Exterior
This really is a headturner. In the 3 months that I have owned the car, it certainly draws the attention and gets positive comments even from people outside India.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
It is full of so many features that no other SUV comes closure. The new version has better interiors and added features like sun/moon roof. The powered driver seat, best in class music system that doubles up as a navigation tool, cooled compartment for beverages, camera assisted parking and lights that get switched on when you turn the vehicle are just too good. Seating for 4 people is quite comfortable and even 6 to 7 is not a trouble at all.The touch screen interface disappoints at times, especially while using the phone in Bluetooth mode.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Have driven around 1800 km. Engine is quite responsive from 3rd gear on wards. 1st n 2nd is a bit of a lag at times but I guess that can happen to diesel vehicles. On wide open roads, it is a pleasure to drive the Cheetah. Fuel economy on Bangalore roads is around 10 km. Have not travelled log distance so can't comment on the mileage on highways. Gearbox is a little hard and can be better.
Ride Quality & Handling
Handling even within city limits has been quite good actually. Overall ride quality is good but suspension needs more attention.
Final Words
If you are looking at buying an SUV for the family, look no further and rely on the Cheetah. my family is quite satisfied with this value for money package. It's a thumbs up to Mahndra for this vehicle.
Areas of improvement
Gear box, hand break and the touch screen interface needs more refinement.
