shift type Gear box.
Ride Quality & Handling Car picks up in no time from 0 - 100, no vibrations at all the engine is smooth even with the AC is on there is no lagging in power, with Power steering the handling is nice and while driving u will feel there is some power in the Hood (68 PS Power 1000 CC engine).
Final Words Very good Hatch in the segment a real Value For Money.
Areas of improvement Rear Power Windows, Plastic materials to be upgraded, A little more space in width.

Exterior The Alto LXI has very simple and plain looks on the outside. Not too flashy and at the same time not too boring as too keep the fresh feel away from it. The headlamps neatly fit in with the looks of the car and with the chrom Maruti suzuki logo adding to the aura. The rear ofcourse is plain but at the same time goodlooking. The taillamp cluster is clear and bright. The exterior look of the car is even more enhanced with the addition of wheel hub covers. Overall, not too flashy and at the same time not too boring. Excellent.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior plastic quality is not too excellent. Also, one cannot expect more at the price at which the Alto is offered. The controls are basic and easily reachable. The car is provided with arm rests on the doors, cup holders, a roomy glove box and many cubby holes. Bad is the lack of grip in the door lock knob on the inside. It just looks like a stub.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is amazing with the AC off. Ofcorse one can feel the drag in the engine when the AC is switched on. This makes overtaking and climbing slopes with AC on difficult. But one cannot expect more from a 3 pot 800 CC engine. One should remember that we are talking about an 800CC engine and not a V6. In the highway the one never feels the lack of power even with the AC on. It can easily do 120+ Kmph on the highway.
Fuel economy is excellent. Gives 22-23 Kmpl on the highway. Do not know about city driving conditions since I dont drive much in the city and haven't really checked it.
The gearbox is excellent. There is no glitch in the transmission and the stick easily slides into the slots and each time perfectly.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride comfort for the driver is much better than the passengers since, there is not enough leg room for the passengers at the rear. But the car doesn't appear to be too cramped. The noise level inside the cabin is not anything to complain about. The car has good grip, good braking characheristics and with a turning radius of 4.5m, it is a car one can easily drive. The power steering just make turning into tight spots and heavy traffic a breeze. Hence it is best suitable for new drivers. Driving upto 100 Kmph is fine, the engine seems to be smooth and one can feel the confidence the car gives. But once you cross the 100 Kmph mark, there is vibration from the engine felt and the car doesn't seem to be planted to the road.
Final Words Excellent car, solidly built with a good brand name to back upon. The excellent after sales service, excellent staffs of the dealer and service station, the lower maintenance cost (Spares of Alto is much cheaper) all add to the value of the car. The car delivers what it was intended to delivery and it does it in a best manner.
Areas of improvement Nothing specific. The shortfalls of this car, that is less rear leg room space, underpowered engine and simple looks are taken care by the Alto K10. Hence no complaints since the car delivers what it was built for.

Exterior Looks good, first half of looks like a sedan and it looks much mature than the old alto with a bold grill and eagle eyed headlamps.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Carmped, make you feel like ur sitting in an old alto, there is slight difference in between old alto and k10 while for first time users they will be not much difference.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Noisy engine i had lot of problems with a brand new car,for the first service i drove the car for just about 300 kms and the day after first service they was a oil pach in my parking so took it to service station and they said the gearbox oil seal has not been assambled right and we to replace the oil seal and it will about 2hr to fix the problem.then i thought 2hr is not a problem and i said ok repalce it but, the problem was there was no stock and they need to call for maruti for this newsence it may take about 2days.
Ride Quality & Handling Can feel bodyroll, view is good gearing is smooth.
Final Words Better go fo old alto.
Areas of improvement Engine assembly unitt by maruti itself,i dont know weather the experience i had with my car was a manifacture defect or an assembly fault,i regret buyin the car.
Fuel economy is ok for a small carNoisy engin make me feel like i'm driving a diesel car, sluggish in 1st and 2nd gear while ac is onExterior/Styles

Hi,
Im Irvin from Goa. Im a 3rd year student of engineering and i got my alto K10 about a year ago. It comes in handy for the drive to college or roaming about in the city but gets cramped with amy more than 4 people. We seldom use it for family trips but its a blessing for going for short trips in the city. On the whole a pretty good car but not a class leader. Those who are looking for an efficient budget family car will be dissapointed, better go in for a figo or a spark..almost at the same price range. Those looking for a peppy, fun to drive car however will be pleased, if interior quality isnt a burden
Exterior The exterior of the Alto K10 is its strongest point. The front looks agressive unlike its predecessoe and has nice looking eagle eyed headlamps. Plus you also get Fog lamps on the top end version. The rear looks pretty much like the old alto except for the rear tail lights which have got a bit of change in shape but nothing exciting. Look at it from the side and it looks longer. Thats because of the increase in the front end of the car to accomodate the k10 engine and sadly doesnt add to the legroom of the car. Still in the exteriors, the car gets an 8 on 10.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior of the car shows little change and is a bit dissapointing on the whole. The plastic quality has been kept the same in a bid to cut costs but i feel this will cost maruti dearly as many buyers will opt for the Figo or the Spark which are much more roomier and at almost the same price. However you now get fabric inserts on the doors in the top end Vxi model. You also get front power windows that feel flimsy to operate and internally adjustable ORVM's. However the central console remains the same as the older alto. Minus marks again. But what freshens things up is the new dial gauges behind the steering wheel with a tachometer and digital fuel indicator. The dial gauges look cool at night and perform well. The fuel gauge though, isnt that accurate.
Moving on to the space, its terrible. Its a squeeze for any more than 4 people in the car and the boot isnt big either. Its far better for singles than for families. I feel that maruti should have increased the interior legroom by just a bit and that would have tremendously increased its value.
Il give the car 5 on 10 here.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent engine. The K10 engine is perky and is a huge improvement over the previous 800cc version. 0-100 comes up in just under 15 seconds. The car feels fun to drive with the new engine.
Fuel economy is good for this car but not as much as maruti claims. I get an average of 16-17 overall, far from the claimed figure of 21 by the company. This too with 50% use of the AC.
The gearbox is also a huge plus. The throws are effortless and light and pretty short.
9 on 10 in this department.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good for this segment. The car stays rooted to the road and doesnt lack confidence at high speeds. However once you get above 120, the car starts to shudder and gives you a number of signs to slow down. Its a bit unsettling over portholes and the suspension frankly isnt great. But its better than many other cars in this segment. The light steering and great manouverability make it a fun car to drive.
It gets a 7 on 10 here.
Final Words My Alto K10 came to 4.10 Lakhs on-road(with leather seats and a sony sound system with 4 speakers). It comes with body coloured bumpers, front power windows and internally adjustable ORVM's. It also has a cool dial gauge with a tachometer and a digital fuel indicator. Its a great car for singles, students, or a second car usefull for city driving and easy to park.
On the downside, the car has less space for families, your better off buying the Figo(4 lakhs on-road for about the same specs.),the i10(4.2 lakhs on-road for the 'era' version, with similar features as the K10), or the spark(3.8-4 lakhs for the same specs as the alto). but with more space.
Areas of improvement Space, Could have put in a better interior(beige would have looked great).
