I have purchased A-star Zxi on 20/3/2009 at Competent Auto Mandi H.P. at price 4,12000/-
On the first day I get its tank full.
I travel on hills up to Kothi, Solang nallha near Rohtang top at Manali. and some other hilli track. I and my wife (newley learned driving) almost 50:50 distance. We travel total 545 km. and again top up its fuel tank by 30.85 ltr. and got 17.6 km per ltr. while my old 800 was giving milage of 12-13 on same tracks.
Pick up is very good, it is smooth on rough roads.
The only problem i faced is right side view while taking right side turn on single lane hilly track.
Except boot space its is a supereb car in this price tag.
Before buying it I search that There is no other car @412000/- which provide you:- ABS+Duel Airbags+CD (Integrated 4 speakers)+Central locking+Power windows+Power steering+Fuel efficency etc.
Good fuel economy, good styleRight side view on single lane hill tracks while negotiating right side turn.Exterior/Styles

I have read lot of reviews in this section about AStar and lot of people seems to be dissatisfied with the space in this car. I agree with them that Yes luggage space is a problem in this car for a big family. I bought ZXi of AStar nealy 5 months back and I proudly feel good about my decision to buy this car. For me safety was main concern for me and my family when we are on the road and this car fulfills my this requirement very well. With ABS and Airbags in place I cannot ask for something more in small car.
With family of 3 I never had space issue with this car and it can fit luggage for we 3 eaisly. I have drove my car for nearly 2000km and it run very smoothly when ever I drove it. I have even drove it @140kmph speed and never felt that we are driving in such a high speed. ABS works well in such conditions also.
Milage is biggest plus point of this car. Upto now in city conditoins it gave me milage of 17.5 with AC on all the time.
I just want to say that if you are looking for family car then go for something else BUT if you are looking for a high speed in controlled car then this is best option for you in small segment. This definitely is a nice package car with ABS, Airbags, Stereo player with 4 speakers, Power Window, Power Stearing.

After my 1 week waiting and I have got my A-Star. I had lots of confusion when I planned to purchase a new car. I did test drive on somany cars and my mind got stucked in below three.
1. Maruthi- WagonR -- Rejected due to less power with AC and 3 months wating period.
2. Chevrolet Beat -- I liked the look and power. Rejected due to Milege. I drive 70kms per day to office from my home
3. Maruthi Alto -- Very less power and bad interiors (Fact is what you get for 3 lacks)
4. Swift -- Good car, good space. Rejected due to milege, waiting period and less ground clearence.
You will be so curious how I reached in A-Star.Here you go.
Good pickup, Good milege, Great look (Not the rear end- Maruthi has to do some thing for that), Great controll in 140km/hour, reasonable price and more over great interiors.
It costed me around 402000 in trivandrum, its onroad price.
I have chosen A-star VXi and it came with all the features except ABS and Airbag. I bought only 2 JBL speakers extra which costed amount 2400. Rest of the accessories I have got it free from the dealer.
So let me come to the driving experience.
We are 5 member family and all are adults having 5.5" hight and above 60km weight. We five can sit comfortably with out any issue. The seat in backside is in platform, it doesnt provide any vibration if you drive in bad roads. I have driven through all the roads and my car gave great controll. Only thing is bootspace is less. You cannot carry more luggages. Still you can carry bags but you cannot keep big suit-case and all. But for my need its fine.
The car will give you a reasonable power, Good gear,Nice built in stereo, good power steering and more over good interiors. AC is powerful and it make you cool in less time. I am getting 17km/litre with half time AC and my car is not services for the first time.
The Dashboard is big and the small people will not get a good view.

Hi Friends,
I have purchase the A star. There was lot of confusion while selecting the car. There was A Star, Spark, i 10 and zen estilo, so I decided to consult some professional. I spoke to a good mechanic from mumbai and he insisted to got for A star and not to go for i 10. He told me that i 10 has pickup problem. So decided to go for A-star. I think so I have made right decision. It is less specious but it is fine for small family. Good fuel economy.
Over all good car, value for money. Jai Ho!!!

Its 2 months since i have bought A star...... this is the car on which maruti can bet upon.... with 18 kmpl in its initial phase this is truly a star in its category. If u r planning to buy i10 or for that matter a small car, then take a look at this one.
I have got more than what I expected.
People say that rear seats are cramped, but let me tell you, adjust the front seat according to the driver and then sit behind, u'll feel the difference. If a taller person like me sits in i10 drivers seat, i think as if some one has tied me with ropes and my legs touch the dashboard in front, but a-star has a lot of space in front.
All in all I give full marks to this car in each and every area....

I have been owning A-star ZXI since last 6 months now. Done more than 2200 KMs.
USP for this car should be it's mileage and pretty look. I got 19.2 with AC. I have tested it earlier without AC and it gave me 23.3.
Car is loaded with all required safery features like dual airbags, ABS, tubeless tyres etc. Car is really a fun while driving. One execellent point is it's silent engine. Few of my friends who owns Ford Fiesta, Swift, Honda CITY etc. were mistaken by that. Engine was on, and they tried starting car again :). Real smooth car. Music system is also very nice. I read somewhere that they are from Nipon which is inbuilt in this car.
One having small family and concerned about mileage must go for this car. and afterall no other car in the world comes with such safety features with such pricetag :), it's definitely value for money car.

This car has been very much successful due to it's fuel economy. It's selling by name "Alto" in Europe and it's doing pretty good. Nissan is also selling this car with name "Pixo". I have seen some of them on Europe streets. You try to search in google and will find that car is really doing good. Even it's going to be launched soon in Australia too.
USP for the car is it's mileage and safety features that it offers which is kind of unique in small car segments. Also it's Euro5 ready and environment friendly car. So, who loves environment would prefer it. I have read many comments on mileage varying from 14-22 KM/L. I personally get mileage of around 18 in city.
Car is good overall for a small family and for city drive. I have driven it upto 140 KM/HR and it was perfectally riding well even at that speed, which was really amazing.
I will give 5 out of 5 to this car.
