Exterior Exterior is good looking.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Auto seat adjustment would have been more convenient.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel average is always showing( or getting stuck!!!) 9 although I reset it couple of times. The gear position is not displaying quickly in the digital display. There is too much delay.

Ride Quality & Handling While riding, I get strage noise from engine side as if there are some loose parts hanging inside.

Final Words Buy XUV but not from India Garage. Since the day I got the vehilce, the stepnee tyre is showing low pressure. The vehicle was given without floor mats although I had paid seperately for it. I apid for rear guard but till date they don't have stock of it.

The driver door needs a hard pull to get closed. The left side speaker grill has some white patch which is not attended till date. Left rear view mirror makes some noise. Driver Seat was dirty when delivered.

Areas of improvement Customer service at the delivery point is horrible. The dealer has not listed all available accessories in the list...like reverse camera, head rest video. The roof top video is advertised in Mahindra website but it is not available with dealers. Very frustrating!

Exterior this cheetah looks fully furnished dashing and huge but still is a light car to handle thanks to its monocoque construction and also this car is loaded with all features.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This car looks nothing less than a premium luxury sedan from the inside and during the night It looks like a room on its own with all the lights on but the third row has less thigh support and with the third row opened the boot goes reallly low.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox No problems with it as it goes smooth as silk.

Ride Quality & Handling The right quality is average bit handling is upto the mark.

Final Words If u want a family luxury suv which serves u as a 30 lakh car but costes the half this is the car to bye.

Areas of improvement Third row comfort and the suspension can be better.

Exterior Good looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious and comfortable, execpt for the last row seat it's ment for kids.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel performance is good I have got an average of +15 Km/l on long trips.

Ride Quality & Handling Excelent. Has a bit of problem while brakeing so went to G3 motors and they were kind enough to get my front brake pads changed for a new design.

Final Words We are very happy with the XUV and have done 3 trips to Goa nad back to mumbai and have enjoyed evey bit of the driv.

I have never had a problem with my G3 motor dealers in Mumbai, they have always been kind and helpful taken care of the small problems that were there, have given the XUV back on time. Hope they continue this kind of service even after the warranty period.

Areas of improvement NA.

Almost everything about the XUV is good. It's a beast on the road.Last row only for kids, cant sea't a adult.

ELterior looks good enough to bring a customer for enquiry and finally make him buy the packet of problems.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox are at level of old mahindra  vehicles like armada bolero and really gives you a feel like you are a customer who loves the drive quality of a tractor and mahindra has obliged by offering you XUV. BUYING A INDIAN PRODUCT means YOU CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE T ERM "DEVELOPING NATION" MEANS.

Ride Quality & Handling Scorpio is a better product. XUV500 IS A OPTICAL ILLUSION MAHINDRA FANTASIES IN DREAMS AND HAS SSUCCESSFULLY SOLD IT to INDIANS LIKE ME WHO TRIED TO OVERSMART THOSE WHO BUY FOTUNERS AND CAPTIVAS. Finally making myself a joke  like old hindi films in which whenever a affluent character plans a trip outside town driver humbly tells " sir I have allready sent the vehicle to motor mehanic to get it ready for your voyage.

Final Words Please buy fortuners captivas dusters etc. If dont have budget then wait.  Hindi saying" menga kharido to rona pare ek baar. Sasta kharido to rona pare baar baar.

Areas of improvement UPDATE IN MY REVIEW --  I GOT A CALL FROM MAHINDRA THEY TOLD ME  my vehicle was thoroughly checked last time and it will not need visit service centre again before next service. I haveALLREADY DRIVEN 500 KM AND DONT HAVE ANY COMPLAINTS BECAUSE VEHICLE IS RUNNING SMOOTH.

 exterior is very good ooking but there is a plastic boby used in some parts.

lot of features but used low quality stuff.

space is very good in front two rows, third row dosent have that space but good for children.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine has a very high torque which gives a jerky pick up , gives a milage of aprox 9 kms/lt in city. 70 liters of tank is a very good thing. Gears are really very hard.

 handling is pathetic, as stearing vibrates sometimes on high speed & is not very sterdy and braking at a high speed is also a big issue, hv to brake with a lower gears help. Suspension  is very bouncy, can feel the pot holes more than they are as the suspension throws back like a spring.

