Exterior After 6 months full of thoughts, advises, reviews, dealer visits & test drives, I finally purchased Verito D4 in Diamond White Colour on 20th October 2011. I have test driven Fabia, Manza, Indigo, Punto, Swift, Rits, Polo, Vista, Etios & Liva. I cancelled my booking of Swift which was to be delivered on 24th October (Dhanteras). Today my odo clocked at 1054 in the morning. Appealling front, black roofrails, chrome designing on butt, double side biddings, I dont understand how people name this vehicle "BOXY LOOK". I find it very appealling, sporty and gentle.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Though the switches of power windows, wipers & lights are on odd sides, but within 20 days I became familiar to them and now I can operate them with closed eyes. Apart these, every thing is well placed, smooth & solid. However, there is no place for a water bottle which is needed anyway. On the other hand, if we see the space, it feels like we are sitting in some spacious room or something. I have my wife, two kids and my mother in my family and there is no problem in sitting in this big vehicle. Rather we can adjust another person on back seat.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very smooth and responsive. Though the pick up is not so great as in swift, but there is alway a feeling of responsibility in its pick up. The vehicle dont zip like toddlers, but really behave like matured and responsible MAN. And once it is out of second gear, the great feeling to be in a sturdy and posh vehicle comes and really, driver do not want to stop enjoying the pleasure of driving this beautiful powerful machine. If we come to fuel economy, I was expecting it to be around 18-19 kmpl in city conditions. But with great pleasurable surprise, it is delivering more than 22 kmpl in cramp traffic conditions of festivals and marriages and moreover, since its purchase, I am driving in city and yet to touch any highway. And this is only beginning as it ran only 1000 kms and FE tends to rise after 1st or 2nd service. It is literally beyond my expectations and really welcome. Regarding gear shifting, I need to place that I have never driven any luxury vehicle like above 10 lacs and till purchase of this vehicle, I was driving Maruti Zen for the last 8 years and gear shifting of Verito is no less than of that. I find it smooth and upto the mark and never faced any problem.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent. However, I am feeling that the clutch is somehow hard and should have been more smooth so as to reduce effort in bumper to bumper traffic condition. On being asked for this, the company people told that it will be smoother after 2nd service or say after 5000 kms.

Final Words As I stated in my heading, "it delivers nothing beyond your requirements", this vehicle fulfill all your requirements whether fuel economy, durability, sturdiness, sedan car, exterior looks or so on. Now only if u think of silly amenities like Bluetooth, steering mounted audio controls, rear AC vents, double blower etc. etc., u find this awsome vehicle less than ur expectation. Another thing I need to reveal that the reason of its low road presence is only its low road presence. I mean than v people decide to purchase the vehicle on our friends or relatives advise / looking neighbours, coulleagues purchasing which vehicle and never apply the common sense that v are going to purchase the vehicle with our hard money and for our convenience. And I am sure, as soon as people become learnt qualities of this vehicle, u will see it everywhere.

Areas of improvement As I said, clutch should be more smooth and light right from 1st kilometer driving. Apart from these, one or two bottle space need to be incorporated in interiors.

DATE : 29.03.2012 I AM EDITING MY REVIEW

So, my odo now clocked at 7300 km mark and i driven this vehicle for one long journey from Jaipur to Jammu. And i could not believe at once, it delivered a overall mileage of more than 26 kmpl. Its more than amazing n surprising to me. Moreover, the AC was on all the time. I m very much happy with my choice. The hard clutch softened very much and the pick up in 1/2nd gear improved drastically. Now it zooms even in 1/2nd gear. On highways, though i drive between the range of 90-100 km/h but whenever needed, the vehicle responded beautifully, particularly at the time of overtaking. And as it is already more than five months of ownership of this awesome machine, i have full confidence n control over it and over my driving. I keep saying myself GREAT CHOICE SANDEEP.

