Good Fuel Economy, Less Maintenance Cost, Good Resale value, high safety, highly comfortable, Best value for money, highest performance. I am in love with its performance. Great pick up, great looks, cool interior, good mileage.
This is a miracle car. i wud say best in the segment. you will forget skoda when you will drive it. it competes with laura. driving diesel verna, you cannot judge its a diesel car. hyundai has not left any con in this car. all are pros. average is 15+ local with ac and on highways its 20+ with ac. i have skoda too, but i feel this is better than skoda. its great torque of 24 kgm and 110 bhp makes it the fastest car of the segment and even of upper segments

Exterior
The looks of a car are very subjective and to each his own but I really like the simple and understated design. Looks good with upsized wheels and tyre.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The earlier versions were pretty basic on features but were all what we needed. Very very very chilling Air Con. Cools the cabin in minutes and is really powerful.
Space is adequate for 4 adults. Five is a squeeze but comfortable for short journeys. Boot space is more than enough for the weekend getaway luggage.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Its a rocket !!!! I love this engine inspite of the evident turbo lag which is really easy to get used to specially in city driving. Will not bother you ever.
For an engine of 110Bhp the fuel economy is quite good. City driving will give you between 12 and 14 kmpl while highway cruising give 16 to 18 kmpl.
Gearbox is a bit of a letdown. Its a bit rough and needs a bit of work to shift from 3rd to 2nd gear but easy to get used to.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride is soft. A bit too soft. Gets bouncy on bad roads but is comfortable on smooth tarmac. Handling is the biggest letdown. The steering is very light for highway use and does not give confidence or does justice to the engine.
Final Words
Even after some small cons here and there ( which car does not have them ? ) it is a very value for money and fun to own vehicle. Will not disappoint you specially with loads of features on newer and higher variants.
Areas of improvement
Handling,
Airbags should be given as options atleast,
ABS should be standard on all variants.
Powerful Engine, Interior Space, Comfortable Seats, Hyundai's cost effective service and spares.Gearbox, Vague and light steering feel specially on highway, soft suspension, no airbagsExterior/Styles

Exterior Good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good engine, terrific pick-up, pleasure to drive on highway, overtaking is easy; you can easily be at 140-150 without noticing it. But not a great drive in the city because you have to be in first / second gear perpetually in traffic.
Not great fuel economy (8.5 in Mumbai city and about 12-13 on highway) versus tall claims of over 20 km by Hyundai. But for the tall claims, the fuel economy is ok compared to the 'punch' the cat delivers on pick-up.
Lousy first gear - after a long drive (say 100 kms), the first gear jams badly. Could even be dangerous. Lots of diesel and petrol Vernas have the same problem. Dealers have no answer. Company doesn't respond to emails.
Ride Quality & Handling Good.
Final Word Great car for the highway, you can easily beat the Honda Cities, the Swifts and the Fords of the world and give the Skodas a run for their money. Terrific pick-up. Very good safety features (even without air-bags). I would buy it but not if I want fuel economy or great support from the manufacturer (they don't respond or respond very late and in a poor way, asking you to contact the dealer when you have already exhausted that route).
Areas of improvement Gear-box, especially the stalling of the first gear after driving long distances (> 100 km). Really lousy. So is the response or support from the manufacturer. This leaves a very poor taste in the mouth when I am buying a car for almost Rs 10 lacs from a MNC car maker. This would a strong reason for me not to buy Hyundai again.
pick-up is great, safety is excellent, decent interiorsfirst gear stalls badly after long drive; lousy fuel economy vs promise

Exterior Have gotten used to the looks and now she looks good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very adequate for 5 adults in comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is the best aspect of this car. I have had the car for four years now and the performacecn has been up to the mark till date. People have been talking about the turbo lag but for me I personally don't feel it is that bad at all. Moreover it is goodfor me as you have better control of the car at slow speeds / prior to 1800 RPM but once it is past 1800 RPM there is no car in this segment that can beat a verna. I have had a flat out run with a Laura and Octavia but these cars disapeared in the rearview mirrer faster than a blink of an eye. Fuel average is good as well and I have been getting 14+ in city with AC and in Delhi summers. The best was my trip to Shimla where I topped up in Delhi and refilled her on arrival Shimla and calculated the milage to 19.6 Kmpl. With this kind of performance and milage who wants anything else. Maintenance wise I have not spent a single money over the normal service cost which now comes close to Rs.8000 per 10,000 Km. Overall I would say that I am very satisfied and happy with this car and am waiting for the new Verna for my next car.
Ride Quality & Handling Not a strong point of a Verna but managable. The car is a bit bouncy at low speeds but takes the undulations of the road well at high speeds. There is no feedback from the steering and at high speeds it is scary to say the least. Although I have driven the car at 185Km/hr, not that I generally do it but just to get the feel of the car. I must say I was scared to be in Verna at that speed. She is capable to do those kinds of speeds but does not inspire confidence to take her to those speeds.
Final Words I personally like performance from my car and that's what made me choose Verna. I would recomend it to all who like a performance car.
Areas of improvement Ride and handling. Steeing feel. Suspension. Some more equipment as standard.
Milage - 14Kmpl constantly in city (Varies between 14 to 16 with AC in city). Best 19.6 on Highway.Unsettling at high speeds and steering has no feedback and feels very light at speeds.

