Exterior Excellant Exterior design and finish
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good international features, spacious and very confortable though the last seat has less space for an adult
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good and gear change feels good, fuel economy is ok, have recently done a trip to Mclaeod Ganj (HP) about, 1200 kms, it has given ~13km to a litre.
Ride Quality & Handling Overall good feel while driving and handles very well. Though there is vibration while exceleration.
Final Words A good vehicle from Mahindra Stable with features which are available in high-end SUVs. Will give a tough competition to other SUVs.
Areas of improvement Brakes - Something ought to be done in this area. While breaking at slow speed, lot of vibration and noise (just like old DTC buses janking, People who've travelled on the rickty old DTC buses would know). Even after a change of brake pads, the problem cropped after driving 200 odd kms.

Exterior Suberb Exterior design and stylish lights Setup.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lighting, Leather seats are more than wanted. 10 cm Extra gap in the back seating would have been great. Music system is also a huge asset for the vehicle. Navigator and bluetooth are well updated. Power windows and OVRMS are great to decrease load of the driver.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is the highlight of the vehicle, it is smooth and powerful giving best mileage in the class. Gearbox should have slight developments in the near future.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb not feeling bored after driving for striaght away 300km also. Overtaking the other vehicles is an ease. Brakes are making sound and there is a fair amount of brake dust falling on the wheels while baraking in 20-40 kmph speed.
Final Words If you want an SUV with all features go for XUV5oo. Best for Indian Conditions.

Exterior The exterior is quite good. although its hit or miss but one can definitely live with the exterior design. In comparison to what is there in market in 15 lacs bracket, XUV is quite refreshing.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am quite satisfied with the features given in this car. Have not found any problem with any of them and all seems to be working fine. Although I was quite worried after reading the reviews but my SAT NAV is working fine, speakers on both side are okay. Touchscreen is working quite well. All lights and buttons are intact. Some buttons are quite flimsy and regular use of them will demand early replacement. Overall its quite spacious except the third row which is strictly for kids.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox So far its good performance. I did face problem while changing the gear from one to two and two to one. But now i am quite comfortable as I dont need to change the gear to one even at red signal. The car takes off quite smoothly at second gear so that problem is solved. Engine is peppy and pick up is quite good while overtaking. Although some time there is noise while using undergear which gives me indication to change the gear.
On my recent trip to Aurangabad we got an average of 12.9 with AC on all the time which is quite decent.
Ride Quality & Handling On slow speed the car suspension do not absorb any bad patch of road, however we drove the car at high speed of 80-100 and even the bad patch seemed absolutely smooth and perfect. We didnt felt the bad road at all.Overall ride quality is excellent at high speed. On low speed its quite good on even road.
Final Words I will give 8 out of 10 to this car.
Areas of improvement Would love to see improvement in Gear change becoming more smooth. Cabin noise insulation to be done properly. Car suspension to be smooth on slow speed on uneven roads.and Finally some more power like 180 or so.

Exterior I think it is the most stylish SUV around. Solid external build & stance. LED lights are good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is superb, Its comfortable can carry more than 7 passesngers with ease. Acres of space in the second row of seats. Position of steering wheel gives a good feel.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Powerfull engine, excellent torgue its a breeze to drive. I have done 15,000 kms the performance has been flawless. Have driven XUV at 140 kms per hour it shows rock solid stability.
Ride Quality & Handling Suspension could be softer, brakes could have been better.
Final Words Great SUV virtually no competition in this range. Powerfull street presence. Easy to drive manouvre.
XUVs toltal package is quite good no wonder it is selling as hot cake. Mahindra's service centre are also quite resposive & caring.
Areas of improvement Seats to be more comfortable, brakes could be better, inside platics could be a bit more better. The interiors could have been more crisp and elegant.

I bought a car 6 months back, but more than half the time it is at the service centre, the response from the service centre is equally pathetic. The car has n-number of problems. From the software for cameras to the general fuel and milage problems. The car for longer drives is pathetic as the seat comfort level is below ordinary. I have had the indicator issue for several days, when you use the indicator sometimes the circuit trips and it has to be sent to the service station.
The service stations of this car are also not good and not very responsive, they shed responsiblity of any problem caused to the car.
I suggest you to not buy this car, the resale value to my top end model is already down by 5 lakhs. Apart from the fancy looks it has nothing to boast. I was foolish enough to buy the car. And it has been a pain in my rear since then.

Exterior Eye catching exteriors, specially parking lights, head lights, curvy shape and Macho look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior colour is not very nice, it is on more darker shade. Infotainment system is uncaomparable with any other car ( even high segment).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Power is good, 140 bhp for a 1700 kg kerb weight is enough for city and highway drive. Fuel economy with AC, I am getting approx 15-16 km/ltr in highway. Gear shifting was the issue, but it is rectified in first service.
Ride Quality & Handling My driving is 120 km/ day. I am very comfortable with the ride confort.
Final Words This is the best car in this segment, I have driven 5500 kms in two months. No trouble so far. The features are not even in costlier cars like endeavour, Captiva or even in Fortuner. The best part is Mahindra's after sales response. They are very caring and responding.
Areas of improvement Brakes effectiveness to be improved. Also they should have some more options in interior colours. Interior colours, really I do not like.