DATE : 14.05.2014 I AM EDITING MY REVEIW

Now, it is 33,000 kms of effortless and uninterrupted driving with my Verito-D4. At this juncture, many crucial points are to discuss. First of all the cost of paid service, for which i never paid beyond 3500/- for regular kind of service (inclusive oil change). The vehicle is running really great. Since it purchase, i have been at Dalhousie, Dharmshala, McLeodganj, Shirdi, Nainital and upto Baralacha Pass (approx 100 kms before Leh) with this vehicle and have to say, this vehicle supported my jouney like anything. I have no words for praising it. Meanwhile, very important issue to reveal that i met with an accident in July 2013 when i was driving to Bikaner from Jaipur. I was follwing a truck which suddenly stoppled due to road maintenance and as at the very moment, i was changing the pendrive in my music system, i could not notice the issue in time and all of sudden i was nearly 8-9 meters from that stable truck with a speed around 95 kms/hr with no airbags in my car. I just stood up on my breaks but at last, my car hit that truck at behind and all the front part of the car got crushed. It happened within 2-3 seconds and as i wake up from sleep, come to know that i had a severe accident. First of all, i checked myself whether everything intact or not, or say am i alive. Surprisingly, not a single scratch poised upon my whole body. Then i came out of car and checked the vehicle, the poor car got damaged serverely with all parts in bonet (including radiator, airconditioner, coolent tank, cover of engine) crushed, the windshield got broken, both side fenders were shrinked and diesel tank was blasted. I was shivering with fear that if it would be a etios or dezire or alto, i would also have crushed alongwith car. That time, i noticed that the car was having a thick beam of steel behind the plastic bumper. It came out only with reason that the plastic bumper converted into small plastic pieces. That time i came to know that the reason for my survival in this severe accident, is this beam which did not allow to shrink the car body upon me and remained the steering bar at its place. U can imagine the intensity of the accident with the repairing bill amount- 1,77,000/-.

After repairing, the car become like it was and my family suggested that the car should be sold now as it is ominous as i met with an severe accident in it. But on the contrary, i reciprocated with words that this car is not ominous, rather it has proven divine as even after having an accident an 95 kms with no airbags, i remained unscratched and then i did so what i meant.

I am still driving my Verito, my divine car, with more love & affection than any time in the past.

Excellent Fuel economy, Sturdyness, SpaceHard clutch (so far) now it does not feel as it was

I took a test drive of Mahindra Verito D4 in Mumbai on 30th May 2011. Here are my comments:

Exterior It’s all Mahindra now and they have removed Renault name and logo from the car. It gets Mahindra logo in the front, rear and on the center of steering wheel. Rear spoiler and appliqué looks posh and gives an image to the car. Body side mounting & cladding and roof rails gives enhanced looks though I feel that they are not required.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No car in this category can beat the space Verito has. It had got ample headroom, legroom and shoulder space in the front and rear. Driving in Mumbai city traffic was really easy because of lots of driving leg space. Three adults can sit comfortably in the rear seat and they have one headrest for each of them which should help to make long journeys more relaxed.

Power window controls for front windows are on the centre console and for rear windows are in middle (behind the hand brake) but they are easily accessible to operate. A/C is powerful enough and the passengers at rear felt the cold air even at 2.

It has boot opener and fuel lid opener in the cabin but bonnet opener is on the front passenger side, it’s odd but it won't be used that frequently hence it’s ok.

Dash board is simple but informative. It has analogue tachometer but fuel and engine temperature indicators are digital on the LCD display. It also has on-board computer which displays Average fuel consumption, Average speed and Distance to empty. This is very useful for they who do frequent long journeys. There was no music system in the test drive vehicle.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox We drove in Mumbai city traffic for around an hour with A/C on but the fuel tank mark on the dashboard was showing empty!!! The dealer told that it has got around 8 liters of reserve and can go for another 100kms without refueling. I found the gear shifting very smooth. Clutch, brake and acceleration pedals were a bit hard but I guess they'll soften once used regularly.