 

 

Final Words

 my car is 1.5 yrs old only but had to replace suspension twice & still not satisfied. yes company has replaced it for free but taking the vihicle and get the work done is also a big headache. They dont keep spare parts in stock they order it as per requirement which is waste of time.

Areas of improvement

Mahindra Needs to look into the product very seriously  .

 

The entire car needs to be looked into.

I dont expect so many features in the car but whatever available should be of best quality and durable.

Exterior

The exterior no doubt looks the best. This is again something that can be based on perception. However, I feel that there is no other car apart from Tata Safari in this price range that look this good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 The space for driver and co-driver is huge. Also the space in third row is massive. The only downer being that the 2nd row seats are although reclining (just one level recline) but are not slideable to create more space for third row which is a little cramped.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Engine is super smooth with excellent low end torque and super damping inside the system so that we dont hear engine noise. Also the gear shift could have been smoother.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride for the first two rows is fantastic, especially for a full grown SUV like this one.

Final Words

 Its a great buy. However if they were to reduce price just a little bit, i feel Duster and Terrano will be goners and no one will buy them.

Areas of improvement  

The company should do a PR campaing on how they have improved the 2014 version of XUV

 Love the styling. I got a white one and it looks beautiful.

Tons of advanced features. NAV is very useful. Can use some UI improvement though. I wish there was a way to turn off the infotainment display. Auto wipers and lights makes life easy. Lots of storage compartments.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 This is the best part. You can feel the power when you overtake trucks on highways. Fuel economy is better thah an Innova. I still have some issues in the 2nd gear. Engine stalls.

 Good quality ride. It drives more like a car. At times high acceleration can swerve the vehicle to the side because of the engine torque.

Final Words

 So far so good. Did 4000km in less than 2 months and love it so far. Only issue so far is thwe tiretronics malfunction.

Areas of improvement  

 Interiors need to be less plasticy. Ability to turn off infotainment display. Slightly more boot space.

 Purchased XUV 500 W10 on 14.10.15 and on 05.11.15 the gear box broke after a drive of about 930 Kms. I am so sad, the whole engine had to be downed and the vehicle is still in workshop. I bought it for Diwali and i am without it on Diwali. The dealer and company are in no hurry to solve the problem. Its really sad that there is such a poor quality control that a vehicle cant even run 930 Kms.

 Preferably don't buy due to poor quality. What more can you say about a vehicle which did just 930 Kms and the engine gear box broke

Excellent performance with its mHAWK140 engine, awesome pickup, good Spacing with Seats, 3rd row spacing is quiet conjusted, A/C for 2nd row doesnt gets cooling as front and back row.

And the major draw back is, the ICY BLUE LOUNGE in w10 should be available in W8 also, but itsnt.

And the problem with the DISPLAY is. The vehicle gives 11kmpl-12kmpl but in FUEL ECONOMY its just 10.1kmpl.

A/C isnt spreads to the hole space. He is 18 MONTHS old and even survived the FLOOD. Still he is the KING. The most loved one is the SENSORS. Everything is pakka with ths 140bhp beast.

And the little drawback is The 2nd row isnt ADJUSTABLE as the last and front row. The service here in pallavram and Ambattur is really good and intreacts with the customers in a friendly manner and also helps the customers.

Since its HYDRAULIC clutch the travel of the clutch is too far i.e the relaesing of the clutch is half the normal release of other cars and in RUNNING TRAFFIC its little difficult to HOLD the clutch for  long time.
