Its almost a year that I've been driving my Bright red A-star( Automatic). It has a very good looking exterior and delightful interior. Overall I feel very good about the car. The air conditioning and stereo and all are very attractive.
The only problem I've experienced was that one day, my fuel level indicator was on its last point and once it started blinking, looked for the nearest petrol pump and it was not more than 15km when it stopped on the road. Then had to get petrol cans and fill manually.
I guess, either the problem is with the indication or the reserve.
Otherwise, its the best drive you can get !!!

I purchased AStar AT in Bangalore 3 months back and have driven around 3000 KM so far within city. The pick up and ride quality is very good, engine is very smooth and turning radius in the cramped roads here is excellent. This comes loaded with ABS, MP3 player, power windows and a flashy front panel. The negatives are - rear leg space and trunk space. But if the front seat occupants are not very tall, space in the rear is not too bad. I am disappointed with the mileage so far though. It is giving only around 9.5 - 10 Km/l in normal driving conditions. Nowhere near the certified 17Km/l ARAI. Does anyone else have similar data with Automatic version? With a sub 1000cc engine I was expecting a very decent mileage of around 12-13 at least with automatic. I am hoping that with additional driving and servicing this increases slowly.

I got to know about this car from the very beginning when i first saw it at the Delhi Expo.. Then i decided to have a test drive of the car as i was almost certain to buy the car aftr looking at its eye catching style.. you wont beleive this.. i had a wonderful experience...
It has fantastic interiors... a very luxurious car, a wonderful music system.. It is quite spacious too.. easily 5-6 persons can be accomodated.. It has a very good braking system. This i say because i have tried out Maruti Estilo too... i was not comfortable with it.. Coming to mileage... i think it is even better than Alto.. more than 20kms/ltr... Another good feature about the car is its tubeless tyres... so no tension for punctures.... It has lovely pick up with 1000cc (998cc to be exact) and a power of 6200rpm...
So all those people out there looking to buy a new car... i wanna tell you one thing... just experience A-Star if you wanna have a smooth and luxurious drive and that too with style... It is really a STAR...

A perfect blend of sytle and performance, this car not only promises but also yields an exceptional fuel economy. Space may be a constraint for them who love to sit on the rear seats with a chauffer driving the car. For self drivers, bachelors and young couples, this car is just a bliss. I have had a personal experience of a 15+ km of fuel effeciency as compared to my existing zen which was giving just around 10. Other wonders are turning radius, powerful AC, gear shifting, etc. My highest speed on the car was 140km and I could not even feel it.
Bachelors, and young couple, dont even think twice before making a buy if you're planning for this car.

I am not an expert. driving my old Maruti 800 and now turning to be owner of a star Lxi. being a bank employee and senior manager at the age of 32, i feel that maruti 800 does not suit to mey status. i heard about the a star, read most of the reviews but till date could not decide. I have small family, wife & two small kid.
my monthly usage would be 500-600 kms, biased or rather say inclination towards maruti product. can any one suggest me the best option with in a range of 3-4 lacs.

I bought this new baby by giving back my 18 months old Zen Estilo which i loved. But since the time i have bought this i am in Love with it. It is so comfortable and easy to drive. It makes me feel Young.
I have my 5 friends and we never felt that its a small car. Yes the Boot is small but then i dont need, if things are aranged properly then we have enopugh place.
I have bought the Vxi which has everything what is need for short or long or leasure drive.
I love this Car. :-)