Ride Quality & Handling I felt the power steering was hard but the dealer informed me its because the car is new and PDI is not done. It will improve after that. Otherwise the ride quality was really good, didn't feel and jerks while driving. Braking in traffic was very controlled.

Final Words Its spacious, runs well, suspensions are good. Overall it was a comfortable ride in Mumbai traffic. It’s a good attempt by Mahindra to get rid of Logan's taxi image. Mahindra will have to provide excellent after sales service if they want to make this car successful and not another taxi.

Areas of improvement Wipers turn from right to left. Some may find it odd!!! Top-end variant (D6) does not have USB enabled music system.

Spacious, Comfortable to drive, Good SuspensionsPower window controls, wiper direction

The Verito retains the Logan’s trapezoidal headlights. The front end though, gets restyled fog lights which give the bumper a more pronounced look. The front grille has been slightly redesigned to hoist the Mahindra logo and thankfully, doesn’t bring in the ‘bunny-tooth’ treatment from the Mahindra SUVs. The addition of chrome garnished roof rails adds a hint of sportiness to the Verito but doesn’t hamper the car’s wide-body image.😎

Get inside the car, familiarise yourself with the buttons and the layout and you immediately see the shortcomings of the cost cutting involved. No, I’m not talking about low-rent plastics or materials – in fact the materials used are quite satisfactory for a car of this category.

Yes, these are quite a few shortcomings but are easy to forget once you start appreciating the Verito’s comfort level – at the front and at the back. The seats are wide, cushy, come with adjustable seatbelts and are ergonomically designed as compared to the switches and levers in the car. The Verito’s back seat gets three headrests, therefore underscoring the fact that this rear bench is meant to seat three adults in comfort. The high roofline provides ample headroom for all passengers and imparts roominess to the cabin. The farthest I drove without a break was about 220 kms and none one of us in the Verito had any complaints about head/back/butt ache or motion sickness.
      Mahindra-Verito😎
The air conditioning in the Verito is top notch. Even in the hottest temperatures the air-con still managed to cool the cabin in jiffy even on a hot Hyderabad afternoon. The Verito also has a pair of redesigned outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) which are now bigger in size than the Logan’s. No electronic operation for these though, even on the top end model. The windows however get the electronic treatment but the switches are awkwardly placed and the auto-down/up function for the driver window is sorely missed. The Verito places a digital multi-information display in the instrumentation console which has read outs for the odometer, trip meter, range calculator, real time fuel economy, temperature gauge and the fuel gauge.

The Verito continues to use the Renault petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine produces 65PS of power at 4,000 RPM and 160Nm of torque at 2,000 RPM. Start the engine and it settles into a muted burble which is on par with other diesel vehicles in its class like the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire and Tata Indigo. At idling RPM, there is no handshaking vibration in the gearstick whatsoever. The clutch feels a tad heavy as compared to its competition and needs getting used to. I particularly do not like the way the Verito gets moving in first gear as the test mule felt very sluggish off the line. But once in second gear and past the 2,000 RPM mark, the 160 Nm of torque makes driving this car a breeze.
      Mahindra-Verito

The Verito’s suspension is a big surprise. Around the bends the Verito holds its composure like none other in its segment – bettered only by the Ford Fiesta Classic. The Vertio comes with McPherson-type suspension upfront with a wishbone link. This setup gobbles broken roads and pot holes without a thud like an automatic vacuum cleaner that runs around the house gobbling every ounce of dirt lying on the floor without breaking a sweat. The steering feels well weighted around corners and on the straights but feels a tad too heavy for city use. It should make your forearms stronger, nevertheless.

