Hi all,
I have done a lot of Research on all MUV/MPV less than 10 Lacs.
Three MUV/MPV comes less than 10 Lacs. Ertiga, Enjoy and Quanto.
Ertiga and Enjoy has 1248cc engine where as Quanto has 1493cc which gives unmatched power.
Ertiga gives 89 bhp, Enjoy 76 bhp, where as Quanto gives 100 bhp max power
Ertiga has 200 nm of torque, Enjoy has 188 but qut quanto has 240. superb pick up.
Quanto has max width and height, means great comfort. only length is less than others.
Quanto and Enjoy has Rear Wheel Drive upper hand the ertiga.
Since Quanto has max power and pick up, it also has less mileage than others, but the difference is not too much.
Ertiga gives 19, Enjoy 18 and Quanto 17.
Interiors are good but does not used good quality of plastic.
Ride Quality and Handling is very good tha others.
Above all Quanto is cheaper than others.
I took test drives of all the three, and finally purchased Quanto.
I purchased quanto C2 at Rs 6.34 Lacs onroad including corporate discount.
Then i have painted bumpers, door handles, front grills(from company),
installed side foot steps (from company) and double din SONY stereo , purchased alloy wheels, mats .
Mahindra gave front and rear bull bars complimentary.
Still less than 7 Lacs.
FINALLY: QUANTO WOULD BE A VERY GOOD CHOICE.
Unmatched Power, SUV feeling, Super Pick Up, Looks compact but has Good Space, Mileage is goodInterior is Good But Quality is not Everything else is very goodExterior/Styles

I have driven for the last 3 months and overall am happy.
Exterior is great (we should look at it unbiased and not think its a cut and paste version of xylo) it looks even more cute after I have fit in a roof spoiler. the down side is that the panel gaps are wide so its difficult to clean.
Interiors Well its spacious, but poor plastic quality is the down side.the driver seat is great. you get an excellant view of the road. windows are wide. the second row is not comfortable at all. so its not a car to own if u want to have a driver drive the car. upholtsry is not great.
Its great to drive and its getting smoother and smoother day by day. steering is a little numb and its huge(dont know if its really necessary to have such a big steering). The whole car shakes when cranked thats puts you off at times. it gives around 12-13 km/l in the city. It has some body roll but I think its largely exaggerated by critics regarding servicing, I got it done at chrome. they did a great job and are very customer friendly. Over all I think its great value for the money u pay. It has great potential to be a market success provided.
1. We stop thinking its mini xylo and look at it unbiased.
2. Stop the unfair comparison with duster and ertiga ( both in terms of length and price they are different) quanto can only be compared with primier rio, ford ecosport and probably volkvagan taigun in the future.
Areas for improvement Quality of plastic, second row seating comfort and steering.
Looks good, good power, good for city drive as well as for long drive, good view for driverPoor quality of plastic, steering is little hardExterior/Styles

Exterior Company could have make it little beutiful like duster, but infact the shape is practical hence 3 stars.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I dont think there is other spacious and comfoartable car in 7.5 lakh. You can remove all the seats and put mattress LOL just a joke 😊. But yes its very spacious. I got leather seats installed from a reputed agency and now its comforatable also
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I had CRDi 1.5l verna, you have to keep eye on speed, but quanto is perfectly balanced.
Ride Quality & Handling It has a speed alarm system, i got it set @ 90 KMPH, so whenever car exceeds 90 it alarms me. Body roll is equal to any ladder frame vehicle. Handling is also good.
Final Words If any one is looking for a good SUV go for it. I bet as of today you cant get any at 7.5 lakh. We were looking at toyota innova but we got a bargain
Areas of improvement The plastic quality needs to be improved.

