Hyundai Venue [2019-2022] User Reviews

Buying experience was a mixed affair with the loooo...ng waiting period but very good support from the sales executive . Just a few notes after driving the Venue 1.0 turbo Manual for a few thousand kilometers both in city as well as highways. At the onset I was definitely aware of the cons of owning a Hyundai so some of them didn't come as a surprise. I decided , for a change , to focus on the pros while the car was still new :) . I am enjoying the way the car preforms and the raised platform definitely helps in negotiating the bad roads that suddenly appear on a newly tarred road section. The handling is spot on I would say. Even out in the highways over 90+ speeds the steering doesn't lack feel. Note, this is NOT an SUV by any means but manages to instill a sense of driving one if you are not too keen on the real world specs (imagination , life is your creation.... ). Gear shifts are not smooth as in a Maruti but still fine. Am not an audiophile so cannot comment on the technical aspects of listening to music but I love the audio system in teh Venue. The ability to use Android Auto and Car Play is great as I am discovering. There are still some quirky features that I will need to spend some time to get around but so far so good. In gear acceleration is good and the turbo lag is not evidenced everytime. Guess, I am still learning on the best way to drive a turbo petrol! Now for the ultimate question - detha kitna hain??! Well ... up until around 2400 kms, I was able to see the mileage reading an average of 17kmpl . On highway runs , without flooring the accelerator I was able to reach 21.2kmpl steady for a few kms until the next bumper to bumper section arrived.In city it used to hover around 13-15 kmpl . Before 2400kms . After that it has been a drastic downshift and now it is around 10-11kmpl (only city runs till now after the 2400 mark) . Yet to do a long run and will update after that. So all in all enjoyable experience , till now.
