The lower end models are value for money. The higher end not so.

There are a few things that did not appeal at all: 1. The boot/trunk has to opened with a key only. There is no boot release lever. These days you need to open the boot everywhere - parking lots, shopping malls, hotels etc. for security purposes. This means that the driver will have to stop the engine, and walk around to open the boot lid. Very painful. 2. In the test car that I drove, the rear windscreen did not have rubber lining; this may cause the glass to break. This apart, it is a Left Hand Drive car modified to a right hand version. Cost cutting features include: - Placing the power window buttons in the centre (aisle) of the car as opposed to the traditional placement on the door armrests - The door armrests are kludgy and uncomfortable - The rear seats do not fold down and there is no centre armrest. On the pro side, the loaded 1.6 GLS comes with driver side airbag; the efficacy of airbags in India is however yet to be ascertained. Also, a radio/CD player is included. The cost of the loaded Logan 1.6 GLS is marginally lower than that of an Accent 1.6 GLS. In terms of driving comfort and interiors, the Accent is a distinctly superior car.Too early to tell!!Poor interiors; too many shortcuts and cost cutting
