Not a true GLOBAL SUV for all its claims- Quality needs improvement

Exterior

The exterior appearance is fantastic, commanding on the road.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

1.The dual tone on the dash board is plasticky, cheap

2.Quality glitches with the glove box

3.infotainment software had problems twice within the first month of ownership and I was told the Software has already gone for 3rd revision with the bugs fixed from the earlier 2 versions

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

1. Good pickup,

2. Not measured the fuel economy. So given a FAIR rating.

2. GEARBOX - BIG PROBLEM. My vehicle in the very first week of my ownership, had this problem of gear NOT ENGAGING. For the first time in my life, I had to get down from my vehicle and have it pushed to the road side by 4 people on the road. SHAME... The gear would not engage and after my strong complaint, Mahindra provided the required service to FIX THE PROBLEM. But I was not expecting a 15 lac GLOBAL SUV to have such serious problems in the VERY FIRST WEEK OF THE OWNERSHIP

Ride Quality & Handling

Smooth and handles like car.

Final Words

Good looking SUV but the Quality of the mechanical Systems and interior fittings needs to be thoroughly reviewed if Mahindra really wants to claim this as a GLOBAL SUV with all the latest LUCKY DRAW initiative!