Exterior Stylish from back side. Completely thought through product, to say, door lamps, foot step to get inside vehicle, Great ground clearence.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Too many features for the price compared to any other manufacturers. ABS, Adjustable steering & Driver seat, Micro hibrid features, food trays at the back, plenty of bottle holders, Hand rest for front seats....OMG, who will give these many features for 8.3L on road. Plastic seems to be not the best, but i believe, better than any maruti interior. i had a wagonr earlier.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I drove my quanto for 8500 KMs in last 7 months, 65% on highways, 35% on city roads and 95% of the time with AC ON. Mileage is around 14 KMPL. Though i have not measured completely on highways, i believe, it gives a minimum of 17 KMPLs on highways. All these numbers are when i drove the car on complete AC.
Long drives are really amazing. Great smoothness and no noise inside. I drove 650 KM in a stretch with 2 breaks and i didnt get too much tired. Gear box appeared tight initially for 1 month but i feel it is safe, especially due to the teeths Mahindra had deployed to avoid gear slippages.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable in driving.
Final Words Best Comfort, loads of features, safety with ABS, GREAT Mileage, all in LOW Cost. It always surprised me, when people buy i20 or Figo for >7.5 L, when they have quanto ready for 8L.
Areas of improvement I am not too greedy to expect any thing beyond this for the price I paid.
Nice driving experience, Good fuel economy, bundles of features at low costMinor observations, but for the cost i pay i cant comment on this.Exterior/Styles

Exterior The looks are not very pleasing as a car.but we get used to it .People give second looks. It is too tall but not proportional to length.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good space, cup holders and all pouches trays and all.I feel plastic quality as good as Dezire.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good the engine has good torque and pickup is good the hybrid stuff is very nice.
Ride Quality & Handling Not very but as long as you dont go too fast max 80-90 km/h it is fine. The seats are hard and needs good seat covers.
Final Words If you are planning to buy Dezire or Etios dont I would advice you to go for this.Though the jump seats are not very comfortable you dont no when you will require them so it is very practical. The overall package is good but if you are more of a speed guy and if you enjoy fast cars then this is not for you if you like to travel an if you enjoy the journey more than the destination well then this is the car for you.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Vibrates a lot.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear shifting is hard, too much engine noise, fuel economy is around 15 KMPL.
Ride Quality & Handling Average, worst.
Final Words My suggestion, never buy this vehicle!!! it is only good for those who want a big box. After sales service is like cherry on the cake, my experience with 2 centre Gurgaon and Delhi only end with more disappointment.
In last 1 year, my vehicle has gone to service centre at least 10 times, minus 3 services.....per me i have a sub-standard product.
Areas of improvement Built quality, interior, engine vibration, gear shifting, fit & finish, most importantly improve customer service and after sales service, after a point customer service stop responding to your emails, add to your frustration and make it a clear case of mental harassment.

Exterior
Over all design is good, my main concern is its tyres. It should have atleast 16 inch. Should have given more ground clearence.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Its a mini SUV. When its come to space its nice. 3 big people sit comfortbully in middle row. last 2 seats we didnt used much but twice or trice no complaints. If last 2 seats are ditachable I will be more happy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Driving is smooth, and engine is powerful.
Its 8lakhs SUV/Car and its fuel economy just 11-12 kms in city and got max 15.7 kms on highways.
Ride Quality & Handling
No words, just perfect.
Final Words
As fello reviewer said "A good innovation but lacks proper execution".
First its a great car in terms of performance and interior space. We are of big family looking for atleast 7 seater and Quanto seems right one for us with 5+2 seats option, Basically a 5 seater buthad 2 extra seats when necessary. I am a big person 105kgs with5.10 height I comforibly sat in last 2 seats for 4 hours drive without problem. So you dont have to ask more. Only problem is with packed car AC didnt reached last seats as expected.
I had done so much research before buyin this, as a big family my requirements are 5+2 seating and fuel economy and shuld less than 9 lakhs. This will help you people
Nissan Evaliya/Ashok Leland Style: 20kmpl, Big Interiors, best in the category but above 10 lakhs
Chevi Enjoy : 17kmpl, just ok interiors minimun 9 lakhs onroad. Its a people mover than family car.
Quanto : 17kmpl, Sub 4 meter car so easy to drive and park, actually 5 seater with 2 seats extra, 7.5 - 10Lakhs
Honda Mobilio: 25kmpl, Actually I want to buy this but still not released.
Areas of improvement
Fuel economy should atleast 15kmpl in city.
Tyres should be atleast 16inch that improves ground clearence too.
Design and style, interior space, Yoga seats, robust car at this priceSmall tyres, pigmy look, Fuel Economy in city 11 kms