      Verdict:
Right from the beginning of this review, my tone must have got you to believe that I absolutely hate the Verito / Logan. But trust me, I’m far from it. As an automotive journalist, it is my duty to point out all the shortcomings of the vehicle, but as a true auto buff, it is next to impossible for me to hate the Verito after driving it for over 400 kms in three days. Yes, it does have those little niggles that Mahindra should have addressed during the transition. But these niggles are too small to ruin your experience in the Verito. It looks and feels very basic, but the engineering it top notch. Everything is so well put together that it just works like a charm. The car is comfortable in the city and on the highway. The engine is peppy and frugal. The suspension lets you push the car to its limits without any unnerving body roll and still manages to take care of the pot holes and broken roads without breaking your back. And this is why it is a hot favourite amongst fleet operators too – for the engineering just doesn’t fall apart.
      Mahindra-Verito
That brings us back to two things – the price and the understated look. At Rs. 6.62-lakh (ex-showroom) for the top end diesel variant, the Verito is one of the cheapest diesel sedans as compared to its competitors. It completely warrants the price with its no-nonsense approach gives the entry level sedan buyers everything that they are looking for. Yes, the looks are understated and old school. But look at it this way, after a very extensive market research in India and after taking inputs from zillions of people, Toyota came up the highly successful Etios sedan which looks so much like the Verito / Logan. Do we still need more reasons to believe that understated and elegant designs coupled with the bare essentials are still in demand in India as compared to radical or overtly curvy, feature rich cars? I think not...

      VERITO TRIVIA:
Also a few things about this car which normally are not mentioned anywhere as they are not known to people.
To start with Renault-Logan (A.K.A VERITO) is expensive because most of the body parts are still imported from Romania..., This car is basically designed for European countries like Romania, Slovakia, Serbia etc and its a budget sedan with good safety features. You will be surprised to know that the suspension of this car is that of Renault-Clios which is going to be soon made in India. Infact most of the parts are being shared from Renault-Clio and that's how they were able to keep down the costs. The Verito (Renault Logan) is the only other car apart from Volkswagen Vento which offers 5 years of Anti-corrosion body. Verito's (Renault Logan) body is made with 18mm steel which makes the car very heavy and strong. Also the car has amazing Off-Road capabilities due to excellent ground clearence of 172mm and due to very less body moving parts there is absolutely no rattles even after 3 lakh kms.
This car is very cheap to maintain and the maintenance cost for every 10000 kms is not more than rs.3200/- . This car features a Variometric A/C which chills the car in no time. The tyres are also nice and thicker compared to other cars in this segment. Last but not the least this car poses a very big Boot of 510liters and it has one of the best N-Cap ratings in Europe.

Trust me...If One is not too particular about the Interiors you can close your eyes and go for the VERITO.

Great A/C, High Ground Clearence, Great Mileage, Cheap Running Costs, Strong Body, Great SuspensionOk Interiors, RHS Wiper, Initial Turbo Lag

I got my new car on 7th of July 2011 and next day I drove it from Shimla to Yamunanagar (a total distance of 215 kilometers) in very bad weather. The rain was falling and the National Highway was slippery. Out of 215 Kms, 90 Kms track is in the hills. At many places the road was not good and I had to suffer traffic jam at Kalka, Pinjaur and Panchkula. Same happened on my return journey. Heavy rains and traffic jams. yet Verito, in its maiden run gave 20.9 Kms per litre, which is really very good, keeping in view that the car is new and has done less thna 500 Kms. With first and second service, the car will give more thna 23 Kms per litres. This is what I feel. In good weather one can expect even more provided one drives this car with love and affection.

      Exterior

The new Verito has good looks from outside though it is a metter of personal perception and attitude. People may find the car still like Logan and not very dashing from outside (box shape etc.). Yet I feel that Verito, with small modifications, has an improved look. It seems to be a seasoned person's car, not for young people. Looks are deceiving and performance should the criterion.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

As I stated elsewhere in my previous review, cabin space is adequate. In many cars of this segment, space in the back is not adequate with the result that three healthy persons can not sit comfortably. I test drove Lienia and other cars and found  back space somewhat cramped. The car is wider than even the Manza. Three persons can sit comfortably in the back with ample leg room. Front seats are also quite wide and comfortable for long drives.  There are some controls which are placed at odd places, but I feel that one gets used to them very soon. The indicators are placed on the left and it may take time to get used to them.

