Positives:

• The electric sunroof and auto-dimming IRVM enhance comfort and convenience, especially for extended drives.

• The front seats offer ample support, spending the entire day driving wasn’t too tiring, and legroom at the rear is very good.

• It has wireless charging and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with six speakers and built-in navigation.

• There’s wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with Bluetooth, USB, and smartwatch connectivity.
• The keyless entry and start-stop button simplify entry and exit, while the rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines makes reversing easier.

• The XUV400 has a spacious 378-litre boot that can accommodate a reasonable amount of luggage.

Negatives:

• The rear bench suffers from a heightened floor (battery placement) and hence an awkward raised-knee seating posture.
• Limited smartphone storage space on the centre console and small, impractical rear-seat pockets hinder usability to an extent.

• The XUV400 has six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear disc brakes, ensuring reasonable protection for passengers.
• There are features like rear parking sensors, ESP, speed-sensing door lock, impact-sensing door unlock, and hill hold control.
• The battery pack is IP67-rated for water and dust resistance, providing additional safety and durability.
• There are additional features like the front tyre position display and tyre pressure monitoring, which add further safety assurance.

Negatives:

• The Mahindra XUV400 has not received a safety rating yet from any NCAP authority.
• The lack of ADAS or lane assist features could be seen as a disadvantage compared to other cars that have them.