Exterior Good styling and apealing , makes many eyes to turn around compared to VW.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable for 4 persons and little crumpy for 5.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have done about 4000 kilometers, Very good power and will ease out your doubt for over taking other vehicles when required. I got about 15 in Bagalore city drive and about 18-19 in high way drive with partly using AC. The resaponse in 3rd gear is average which could be better.
Ride Quality & Handling The vehicle does fine on highway but a problem at high speed handling at corners. The vehicle bottom hits humps unless you slow down / dead stop at bumps. Very soft suspension and closed cabin will almost isolate outside noise. Now have recently observed little trouble while shifting gears suspect issue with gear shift bushes, have to get it checked out.
Final Words Very good styling, good power, interiors, pricing is bit higher.
Areas of improvement Mounting points of the lamps assemblies should be more sturdier, resolve issue of front & back weight ratio which is also evident in previous verna.
Great look, styling & power, good interirorsHandling discomfort at higher speeds while cornering, delicate front bumper fog light mounting.Exterior/Styles

Exterior Awesome, Best looking car in the segment, Class leading.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Stacked with bells & whistles, Again class leading.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth drive. Fuel economy way lower - Am getting 11.5km/l in 1.6 CRDI Diesel with AC on.Way lower than claimed and also lower than the mileage achieved in Vento or SX4.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth ride though a bit bouncy at times due to the soft suspension, Some amount of body roll in case of handling especially during tight corners.
Final Words Good buy but beware of Hyundai Motor Plaza(HMP), Lower Parel, Mumbai. They are absolutely unprofessional and suck on the customer service front. I was promised delivery on 30th Sep but finally delivery happened on 7th Oct. And the manager Santosh Kumar is the epitome of unprofessionalism and believes in making customers beg. Inspite of me requesting him for delivery on the committed date, he refused and even had the gall to tell me, "Escalate it to whomever you want. I dont care." I was told that this is a company owned outlet. God help customers if this is the attitude and concept of service in a company owned outlet.
Areas of improvement Customer service sucks. If they dont improve on it, what's the point of having a great product. Hope other dealers besides Hyundai Motor Plaza are better.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) One thing missed by Hyundai is the inner door panels light. It is diffciult to see the window buttons and the side view mirror burrons in the dark.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is as smooth as ever and noiseless.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.
Final Words Easily the best in this segment. I tried the Vento, Rapid, City and Sunny. Vento and Rapid are 4 seaters. The person sitting in the middle behind will be very uncomfortable unless he is a child. Vento and Rapid dont even have a side mirror that folds fully. VW and Skoda should stick to making only high end cars that people pay for without bothering for value for money. Skoda was trying to impress me with their Laura petrol I took a test drive of it too but I wanted a car around 9 lacs so chose not to go for it. During the test drive he told me the Laura petrol has same engine as the Audi A4. Audi sells for 28 lacs and Laura for 14 lacs. Engine is same. It clearly means Audi charges more for name. Some features are more in the Audi no doubt. But I figured out at least 5-8 lacs is more only for its name.
Areas of improvement NA.

Exterior IS ALL GOOD
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) all very fantastic
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox cant say just driven 300 kms
Ride Quality & Handling is all ok
Final Words problem was with dealer , the veichel is available , just a scarcity created by dealers to earn premium , we pay premimum 50000, for a automatic car , the issue is dealers are more greedy , they give a pacakage , we have to buy insurance and pay the rto tax to dealers , the insurance is expensive , rto is irrresponsible , do not respond , dealers demand advance payments for the car and deliver the car after 30 days and that to charge premium , wery unhappy with this vapi dealer (Divine Motors ) staff is very good , but policy is very bad , hyundai needs to take action against such dealers. Hope company does some thing , the car is good value for money and a realy good pacakage.