Exterior It looks like a real cheeta.it has a very good exterior.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Full of features, full of space, full of comfort😊. It has power window.it has power sterring.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its gives overall 13.9kmpl in city and 15to16kmpl on highways. it has 7 gears adding reveres gear. The XUV gets the familiar 2.2-litre mHawk engine with a variable geometry turbocharger similar to the one in the Scorpio. However, it now makes more power and torque – 140bhp and 33.33 kgm of torque – and is placed transversely. Mahindra is offering two versions – a front-wheel drive version and an all-wheel drive one. We drove the latter and we’re impressed. The mHawk engine was always known for its responsiveness, strong mid-range power and refinement and there’s more of the same here. There is a hint of lag below 1500 rpm, the turbo kicks soon after and the engine pulls cleanly to its redline. The meat of the power though is between 2500rpm to 4000rpm – keep the engine spinning in this range, and you will find effortless performance. With its easy to use six-speed manual gearbox, cruising at three digit speeds is a piece of cake and apart from a hint of turbo-whistle the engine is refined. The XUV’s lighter weight also helps its sprightly performance and fuel economy as well. The ARAI fuel efficiency figure for the XUV is a class-leading 15.1kpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Its handling is fabulous and moves very smoothly like water.
Final Words Its a excellent car.
Areas of improvement Nothing.

Exterior XUV is simply the best styled SUV around. It makes Hyundai and Chevy SUV's look tame. The stance when parked is just too good. The styling is so good that you really dont need aftermarket add ons. You are sure to get a second look when this cheetah prowls.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious interiors especially the Front and middle rows. Literally a play ground for kids (so the conversation mirror is very useful) The last row is very similar to the Innova, bit cramped but still manageable, considering the separate A/C vents. When this row is pulled down, it frees good amount of boot space, which other wise is not there (with all seats up).
There are tons of mini storage spaces, reading lamps, mood lighting. The music system (ICE) is really really good. I liked the quality. It accepts multiple sources of music, Ipod, USB, Bluetooth, Mobile, CD etc. The climate control is very intuitive and effective. The instrument panel look pretty cool.
The equipment level though is just superb, the amount of features even in the base model will blow away other brands like (SKODA, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This does not feel like a diesel engine, especialy with the tuning Mahindra has done, Absolutely no noise filters into the cabin. Mine XUV W6 is a Nov'12 manufactured vehicle, I have not noticed any gear or clutch or brake complaints, The gear box though I feel can be improved more. Mahindra has been listening to the customer feedback i guess since launch of this product and fixing niggles reported by older customers. The Cruise control feature is superb during long drives. No need to put your feet on the accelarator. Like playing a game. It reaches 150-170+ kmph with ease.
I am getting 12 kmpl with AC in city and 15kmpl in highway, which is a good mileage for a vehicle this big.
Ride Quality & Handling I travel daily via rough roads , (literally bad enough to affect wheel alighment of sedans). But my CHeetah zooms along on these potholes, and has tamed this road. I see other sedans struggling on the same roads with their low ground clearance and notchy suspension. I feel very proud to be an XUV owner. The handling as well is super. The steering column is again newly developed and nothing has been borrowed from Scorpio. It handles exactly like a car. I had a Dzire earlier and I feel as comfortable and sure inside my cheetah.
Final Words THis SUV is bang for its buck. The feature list is endless, you get stuff that is present in brands like AUDI, Honda, etc. at a fraction of the price. There's stuff thats not present in some of the premium brands too ;-) You will not regret buying this.
Areas of improvement
1) Mahindra still has yet to build a name in customer service. They sure have done something different with PURPLE CLUB and dedicated Relationship Manager for each owner. Time will tell if the service promised is delivered. For now I dont see any issues with vehicle. Mahindra appears to be eager to fixing issues based on customer feedback.
2) As a consumer I am happy with the interiors maybe because I had Maruti earlier :-) But I think they still have long way to go to reach levels reached by brands like Honda, Hyundai etc. Again no complaints.
3) There is minor body roll, but again this depends on the extremeness of the road. The road grip though is good enough. Also, the suspension is good enough to not let small bumps.... even speed breakers to not filter through. You'll not feel them :-)
Super styling and stance, Superb Road grip and driving comfort, Good road clearance and suspensionMileage is reasonable but could have been better. Boot space is non existent without last row down.Exterior/Styles

Exterior Good. But the plastics used in the headlamp unit is not scratch resistable.the win shield also is not scratch resistable.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Gr8 feturs. Plastic qlty nit good.space is excellent.third row of seats is less spacious.ride quality is gr8 in highway but on bad roads vibration is felt by all passengers.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is not that great compared to 2.2 engine.gearbox is so rubbish.gearthrow is long.fuel economy in city is 8-9 and in highway 14-15.sometimes i got a mileage of 17km.it has a top speed of 175km per hour but when i drove the car above 100km per hour a sudden vibration takes palce.finally its boring to drive the car.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride qlty, well amazing.but turbo lag and vibration is still there.handling is comfortable but not that great.
Final Words pretty big and efficient suv at that price. But service, electronics and mechanism of mahindra...very bad. Dont waste 16 lakhs for this poor suv.better go for the skoda yeti.

Exterior It looks like brother of Xylo
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It has good features but dont knw how many days will they work.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good. Gear boxis little sluggish
Ride Quality & Handling Good.
Final Words Car is average
Areas of improvement The problems I have noticed in first 3months.
Cheap quality of platics, Car Left head lamp was focusing downwards, some part inside bonnet got broken by itself, without any accident. Left wiper is not standing erect when you manually wipe the front glass. I dont know, how many days it will work without any hassels.
Intially service center guys said that it needs to be replaced on customers cost.. But since I insisted them to replace and it was just 3 months.. THey have replaced them approx. it is costing rs17000.
Mahindra should improve the quality of spares. I think it is better to purchase Innova than taking the XUV to service centers..If you have enough money to spend the goodies.. THen it is good car to go with :)
