Exterior Good looks but paint and material quality is very poor, welding spot on body are visible on every door, tail light fittings are not good.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very poorly designed interiors shear waste of space, could have done much much better. fibre and rubber quality used is not up to the mark, fittings are not in proper alignment.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellant engine performance very good pick up and power output, probably the best engine Mahindra has in its stable, not satisfied with the gears though. good fuel economy for its class : city 10 to 12 kmpl and highway 14 to 16 kmpl but thats with my driving.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is very good and ride could have been very good if someone can stop the rattling of doors and seats, little cramped on middle and last row, specially last row leg space is very less.

 

Final Words A beautiful vehicle not made to the mark by Mahindras, could have done much better with a little care.

 

Areas of improvement Quality of fittings, finish of paint, interior designing.

 

Good Exteriors, pickup and powervery poor interior designing, could have utilized the space more sensibly

Areas of improvement  

engineering design : Clutch, cooling system components, power window, service station personells 

Bad experiences  

had a major expense just within 2years of purchase. the whole CLUTCH SET ASSEMBLY had to be replaced. costed me around Rs. 35000

the POWER WINDOW problems were in existence since the inception of my ownership of the vehicle. got the whole assembly replaced, a couple of times, during the warranty period, and got them replaced for two of my doors just about now, for 3000 and odd an each. Though they have not functioned smoothly, ever.

the most recent setback... a cooling system rubber pipe broke and my engine had a heat-up problem. since the nearest service station was atleast 250kms away, i had to keep on driving till the pipe got replaced. very soon after about 150kms, there was yet another casualty in the same cooling system, and now another pipe leakage occured. again the engine was in dangerous heating phase and had to keep driving for the next service station. ultimately, i had to get the WHOLE ENGINE OVERHAULED which costed me a whopping 1,00,000

... all these within a meager riding use of 60000kms

look, comfort, versatility in usepoor quality parts used in most critical areas of functioning

Exterior

Really good, Especially with SLE (Cause it comes Without Graphics), Good door handles, Musculine look,  Air vent on bonnet gives feel of performance it can deliver.

 Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Pretty decent, however not good as compared to innova(I know its nor SUV, but still). Defenitely better than safari(many might disagree)

120BHP! Amazing performance. U actually have to control this monster. Fuel economy is good(U will get even better in M2Di model) I get around 12Kmpl in city & 15 on highway. I heard M2Di being 75BHP gives 15Kml On highway.

Gear shifting is a big issue. Its not smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling

Excellent! As I said the turning is much better than safari.

 Final Words

 Its defenitely value for money. Its Mighty, Musculer & dependable.

1. BUYING WAS VERY EASY AS I WENT JUST TO RECEIVE THE CAR, EVERYTHING HAPPENED ONLINE. 2. DRIVING IS EXCELLENT. IT FEELS LIKE TOY CONTROL WISE. 3. VERY GOOD PERFORMANCE. 4. DOES NOT NEED MUCH MAINTENANCE IF DRIVEN ONE HAND. 5.PROS : YOU WON'T LOVE ANYTHING ELSE AFTER DRIVING THIS CAR. CONS: YOU ARE DEAD IF IT MET WITH ACCIDENT BODY PARTS ARE MOSTLY FRAGILE .

 

Exterior Great looks, This SUV is a KING on the road. Trafice respects you, when you drive a SCORPIO.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Could be better. Has the looks of a typical Indian made car (like the one TATA cars have).

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Too good - Still to figure out the fuel economy. The new Scorpio rightly tagged as 'Mighty Muscular' continues to retain Scorpio's worth and credibility in the market. It is introduced with a more powerful mHawk engine and revolutionary micro-hybrid technology. It also confirms to strict emission norms and makes the new Scorpio India's first BS IV car.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Very good - Look and Style The vehicle looks absolutely fabulous and with the new styling looks classy on the road.   Comfort It is really comfortable while driving it and once people are seated.

Final Words Overall a great buy, - Value form money, you can't get such a car for this money.

 

Areas of improvement Interiors could be a bit better.
