After the day it was purchased it has check engine problem. Engineers of Mahindra servicing both Gangtok and Siliguri attempted but no improvement was resulted.
Since December 2014 to May 2018 (almost 4 years) passed I had worse experience with my bolero slx.Reluctantly, I tried to give for exchange but the response we're so bad from both Mahindra true value. Khokan motors, Siliguri escaped with 3 lakh exchange value where as Sikkim motors, Gangtok didn't even entertained the issue stating I'll be intimated later. Never think Mahindra Bolero is best choice now a days.
Production doesn't matter rather than it's performance and customer s satisfaction. You just tell me to whom shall I sell my troublsome stuff.

the car looks better from its elder brothers and the wide variety of its colour is a good option for buyers to select from... once inside da car and withda glasses up u feel u r totally disconnected from da sound dat da engine produces... da drive in dis car is very comfortable u wont any kind of hicups in slopes even if the ac is on da turnong radius is good for a car of this size... der are very few blind spots to be precise only one the mirror inside da car can be a problem to tall ppl. yhe response from da engine is good... ac of da car is very good and powerful dat da entire 7 seater gets cooled very easily ( glasses needs to be tinted).. sad thing abt da car are da wheel covers which keep coming out... i would prefer atleastda high end should have alloys and da indicatoes control to be little bit more classy... a rear wipper is rarely required for this car nd a rear mirror fixed on da back door....
over all da car is god for its price ... it will surely bring smiles to ur face

Exterior A few tweaks to the exterior have done the bolero some good, the new grill not being body coloured tends to stick out like a soar thumb.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No doubt the seats hve been improved however there is a lack of space by which i mean leg room, knee room. If you are a long legged person like me then forget about even driving it as the bottom portion of the dash on the driver side tends to hit the legs while driving causing a lot of dicomfort for the driver. The features like the power windows, keyless entry, addition of a rear wiper and washer is excellent. the aircon too is quite good. however the digital instrument cluster is a let down as it does not have the upmarket feel to it. The rear seat leg room is ok for people with short legs.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine upgrade on the bolero has done it some good. it is quite responsive and has a decent torque. gearbox too is smooth but u need to have long hands to reach it.
Ride Quality & Handling The suspension is comfortable and tough enough to take on our mumbai roads.
Final Words The bolero is a value for money MUV and the features that it has been loaded with is hard to resist. However if you are a tall long legged person check it out twice before you make a choice.
Areas of improvement Legroom!!!! please thats the only thing that is lacking on the bolero! maybe you can convert the bolero into a 5 seater then surely the legroom could be better.
good style, new engine has excellent power and torque, rear windscreen washer and wiper a boondigital instrument cluster not that attractive, the pedals very awkwardly placedExterior/Styles

Exterior I bet this is the best vehicle with its tough looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) AC not much capacitive, will take lot of time to spread allover the vehicle, Hand rest for middle seats is not comfortable. No USB/bluetooth option. Remote locking and central locking both have with stepney door.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good at low speeds.
Fuel economy - Highway - 16kmpl (<80kmph), 13 kmpl (>80kmph) - With AC
- City - 11.5 (with AC)
Ride Quality & Handling You feel better while off roading because of its suspension and high ground clearance.
Earlier I used to ride on ford fiesta, it goes above 140 with ease, I tried to reach the same in my bolero, but at high speeds you feel like loosing your control on this beast (>110kmpl.)
Final Words My overall 1 month experience is good, i am expecting a better performance in all areas after first service.
they should have given options like ABS, Air Bags, USB etc...
Areas of improvement Remote locking, engine pick up (especially when AC is turned ON), door quality (sound while closing or opening the doors is very annoying, you feel like opening a old truck's door). Should mandate safety features like ABS and Air bags for such a big beast.
Style and Fit for off roadingCheap plastics used, remote locking is not goodExterior/Styles

Dear Friends,
I been using Bolero ZLX since from 2012, and here are my exp with this car so far.
Goods..!
Masculine look, Fuel economy (at least for me).
Issue's I found.!
Engine check engine light issue Which appears randomly followed by sudden throttle loss / pick up down, and abrupt increase in throttle when in neutral.
They say, it's break switch issue, ECU issue, electrical wiring mismatch (manufacturing defect), etc.
In addition to above, Bolero interior is pathetically cheap. AC ventilation plastic will come out as soon as you finish driving 2000 KM.
Whole door assemble / window shakes every time you visit a road hump, and in bad roads interior noise incrases to level where you can't hear music system playing in background. ( this you experience after 10000 KM).
Brake...!! Ohh that's one roler coaster ride! You are driving above 60KM/H and decide to press brakes smoothly to slow. Lethal combination..!!! Whole dashboard / steering assembly, Gear lever unit everything starts shaking. (That's horrific exp If you are driving for first time..!!!)
Clutch assembly is of so poor quality, which does't require any mention here, since there are thousand of posts across web.
Gear Box assemble, which I don't blame considering it is designed as poor quality rural pasenger car.
Now seating...!!! Maruti swift which is 1.5 lac lesser than Bolero comes with fantastic ergonomics, but in bolero God must be crazy to sit on that driving seat for atleast 300 hundred KM. Poor quality cushions/junkyard mountings, what not...!!! Middle row is for kids, literally there is no concept of leg space in Bolero for any seats..!
I have consulted many service centers regrding above Issue's both in Mysuru and Bengaluru, and none of them able to fix this till today. What so ever may be their reason, Mahindra & Mahindra Completely fails in customer service, no matter which service center you visit.
Do I suggest any one to buy Bolero...?
Absolutely NO... with the same price tag or +/- 50K, you have many other options such as Ecosport/Ertiga/Honda BRV.
Bolero is my second car, and I am writing this note after driving 70K KM.
Final Words Better avoind M&M vehicles till they reach levels of TATA at least in Quality of Vehicles and Service.
Areas of improvement For Bolero, everything inside the metal shell needs Improvement. This has killer design, but fails in everything.
Regards,
Shivaprasad A.D.
