Exterior Only Thing that this car has let me down on!
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Given the price tag, amazing. This is what I was sold on.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very very good. I've already done 80,000 kms at an average of 19 km/lts.
Ride Quality & Handling Very very good!
Final Words If looks and also the image ( Not all airport cabs are Logan's in Hyd because of the value proposition) are not a priority, this is an ideal pic.
Areas of improvement Well, if this was the perfect car then the manufacturers wont sell anything else. So some quirks are necessary to keep future open. In this case the car is an excellent value to drive but looks are not all that attractive especially from behind. Also now the car is being used by cabs all over so has been tagged like that. Just like Tata Indica was an awesome small car but has the same image problem.

I see there are no reviews for the Logan Tourer on this site, so thought I must write one, having owned one in the past. I opted for the car only because it was a Mahindra, who are known for their Scorpio, Xylo & the Bolero vehicles.
Here is my take on the vehicle.
The car is the 1.5 diesel variant and the color I opted for is Java brown. It looks fabulous!
The engineer I spoke to told me that the vehicle should easily give a mileage of 15 – 16 km per litre. And true to what he said, the vehicle did give me the mentioned mileage when I took it for a spin on the rough Blue Point road near my house, and only slightly deteriorated since.
Now, about the air conditioning, the cooling is entirely good and the Tourer has had by far, the best of all the previous vehicles I have owned (Baleno, Maruti 800 etc.). The smooth leather seats make the ride even more comfortable. The spacious and expansive color coordinated interiors made me feel at home. I kept in mind not to over speed J
The vehicle performed smoothly in the rural roads and the steering was smooth at some sharp turns. The pickup is ok, but shifting the gears was a breeze. The dashboard is striking and I managed to play music effortlessly on the Bluetooth music system.
The power windows worked smoothly and the parking sensors proved to be helpful.
Overall a wonderful car.
PS: I even got a set of VIP bags which made themselves comfortable in the spacious boot.
A satisfied customer.

Although I had a low budget (around 6-6.5 lacs)
I was looking for comfort, space and sturdiness in a car.
My friends didn't recommend me the Logan saying that its not a good car. to hell with them!
Logan was the best choice I've made. Its spacious sturdy and powerful for a car at that price. The pickup of the 1.6 litre engine is fantastic. It has a brilliant engine immobilizer which prevents car theft and a child lock feature for the back door.
It’s very good for long drives. Leg room is fantastic. The only thing which i miss is seat adjustment in my variant. Now, I wish I'd waited and bought the cool new Logan PLAY variant. It has a really trendy look and comes with alloy wheels, vinyls and a host of features like USB music system, parking sensor, driver info system, etc.
pick up, engine, space, comfort, fuel economy and top speedseats, could've waited for LOGAN PLAY!Exterior/Styles

hi,
I am from Chennai and bought a logan 1.4 Glx four months back after looking at ikon 1.3, esteem .
the +++++
For the past four months I have driven over 4000 kms. You have very good feel when you sit in the driver's seat. you feel like you have become moulded to the seat. In the highways the car's performance in the way of pickup, mileage, handling is very good.
I am getting an average 11-12 in city with AC 14-15 in highways with AC, which is good for such a big car.
the seats are very spacious. a bigggggggggggg boot.
ac is good. mileage is good.
the ---------
the reverse placing of the wipers results in water being sprayed on the driverside windshield when it stops.
i get a schooing sound at cruising speed from the engine with ac on.
the placing of the power window button is very odd and uncomfortable. i was told by the mechanic that they do not have independent relay switches. ( I used to have the power windows connected to my remote, when the car is locked by remote the windows will automatically rise)
as everyone has pointed out the absence of remote boot opening
overall I am happy to have bought this car.
sundar
good fuel economy, spacious, good feel in driver seatrear boot opening, slight engine noise

I bought Logan on 6th April '08 from G3 Motors, Nerul New Mumbai, the driving factor being widest car and it can accomodate (adjust) 4 people in the rear seat, so a family with 6 people can ride easily. I have driven 2600 km with 1st service done, so far I'm happy. For looks, I got the spoiler fitted and it improved the looks.
G3 Motors, Nerul has provided EXCELLENT after sales service and support.
Pros: 1) Very Comfortable, True Value for Money.2) Smooth Drive on bumpy roads 2) Good fuel economy compared to car in the same segment
Cons: 1) Mediore Interiors compared to car in the same segment.Built quality too seems to be average 2) Ground Clearance is low, as car has hit the speed breakers many times.
Overall I'm happy to own a Logan.

I got a new Logan GLX 1.4 yesterday. This is my first car and I think it is pobably the best sedan as a first car. I will post more reviews once I have driven it around. What I have given in the ratings is the first imperssions that I had.
Some of the things I didnt like
1) The positions of the power window buttons are very peculiar.
2) The parking light and left and right indicators, all of them are indicated by the same sign on the dash. Cant make out which one is on.
3) The levers for the indicators and the wipers are reversed. My friend who drives a Maruti kept on putting on the wipers at every turn.
Some things I loved
1) Boot space. I think two average sized people can fit in the boot easily.
2) Decent performance.
3) leg room - very comfortable. I am 6ft3in tall and probably this in the only car till date where I could fit in very easily as compared to other hatches.
Huge interior space, vfm, big boot space, decents looks, Driver information systemaverage interiors, average body paint quality, peculiar power window button locations,Exterior/Styles
