If there is anywhere any example , a living example of extreme callousness , opaqueness and shoddy work and dealing then one doesn’t have to go to any “sarkari” office .its right here in the showroom of the company which is apparently promoted by the superstar shahrukh khan ! , Hyundai .
Right from an uncooperative and obviously disinterested staff to opaque and even shady dealings in cars , this company has it all.the extreme distress it has caused us cant be described .it drove us to lodge an FIR against the company .
We booked xcent( silver model) on 13th april ( receipt no 30285 under the name of dr neha chaturvedi ) and our dealer was some mr nitin. And after that the ordeal started.we were told to wait for a month and we will be contacted .naively we went home believing the words of this shady company.while the time we were in the showroom at koncept Hyundai ,green park,hordes of angry customers having a tiff with the sales manager was a regular scene .then we didn’t pay any attention though.around end of april we got a call from mr nitin that our car will be available in a week and to make the payment .then for a few days we spent waiting for nitin to get back to us with the account details .no reply .then we called the Hyundai people and they seemed not to recognise who was speaking .apparentlly nitin had left and no one cared to look into our booking .we were told the car was never dispatched and how did nitin ask us to pay!! Then some mr jahagid was in charge and he said he will let us know .even then we were patiently waiting for the call and thinking that everything is transparent and just and that all is well with the company.then around may 23 this guy called us and told us that the car has been dispatched from Karnataka and the sent us the account details and told us to pay in the next week once he has talked to us .suddenly he too was nowhere available and finally on 1st june we reached the Hyundai showroom and were told that there was some problem with the car and it couldn’t reach delhi!!! Then we realised their game ; that the car was being blackmarketed , else it was on its way from Karnataka ,how could it disappear in thin air !!!they sold the car meant for us to the highest bidder !!! this was confirmed by one mister who called himself tushar.after a long fight with them they again promised that they will get our car in the next ten days .what followed was a series of negotiations they tried with us asking us to buy a higher end version of xcent or a different colour to what we had booked.when we refused to negotiate then again no communication from them till end of june till we ourselves contacted them.by then more than ten weeks had passed by .we went to Honda showroom and booked amaze which we got in a day on 24th june .the quality of service in Honda was so much superior to Hyundai .we will soon be filing a court case in the consumer court and also a criminal case soon against the company Hyundai
