its a car to be driven by a enthusiast. great pickup , small footprint and great top speed. no other martui suzuki has the driving characters of this car . the styling is the best part of this car. tis quite futuristic but at the same time there is some kind of a cuteness to this. its great car to enjoy driving. the interiors are good but the plastic quality seems to be not so good. i think it is one of the best small cars avialable in the market. the top end version has all the safety features like air bags and abs. i noticed that it is not having the alloy wheels.  in terms of millage i understand this is one of the fuel efficient cars.

i test drove this car twice and i find this car will soon be a market leader in the segment. the only deterent is that it has less luggage space. the car i test drove is top end variant and it has all the bells and whistles like the remote key , abs and power windows and a nice integrated sterio. i specially like the seats and the integrated head restrains. the gear shift is fine and the stearing is quite precise. i test drove may small cars and this is my final choice. i will definetly prefer this car to other cars in the class. one for its looks and two for its economy and style. being a maruti its easy to service and maintain across the country

gook lokks and great pick upless boot space

Maruti A-Star zxi wi the third car in my family after Swift VDI and Wagon R as well. I have no doubt saying that looking to the power this car offers and other features this is the best car we have till now. Because of low CG, you can feel the driving difference between Wagon R and A-Star while ABS and AIR Bags, gives me more secure feeling while driving on highways. The added advantage is the milage which I got on highways is around 21 KMPL and in the city it was around 17-18 which is best  in its segment.

And the last bu the not the least thing is it's style and looks which I liked the most. For me, if you compare other cars on the ground of Safty, facility, milage, looks, style, comfort and cost, this is the best which I can have in this segment.

      Thanks: SB

A Star is a really nice car and if I talk about Maruti's innovation, it stands somewhere near the Swift because it banks upon it's own style and Maruti has not played safe while designing and launching A star in Indian Market.

It has got unconventional looks, unconventional cabin structure, a new superb KB series engine and great interiors.

Its a super performer in every aspect except one that is it's price.

It would have been an instant hit, has it been priced 20 K less.

Comfort and Fuel EconomyA bit overpriced, back is slightly high, less boot space.

very economic & easy drive. We can believe this car if you go long trip. very soundless. no jerk.parts are not very costly . We get Maruthi workshops in most of the towns & villages while we are in in long tour. In never gets boiled like other cars. You need not even check the water in the radiator upto 1000 Kilometers. Coolend up to 5000 kilometers.  If replace oil every 5000 km & air filter & oil filter every three months and wheel air checking every two days and speed not more than 70 km/hr., I am sure you will get 20km/liter.

      good fuel economy

When I first saw the pics of A-STAR (Concept car version), I was impressed. Though the present A-Star is drastically changed from the concept version it still looks very cool. I like its bold front view with high head lamps and indicators mounted upon them, it gives a very refresing look. I'm very dissapointed with the side look though, it looks ugly. The rear is pretty good and the rear head lights are similar to ALTO. The interiors the pretty good nothing noteworthy though. The back seats are slightly cramped and i'm very dissappointed with the book space, it cant hold more than 2 bags i guess.

Coming to the performance. I didn't drive it long, just took a test drive and i'm impressed. For a small car, A-Star is very zippy and is always ready to go. Slight push of the accelerator and the response from the car is awesome. I did push it high speeds and response s good and pickup is good for a small car. I didn't get a chance to test the mailage but heard it give around 20 with air con on, if it is true then A-Star will be the next big car among the small cars.

Well I like this car a lot though it has some negatives. I'm impressed with the amount of feature you get for that price. For 4 Lakhs you get almost all the features you can imagine in a small car including ABS, Air bags(passenger+Driver), traction control etc. I give a five star for its value for money and also a five star overall for this cute A-Star.

Its Style, Fuel Economy, Safety(ABS & Air Bags), Value for moneyCramped rare seats, Low Boot Space.

A Star is a outcome of dedicated efforts of Maruti Suzuki and its long term and deep understanding of indian buyer. MUL saw success in India because of low fuel consumption of Maruti 800, without much compromising on performance , understanding changing needs of buyer and upcoming new middle class buyer of cars in early eighties and won over Ambassador ( HML ) and Padmini ( Fiat ). It seems with launch of A Star History will repeat itself again. MUL shall shine more with new shining car -- A STAR.

I purchased A-Star VXI few days back only and i feel it's very good in class. When we are going to purchase any car, 1st we to have decide the purpose of it and required features/facilities whether it's hatchback/sedan and our budget. Then Brand Value, feedback of other genuine users, Service, Re-sale value. If you see when Swift has come everybody said it's going to flop but now you see 8 out of 10 cars on road are SWIFT. So have a car of your choice. All the best. Reg. Shankar

I bought this car A STAR VXI  one month back. It gives me good mileage, comfort, easiness in driving.  It is an ideal vehicle for middle class families.  EPS, integrated audio system, power windows on all 4 doors, remote fuel lid opener, boot opener, effective A/C  ample power, contemporary style and FE makes this vehicle ideal.
very good fuel economy and stylish lookboot space a little cramped

I bought a my car in the month of March 2010 since then at every service I have complained about mileage problem but each time I was been said the engine need to get tune an which  happens only after 3-4th service or about 5000-6000KM, However now it’s more than 16 months and about 25000 KM running yet I just get 12-13 KMPL  at highway ( 450-460 KM in 35 Liters).

I did lodge  complain to Maruti Suzuki in September 2010 and in return the local Dealer / Service Station Chaugule Industries Ltd arranged a fuel consumption meter and proved me that my car give 20-22 KMPL, Although which never happen in practical (700-750 KM in 35 Liters) and to get such mileage I was ask to drive my car in 5th gear at the speed of 30 KMPH which as a result the entire car interior use to sound as good as a rattle.

Recently I drive Premier Padmini an I noticed that A-Stars clutch is equally same hard and mileage little higher by 3-4 KMPL. I earlier have used Fiat Siena and Palio 1.2 L for about 4-5 years and I use to get mileage about 10-12 so I planned to buy Maruti Suzuki A-Star the most economic and fuel efficient but it was just my thinking and not practical.

Looks Interior & Exterior, smooth rideBad mileage and too hard clutch

Exterior It looks awesome from out..i love this car's look more than any other car.i have even added projector lamps and HID to the car which is making it look better then any other hatch back.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is even beautifull from inside..just add a wooden touch interiors from any car shop and it will look like a luxury sedan.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine cant be defined in words. Its extra-ordinary. The way it runs. No other 1000 cc engine can beat this one..and fuel economy is 18-19. Ffrom beginning.

Ride Quality & Handling Awesome handling, best for cornering.

Final Words I have loved this car more than any othr car.i have tried beat, alto k-10, i-10. but all failed to impress me, better then any other car in this class, a perfect hatch back youth car. If you are aged between 18-28, you dont need anythng more thn dis beauty.

Areas of improvement Just the boot should be made a lit bigger..but then seats r foldable so not an issue.