My conversation with mahindra Company and still no reply from them.
Hello Sir/Madam,
My self Tushar Patel from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I had purchased mahindra Quanto model C-8 vehicle at 23-OCT-2012, from "Punjab Automobiles (india) Private Limited". I always given this car for service regular basis. I am attaching all invoice records with this email. Before that I had a Maruti Wagon R and used till 4 yrs and sell it. So no chance about my driving skill. At Nov-2014 in car had a issue and given to Punjab Automobiles and they said having issue in engine???? wow, I think all car segments having a Indicator alert before when any issue arise in engine but this car never and we had no choice at that time. I had also ask for warranty but its already expired and I asked service manager to repair engine and solve all issues and then ask for warranty for 2 yrs for engine but at that time they said why you want to extend, after repair engine we will already given 6 months warranty after 6 months, you can extend for it. No need for now. Now what happen, my car also have a issue like water leakage issue from radiator. This issue we already faced when engine have a issue. when my engine had a issue in Nov-2014 at that time same issue I faced. So I asked for warranty before 6 months completion so now they are not agree to give extend warranty. So now I am afraid for this car again.
For avoid confusion, I was thinking to show this car to different service provider for better resolution. so for diagnosis, I binged my car to "Sheetal Motors" at 25 july 2015 and they said in your car have a radiator issue. You have to changed it. but I have already changed radiator at 19-Jan-2014 again same issue. So I again went to punjab automobiles and those guys said, in car radiator is ok but heating coils have a issue. so you need to changed that and charge will be around 12,000 INR. Wow what a rubbish things are going on? what should I have to do??? who is correct, Sheetal motors or Punjab Automobiles? There are only 2 providers in my city. So I really confused about it.Seriously this car gave too much headache. No body answer to me even I asked to customer card but never get any single reply. now tell me what should I have to do??

The Quanto is a bit of a mixed bag and it depends on how you view it. Its keen pricing allows it to compete with several hatchbacks and it also makes an interesting alternative to one. The Quanto may not have the sophistication or finesse of a modern hatch, nor is it as frugal or easy to drive. But for sheer practicality, it's hard to beat. Its well-equipped cabin is shockingly spacious and the additional two seats in the rear (which we feel are best left unused) could be crucially important for many. Yes, the dynamics are unresolved and the cabin quality is not up to scratch, but what makes the Quanto special is its lofty driving position, massive ground clearance and sturdy underpinnings, which allow this compact SUV to go where no hatchback would dare to.
While 98.6bhp of power and 24.5kgm of torque from the small-capacity engine may not appear generous, the well-judged gearing and the two-stage turbocharger (a first on this class of car) results in impressive driveability. The engine hits a sweet spot from as low as 1600rpm and there is a linear and strong tug all the way past 3000rpm, making the Quanto ideal for low-speed and in-traffic driving. Trundling along in third gear at 30-40kph, you need just a gentle squeeze of the throttle to ease past slower cars. However, the superb low-speed driveability comes at the cost of top-end punch. Even the mid-range isn't particularly strong. The rubbery gearshift doesn't feel great either, but it's something you cannot avoid during quick overtaking manoeuvres. The shortfall in grunt requires a downshift or two.
Also, the three-cylinder diesel thrum becomes more apparent once you get past the 2500rpm mark and is hard to shake off at high revs. In fact, revving the engine to its 4600rpm redline is pointless as, in the last 1500rpm, it only gets more vocal without adding any pace. You feel the shortfall of power most when you load up the Quanto with a full complement of passengers or when powering up a hill road. For the record, the Quanto takes a leisurely 16 seconds to reach 100kph and reaches a top speed of 143kph.

Exterior Very good looking. Everyone who came to showroom were impressed on Quanto and its exterior. MOst of the visitors came for Quanto at Sireesh Auto, Bangalore.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Faily good. No complaint. AFter looking at several reviews, my daughter and I were worried about interior which was surprisingly good if not excellent. The colour is sober and may be why interior has received poor reviews.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine pickup was very good. Reached 0-80kmph in no time and from 80-100 in another few seconds.
Ride Quality & Handling As many people complained, there is a slight roll over at 100kmph speed which I noticed when turning to avoid a barricade.
Overall we liked the card. My daughters and I were impressed. My wife wants a cheaper car such as a Maruti 800. As our primary use will be long distance drive on highways, I have decided to go for Quanto. I will select C6 as I do not need air bags though alloy wheel and parking assitance are nice features in C8. I wanted ABS, which is available in C6 itself and hence my selection of C6 model.
