Exterior Stunning Looks for a Mini SUV - first vehicle with a powerful diesel engine in the segment, Would make more heads turn around and see this quality Mini SUV. Would definitely have the Primi Mover advantage and very few from competition can think of pricing below this
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good leg room, head room and a great replacement for the City hatch backs.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Lower engine noise, good pick up , easy and smooth on gear changes.
Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality and handling , good visibility, elevated /tall boy seating - a welcome feature for driving in crowded city roads .. the vehicle I test drove required adjustment on the brakes.
Final Words Great buy at the price and definitely has potential to rule as a leader in the Compact or Mini SUV segment which has been carved out by this wonder
Areas of improvement Second row of seats need improvement with a tilt option. Need to make brakes more effective... may be the one I test drove was not adjusted properly being a test drive vehicle.
Driving comfort, good pick up, lot of value features in the C 8 top end version, and a VFMSecond row of seating needs improvement with a tiltable option/recline optionExterior/Styles

Exterior Very good but Feel tyres are liitle smaller for such a big vehicle
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good very spacious Back AC DUCT Would have been very useful.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy around 10 kms per litre in city drive the first 500 kms Was assured by Sales that it will be around 12 kms after first service but still far below the expected 14 kms per litre( 17.2 ardi).
Ride Quality & Handling Jumpy ride in ordinary road Shifting gears are very tough
Final Words Needs to be tried for few more kms before finally commenting but mileage is very poor and have a problem with the remote key was told to take the vehicle to MPL garage at Saligram
Areas of improvement While driving on ordinary roads the ride is very shaky and jumpy Mirrors could have been fixed liittle higher and the lenght shorter Back Vent for AC would defenitely would have helped The remote key is already NOT WORKING WITHIN A WEEK OF PURCHASE
SALES TEAM AT MPL NEEDS TO IMPROVE KEEPING UP COMMITTMENTS.

Much better than Ertiga in all forms. it is one of the good advancements done by mahindra. they need to have ABS in all models as it is required in modern day. this is set to go and create records for m&m and wil set new trends in the market. Performance is at par with duster but the cost is comparitively less than duster.
So best of luck M & M for a mini SUV amd all set to roar
The seating though needs to be improved a bit but u can expect some changes with the feedback m & M gets from the customers.
So in the end good engine, good milage, good looks. need to see how the worlds first engine of twin turbo performance.
Again a very good vehicle to own and to drive this vehicle is a shear pleasure.
So best of luck mahindra and looks that this vehicle will achive the same standards as XUV500.

SUV on a budget. Always wanted a SUV for around 8 lacs. Quanto fits the bill. Huge space inside, great front seats, features. 3 cylinder engine tends to get rough sometimes, but good power. Excellent for city use. Slightly underpowered for highway cruising.
Biggest flaw is the ride. Passengers at the back will never be happy. Rear seat is also very upright. The vehicle rocks side to side. I wonder if I can chuck the rear jump seats and put in the rear bench from the Xylo which should be much more comfortable.
Another problem is that raissing the heavy vehicle on a jack is a serious workout. The jack itself is ill designed. It is too much of an effort. Will buy a new one soon. I also long for accessories in the market for the Quanto.
Final Words Overall a good buy only if you are OK with a choppy ride.
Areas of improvement Choppy ride, lateral movement, jack problem.

Exterior I found the exterior of the car very nice. Looks are better than scorpio and are comparable with safari. Look like a SUV and is much better shaped than Ertiga. One can drive in to his MNC office in this vehicle which is not possible with some of the other Mahindra vehicle like Bolero or Thar.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 1st row is functional and interior are ok. Second seat is like a govt bus seat. You can't adjust it. It is not comfortable at all to sit on this seat. Since there are two seats at the back( 3rd) , one can not recline it. So all in all it is not targeted at the customers who want to buy a sedan but some times do offroading or travel out side metros. It works for the people who drive on bad roads and use second and third row occasionaly. If the target group is new couple who travel around the cities on weekend then it should have the third row seat optional and second one should be adjustable.
This vehicle is likely to be seen a lot on the road but only as Taxi which can fit seven people and travellers will bear the journey because the taxi charge will be 20 % less than Innova. After all one can bear one day ordeal once in a while. Mahindra is not just able to come out of its Taxi Mode.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox As expected. Reasonably powered though not great. Fuel economy is 2-3 KM less than expected for this size of vehicle.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is comparable with Xylo which can be rated as Average to Good.
Final Words I waited for this vehicle for one year and wanted to buy it along with my existing Sedan to do off roading and traveling to my farmhouse once in a month. But who will agree to sit in second and third row ?
Areas of improvement Make third row optional. Make second row adjustable and make second seat as comfortable as Verito. Fire the product manager who designed an adverisement campain for an aspiring young couple but offered a product suitable to be used as a taxi. Align your thoughts please.

