I have been driving the Tucson for over a year now.. Its good for the price here in the the Gulf for the petrol version and with the automatic.

This is way too expensive in the Indian Market.. The same sells for half the price in the Gulf region for an automatic version with petrol.

Its a value for money elesewhere in the world but their price point for India is absolutely ridiculous.

I'd rather ship my used Tucson and use it India .. It would still be cheaper

Hyundai is fleecing its customers in India...

The 2.0 liter CRDi engine of Tucson is for those who want the best of everything. The performance, strength and frugality of a diesel motor together with quietness & smoothness of petrol is a reality , thanks to the uniformly maintained high pressure in common rail of the 2.0L CRDi engine. The power and torque are amazing at 112 Ps & 25 kgm at as low as 2000 rpm.this is from my side.PerformanceLess spacious

      A truly lovely vehicle.

      Hopelessly over-priced.

Everything about this vehicle appeals to a young SUV user. Ideal size. Great performance. Lovely engine. Great Tyres and all else.

But why should an Indian customer pay THREE TIMES what an International customer pays, to own this vehicle?

This SUV is pretty much the equivalent of the Mahindra Bolero, for any International customer - priced around Rs 6 -6.5 Lacs MAX anywhere else in the world!

Here it becomes a LUXURY SUV priced at Rs 18 Lacs on the road, give or take !!

I only ask one question. Is it some pre-conceived notion in India that only Rich Plutocratic people should drive SUVs? Half the time such lovely machines which are "seat-of-the-pants" driver's cars are driven by chauffeurs, taking some executive sitting in the back seat reading his Eco Times or fiddling with a Blackberry travelling to and fro his shyscraper office - Im pretty sure that the self same executive doesn't know even one quarter of what such vehicles are meants for, can do and is only buying such a vehicle as a status symbol!

      Ridiculous.

Hyundai Motors should start manufacturing this vehicle in India itself to bring the prices down a bit. Then true enthusiasts will be able to buy it and enjoy it for what it is.

Tough. Powerful. Excellent SUV for those who will use its potential.VERY POOR VALUE PROPOSITION