Quality of plastic, fabric etc. is good keeping in view the price of the car. One can not expect top end material in a car of this price range. Yet interior is pragmatic and should be OK with most of the buyers.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

As I wrote in my earlier review, the best part of the car is its engine and the power that it emits. Even though the diesel engine produces less power than manza, yet there was no lag in acceleraion and torque. But at times in heavy traffic, I was having a bit of trouble to move the car. But this is expected. In hills, torque is more important than power and Verito does the job appreciably. The gears are smooth. The brake padel is a bit hard (wooden feel it gives). But the engineer told me that it will become somewhat soft after some use.

I wish mahindra people do something to increase the power by a few PS.

Fuel economy is very good. Mahindra cars have lived up to their claims. Though I could not test the car for long duration, but what other users have told me the fuel efficiency is more than expected. I will get my car in a few days and I am going on a very long trip the same day testing the car in all sort of conditions. After that I will again write this review.

      Ride Quality & Handling

Now after driving the car for about 450 Kms in one go, I will say that handling of car was exceptionally good. Ride quality was fine and I did not feel tired at all. The steering is smooth and respsnsive. First time buyers should be careful with steering as it is very responsive. I did not get the feeling that I was driving a bigger car.

      Final Words

I will definitely recomend this car even if one finds its exteriors not very trendy.  At this price point, one can not expect feature of very high end cars. But this car has all those features which are needed by a common user. Go for this car without a second thought. I said elsewhere that as a good looking girl may not be a good wife, so a very good looking car may not be the best option. Incidently, my mechanic in Yamunanagar approved this car and the car got looks of appreciation from many people walkingon the road.

      Areas of improvement

Boot lid needs some more improvement for better looks. Audio system is needed in almost all the varients.

Good mileage, driving comfort, adequate power and good brakessA bit of lag but this happens in diesel cars

The front part looks good and i feel its on par with other car in its class. The backside is not in flow with the design and looks  fairly good with the attachments made in the verito.

The plastics used are better than other cars in its segment and the equipment level is ok.But the interiors too have flat design and no curves or bends. The seats are comfortable and its the only car that can confortably seat 5 peoples. The steering is nice to hold and gives good fedback in highways and the gearbox is sleek and does its job perfectly. The diesel engine has enough power and gives good economy. The Driving comfort and handling are on par with the cars in the next segment such as corolla, optra etc.

      GO FOR:

Verito If you ant a solid car with good engine and cheap maintenance and its the only car that has the crash proof in its segment. it offers good comfort and handling compared with other car in its segment.

Etios If you need the brand value. The car is good but does not have a good handling compared to verito. Its also not solid  and fells that its lighter(cost cutting). The quality of plastics used is also not comparable with verito. But its the 2nd best car according to me in this segment.

Fuel economy, maintanence, comfort, space, driving pleasure, good controlErgonomically not perfect

      Exterior Better then logon.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In india, 5 person can easily adjust in this car.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good as per price ( I Tested figo Diesel and Fabia Diesel).

Ride Quality & Handling Better then Figo Diesel.

Final Words I was planning to buy a car in approx 6Lk, I tested Figo and Fabia, Rits, Swift etc. Swift is too old now and looking like a very old car with 4-5 month waiting. then I tested ritz.no word to say, dont know why maruti launch ritz. its just like a wrong turn.

then I tried Figo, the majour issue is ground clearance. we was only 2 person in car and CAR touch a small speed  breaker. I know that no one can provide guarantty for RAds, if those get effected then it may cost approx 80000/- so figo Failed here. then i tested fabia, its seem to good but maintanance worry. I found fabia is in 6.28Laks, in same budget I found Sedan as Mahindra Verito. So why we use Hatch. While we have choice to have sedan, average maintanance with good power and performance, Look is too good as per budget.

Areas of improvement Must have power windows and Central locking in same budget.

No commence accepted. please do not comment on my view.

