Version: K2 + Mahindra accessories.
Cost: 5.5 Lakh on-road (Bangalore) (including all Power windows, Central locking, Music system, reverse parking sensor, Fog lamps).
KMs done: 1100.
Reason for buying: My budget was 5-6 Lakh. There was no other car better than this in my budget. Gives a big car feel in limited budget.
Comparisons: (all comparison based on my version).
Entry level Cars: Alto, Redi-Go & Kwid are less spacious, less powerful & not ideal for long driving.
Mid-level Hatchbacks:
Brio – Costlier than KUV, less cabin space, no boot space.
Tiago – Decent Car but cabin not as spacious as KUV.
Ignis – Costlier than KUV, odd looking, good boot space but cabin space is less.
Swift – Good car but Costlier than KUV by 70-80K.
I would not recommend anyone to buy K6 or K8 version of KUV as they are costly and you have lot of good options in that range.
Positives: SUV type look, Good cabin space (5 Adults + 1 kid), decent ground clearance, Gear shift is so easy & smooth (with joystick near to steering wheel), Visibility is better (seated higher than hatchbacks), Big armrest in front.
Negatives: Mileage.
Neutral: Engine is decent, suspension is better at higher speeds, boot space is sufficient for a family trip.
Mileage:
City: 10 Km/Ltr.
Highway: 15-16 Km/Ltr.
