I drove the 5 speed MPFI M800, which was discontinued by MS for unkwown reasons, maybe eating up Alto's space.
Lookwise, both exterior and interior are outdated. The plastics look ordinary, the Dashboard has very basic functions-lacks an RPM board.
Why M800 rules the road now is its fuel efficiency. It gives around 15-16 in the city and 20-22 in the highway. Running costs are also low.
It has not given much trouble. The AC puts a big strain on the engine, performance takes a backseat with the AC on, but that is expected from a 800cc. Although on the highways, driving with AC did not pull down performace.
Because of it's small size, parking is not a big issue. Can fit in most places in India. However, it may be bit toosmall, with people struggling to find some space at the rear seats for leg room and space.
The Rear splits were a good addition, and the boot space was good enough to fit in a few luggage boxes.
Excellent Fuel Economy, Low running costs, Small, hence no parking issuesbit crampy, looks outdated, AC puts a strain on the engine.
