Mahindra XUV700

Positives:

• It gets a voice-controlled panoramic sunroof and is available in five-, six- and seven-seat configurations.

• The XUV700 is more spacious than the Hyundai Alcazar and almost as spacious as the Tata Safari.
• It has ventilated front seats, an electrically operated driver seat with welcome retract and memory function for the driver’s seat and ORVMs.

• In terms of comfort when it comes to seating, NVH, ease of driving, and ride comfort, the XUV is spot on.
• It is offered with both bench and captain seats for the second row, along with a one-touch tumble entry to the third row.

• The front seats of the XUV700 are large, supportive, and adjustable for almost everything.

• It is equipped with dual-zone climate control and an integrated infotainment and instrument cluster, both of which are 10.24-inches.

• Having three occupants to sit in the second row is a breeze; seats are generous and cushy, and hence comfortable.

• It is available with a 360-degree camera, auto headlamps and wipers, AdrenoX telematics, and Alexa functionalities like remotely switching on your home’s lights.
• It gets a Sony 3D sound system with 12 speakers having wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Negatives:

• The third-row seating is not a comfortable place to be for adults, but works for small distances.
• As the second row does not slide, one cannot liberate room for the last row when needed.
• One will find that getting in and out of the third row in the XUV700 is a bit of a job.
• The second row in the XUV700 could do with a little more thigh support.

Positives:

• It has ADAS functions such as automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.
• It comes with seven airbags, electronic stability control, electronic park brake, and auto booster headlamps.
• The XUV700 has received a five-star safety rating from the Global NCAP authorities’ crash tests.
• The seven-seater diesel automatic variant is available with the option of an all-wheel drive system.

Positives:

• The Blaze Edition gets the Blaze Red paint shade, exotic Blaze badging, black alloy wheels, and a dual-tone scheme with a black roof.

• The interior of the Blaze Edition is draped in black with a red trim around the centre console and red stitching.

• It is equipped with LED headlamps with DRLs, sequential turn indicators, smart door handles, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloys.

• Paint shades offered are Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Dazzling Silver, Red Rage, Napoli Black, Burnt Sienna, and Deep Forest.

• The dual-tone paint shade options (black roof) are not offered with the Deep Forest, Napoli Black, and Burnt Sienna colours.

Negatives:

• Although subjective, the XUV700 tends to look unexcitingly bulbous to an extent.