Exterior is looking very good ,as many of people may not be agree with me but as my liking ,it looks really like a car not like a reverse boat as verna fludic and some other.Roof rail gives it as sporty look, rear spoiler ,Mahindra Logo and body decals (only in Excutive model) really enhance its look.I think this is a liking of matured professional person who understand that all modern designer car componey will back again on this universal old design . Most of car componey is now designing the shape of car like this only but minor changes here and there like Tyota etios & Skoda rapid.I think  that on  the basis of exterior look the choice of car may differ in various community of people but they too can not compromise on comfort and performence of  car which the Mahindra deserve. As myself being a Doctor, like the shape of car but more inclined towards this car due to its comfort level and performence.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) is not very good, its display console is not very attractive. Its music system dysplay and AC nob is very old type not looks good.(I have seen D6 model not excutive). In dysplay computer the digit and sign of indicator is less visible as small font. speaker of audio is not of  good quality. The brochture says that in excutive D6 model they are providing leather seat, leather upholistery. silver door handle etc and now I can think that this may certainly increase its interior look.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox No dought the performence wise it is very good, pick up  is good as required, gear shift is very smooth.I felt that accleration of car is more than Vista Saffaire Petrol which I possess now.The same day I took a test drive of three car ,Verieto D6,Swift Dzire Zdi,and Verna fludic 1.6 I found that performence of Verieto is better than Swift Dzire but little bit less than Verna 1.6. One month earlier I drove Tata manza and Tata Indigo . Although Tata Manza pick was good but Indigo was stammering on low speed and also making more noise  inside cabin and outside. I was again surprised to see that  the Mahindra Verieto on paper emit less power and less tarque than above four car but performence wise it was equal . In my veiews its simple answer is that in normal driwing we do not utilize the whole power or tarque of any car. The gear shift of Mahindra verieto was very much smooth among all above five cars. If performence  of car is to asess then one can see the review of Logan which performence is proved by user. The engine is same as in Logan.

Ride Quality & Handling Very good as very much leg space and comfort seat but some odd situated swich button were irritating because we are right user and left driving. The gear shift is very nice. I increased the speed 100-120 km/hr during test drive to see the vibration on stearing but there was no vibration but stable even on this speed.

Final Words I liked Verieto among three because Verna performence is good but its looks is not my liking more over it`s top model is 300000 Rs costlier than Verieto. As swift Dzire is also good but its performence is average and small cabin space  which provide discomfort when three people are sitting in long journey.Only due to maruti name and its after sales service One can go for Swift Dzire. The Tata Indigo Manza interior is same as I possess my vista so I do not want to take same internal experience in my future new car. The some thing which is missing in car like Parking sensor (approx cast 6000 Rs), stearing mounted bluetooth control audio (approx cast 3000Rs,) good speaker(approx cast 3000Rs)  can be added in Mahindra Verito then no dought it will be more better than any other car of this segment. This is self driving car not by Driver ,This may be a thought of Mahindra & Mahindra who is providing only driver side airbag.

Areas of improvement Interior cabin and some more color in D6 excutive model and also which is more importent is aftersales service. A.C fan noise which is more than any other car. I will continue to update this review to next six to eight month till I buy this car.

Roof rails, shape of car, comfort, performence, and fuel economyDisplay console, music system nob, odd position of swiches of power window, opposit side of turn indic