After following up with many showrooms, I finally enterd Mahindra. Actually this was my last choice. I got this car in 2015 Dec sale. flat discount of 2 lakhs on the car as it is 2014 model.

Exterior : Eye catching and eye turning. Sleek yet powerful looks. Elegant back side. Mounted tyre adds to the style.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Spacious, Comfortable. Middle row could have been tiltable. A little more headroom in the back seat would have added value.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox : No issues. First Class. Cruises on highways. Effective in city driving. Easy to park and retrieve. Good turning radius.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb : Slight body roll. Overall breathtaking.
Final Words : Go for it. It's not only value for money but also significantly better then Duster and Ecosport in being spacious and stunner.

After Driving Mahindra Scorpio (Base model 2600CC Turbo - Not the crde 75 K driven only) for almost 8.5 years I exchanged that with Quanto C2 @ same mahindra showroom. just paid 3.70 Lakh. For me it was a value for money deal. First impressions: No Major difference between sitting inside Scorpio vs Quanto. In fact the view is much better and brighter. The meters seem cheap against Scorpio but I am not complaining (you get what you pay for). However No one used to cut me in front of the Scorpio and people used to be afraid. (Mind you I never drove rash) but people do cut me while I am driving the Quanto. I now feel Scorpio had bigger street presence. I thought it would be the same given the size of vehicle but I was wrong. (again not complaining as it was my perception). Another difference between Scorpio and Quanto that I feel is that there was no knocking of the engine at 2nd or 3rd gear at engine idle while driving Scorpio. You cannot do that in a Quanto. It needs to be revved. Scorpio Torque was much higher and it was a very forgiving engine as against Quanto. If you are not in the right gear in quanto it will shake you up like anything with the knocking.
2nd Quanto drives much lighter than the scorpio. May be scorpio had gone old and I had not got it serviced for some time as I was thinking to sell it. But this one flies.. I feel that earlier I was driving a Tank (Scorpio) but this one is feels like a driving a very light vehicle, which it’s not.
Have bought white colour so it looks big. While negotiating with the dealer I asked for the Body colour bumper and mirror package and he agreed so it looks like top end now from outside. Have fitted the original Xylo 15”wheel covers so they look nice. Spent Rs. 2600 to buy 5 wheel covers at the Mahindra showroom. (One for the back wheel also and it fits well after some modification on the bolt where there is a provision for a lock. (little cutting required on the wheel cover. The cutting does not stand out so no issues.))Bigger wheels would have made a difference. Don’t know why Mahindra did not use bigger wheels. In my opinion it will give much better look.
Interior No problems so far. The driver seat is better than the Scorpio seat and has more back support and neck/head support. I never have to sit at the back seat so I am not worried at all. The front seat is more spacious that the Scorpio seat. So overall I am more comfortable now.
Engine performance as written above. It feels light but the engine is not as forgiving as the Scorpio. One has to be in the right gears otherwise it knocks a lot.
Fuel economy to me it seems the same- 12 KMPL or little less in city Conditions. Scorpio also returned me same mileage. However I was not speeding the Scorpio as much as I speed up in Quanto so may be that’s the reason of low mileage. May be with time it will improve. (I sincerely hope so)
Gearbox is ok. No comments. Sometimes I have an issue with the reverse gear but I guess it’s a matter of getting used to it.
Ride Quality & Handling I would say quanto is better as it has better view, seats, and much smaller turning radius. Body roll is the same as Scorpio. However Scorpio was a tad little smoother (negligible) but I can tell that people who are saying that it has excessive body roll have not driven SUV's at all. They all have body roll.
Final Words Guys this car is comfortable and value for money and not as much style (if you are expecting any style then this is not the car for you). Other day I saw a pickup vehicle from Mahindra which had a similar shape. If you want style and want to stand out then shell out 2.5 -4 lakh Rupees extra and invest in Ford eco sport, Ertiga, Duster or a Scorpio. This is purely a utility vehicle. I will have to now research how can I get the rear seat foldable – Aftermarket because only then it will become a utility vehicle.
Areas of improvement Bigger Wheels, Foldable rear Seat.
Like it overall . with few mods it will be a very nice MUVSmall Tires spoil the look .. Rear seat in not foldable in my modelExterior/Styles