I drive M800 currently.Tested all enrty level sedans.my running is 11000km per year, mostly highway. Dezire rear view is difficult & least back seat space for all(fuel 11-14kmpl petrol) but good resale value.Ikon costly maintence in the long run & only cosmetic changes in new model, sales go up with new launch & then fall down(fuel 11-13kmpl).Accent outdated(fuel 9-12kmpl).Indigo CS again poor dealer service & high maintenance cost after 1-2 year due to poor build quality but cheap to buy.Aveo is again not so popular. Logan (1.4 glx edge)has best colours, space, fuel economy(14-16) & INTERIORS is excellent --premium leather seats, wood  finish centre console, kenwood system with i-pod slot, reverse parking sensor, body graphics with purple colour body paint, boot release button, exhaust muffler, trip computer, central locking with engine immobilizer, rear door child lock & rear power window lock. not to mention the huge space inside.Room for 5 adults & 1 child.Tyers 185/70 R14 tubeless standard in all versions.Braking time & safety is on par with ABS models. Big front & rear windscreen is always helpful in driving as I get excellent view all around.High seating position helps a lot in city driving. Checked up with other customers & confirmed low cost of running.Dealer service just ok.no fog lamps in front(cost Rs.10000/- -- why).power windows button placement???. Review after 1st service: Very comfortable for long journey.Drove 4 hours from coimbatore to munnar hills & 2 hours break & then again 4 hours to Kottayam. In return drove via Ernakulam/cochin  continously 6.5 hours.People stop & admire the looks everywhere I went. The purple colour with body graphics & leather seats attract attention.Mileage achieved was 17kmpl.(714 kms 42 lts petrol). This includes highway & city driving.Kerala cities traffic is horrible.however no problem in handling city traffic.Bad roads, potholes  & small bumps no problem as the suspension is for Indian roads.Strong Car.Safe car. Current average of city & highway driving is 17-20kmpl.(30:70) at speed of 60kmph & at speed  of 100 it drops to 14-15kmpl(with AC on).Driving with or without  AC gives same mileage. My service cost was Rs.46.00 only. However service quality is just ok.They forgot to clean the front & rear windshield before delivery of the car.same for both rear view mirror.Second service cost at 9000km was 1490.00.Third service at end of year 11900kms  cost me Rs.1136.00.

Best Interiors & Fuel Economy in class,Easy to handle in city due to good visibility of all sides.Price can be reduced by 30000/-.PICKUP is low

      This is sellakumar from salem,

I bought logan 1.5 DLE in may 2009 and driven 83788 KM [Self Driven]. Here is my experience,

This is my first car to own and drive and having a priciple of purchasing vehicles without loan. Without any knowledge of driving problems I went to this car simply because of mileage and space. After driven nealy 83788 KM, I suffered lot by "clutch and steering. By this time I had driven diesel varients of fiesta, swift, vento, polo, innova, micra, figo, indiga and indigo XL of same type and scorpio, innova and even sumo. After comparing same problems of my car with the cars listed above, irrespective of other features, Logan [now verito] has "very very" hard clutch like ashok leylond lorry clutch[really no difference].

Verito is a logan with different makeup.

      Steering - Mixed feeling

I am not a taxi driver, Engineering post graduate and doing bussiness, counting days to change car and every drive goes as devil drive.

Final Words If you take car occasionlly, expect Mileage, Space verito is ok. If you drive car everyday like me then prefer bycycle rather than verito because you get less pain in legs in cycling rather driving verito diesel.

Areas of improvement Clutch Clutch Clutch Clutch Clutch .....&  Out look and.

Exterior Not that much stylish. Looks bold and strong. I am satisfied.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, Great comfort, AC, Nice power steering, Unimaginable Boot space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fantastic engine power - 1500 cc, Awesome mileage - 20 kmpl in offroading (before first service).

Ride Quality & Handling Great driving and handling comfort in off roads.

Final Words In just one month I have driven 2800 KM and very much satisfied with Verito D4- diesel. I am very much proud to be an owner of Mahindra Verito D4 diesel and recommending the same vahicle to the guys who are looking for a good cost effective vehicle. I did the test drive for ford figo, Swift dezire, fiesta and Verito. By considering lot of factors which satisfies my requirements, I finalized Verito D4.

The Verito, with its bold lines and subtle curves, is a classic, masculine machine.

      • Roof rails
      • Side cladding
      • Bold fog lamps
      • Rear chrome appliqué

Areas of improvement Fog lights for lower versions.

Space, comfort, AC, powersteering, engine power, mileage, Boot space, opening the front 2 doors from inside even if we locked it.
