I'm here to warn you guys if you are here to research before buying any of Hyundai product, plz research about the dealers too.I have put myself into wrong hands. Its Suhrit Hyundai, new delhi. They are buch of real bstards. They have made my life miserable. They were supposed to deliver me Santro GLS last week, but its still undelivered inspite of getting 90% of the payments. And they are not even giving a final date for the same. They dont even bother to pick up my call. And by chance they do say, everytime they say to give them 2-3 more days. Finally today I have lodged a complaint today with Hyundai about  all this. They have promised me to resolve this in 4 working days.Lets hope things get resolved soon.I dont know how will be their service post-sell if they are this bat before the sell.Plz keep warning your friends and relatives of such dealers, Suhrit Hyundai,Delhi in particular.

ITS BEEN ABOUT 5 YEARS SINCE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A SANTRO. BELIEVE ME, ITS ABSOLUTELY A GREAT CAR- IN TERMS OF STYLING, COMFORT, FUEL ECONOMY AS WELL AS ENGINE PERFORMANCE. I WOULD DEFINATELY SUGGEST TO BUY THIS CAR. ONLY ONE NEGATIVE POINT IS THAT, IT HAS A BUMPY RIDE AT THE BACK, UT LOOKING TO THE OTHER POSITIVE ASPECTS, ITS REALLY A GOOD CAR. I HAVE TRAVELLED ON THE HIGHWAYS, BOTH AT HIGH AS WELL AS MODERATE SPEEDS, THIS CAR WOULD DEFINATELY GIVE YOU A SENCE OF CONFIDENCE IN DRIVING, THANKS TO ITS COMMANDING SEATING POSITION AS WELL AS POWER STEERING. THE A.C. IS ALSO FAIRLY POWERFUL(***TIPS-ON THE HIGHWAY USE IT ON THE 1ST SPEED WITH THE COMPRESSOR "ON", YOU WILL SAVE SOME FUEL TOO). MOREOVER I HAVE RECEIVED AN EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT FORM THE COMPANY. DRIVE THIS CAR AND U WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH IT!!! EVEN IF WE COMPARE IT TO THE OTHER CARS OF THE SAME SEGMENT, THIS WOULD SCORE MORE(ESPECIALLY WITH A SEATING CAPACITY OF 5 PEOPLE). IN CITY CONDITIONS, SAY, AHMEDABAD,MUMBAI, BANGLORE, DELHI, THIS IS A FUN TO DRIVE CAR WITH LEAST EFFORTS AND A POWERFUL ENGINE, HAVING A LOW END TORGUE. JUST TO INFORM YOU FOLKS-THE SANTRO WHICH HAS A ERLX ENGINE IS MUCH MORE POWERFUL AS WELL AS MORE FUEL EFFICIENT AS COMPARED TO THE OLD SANTRO VERSIONS AND THE MARUTI WAGON R MODELS. IT GIVES A MILAGE OF ABOUT 16 TO 17 IN CITY WITHOUT A.C. ON. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS CAR!good value for money and internal space and stylingbumpy ride at the back

Bought the Hyundai Santro Xing GLS LPG in December 2008  The only reason to bought this Santro ECO was the LPG kit, by thinking that to reduce my fuel expenses. But the out come result leads me absolute disappointment. It returns between 6 and 8 kms/lt in the city and 10 kms/lt on the highway. These figures are very very far from the given Hyundai Santro Xing GLS LPG prospectus. Before I bought this, I compared with WagonR Duo, by personally and by taking views from users and experts from CARWALE.COM. Even though I bought this because of brand name and faith on service of HUNDAI. But I duped and after I bought this car only I could realised that how much mistake I made. I know HUNDAI is a successful car maker, but not LPG car. Comparatively VAGON R Duo is giving better mileage in the city as well as on the highway!

And the surprising thing is, here in Bangalore, no service center, either TRIDENT or ADVAITH, wasn't ready to take this as a complaint. Even they didn't have the KIT to check the mileage with LPG. They are simply put their hands up and telling that they couldn't do any thing with LPG mileage and there is no answer, how to improve LPG fuel economy. These service centers are thinking that the service means, water wash and changing engine oils. They don’t bother about the other things, particularly when we went for free service. The customer care cell is also not bothered about the same. There is no response from them. WHAT TO DO?

Looking and Style - GoodVery Very Poooor Milage with LPG

I own a Santro GLS(CNG)..A Hyundai fitted CNG version of the vehicle & the performance of the vehicle on CNG is very good..It is a value for money. It has a better ride position than the i10.i10 has got lesser head room as compared to santro.A must buy for people living in Delhi(NCR) as the running cost as well as the compactness of the vehicle gives you an edge over the others.Beware of the CNG kits being fitted by the hyundai dealers.Always ensure that your vehicle is fitted with CNG kits from the manufacturer i.e. by HYUNDAI.Real Good fuel economy, handling is very good, pick up is awesome.crude interiors, rear seat space is less

I've purchased this car recently, but it has changed a lot in terms of performance now, cause my elder brother had santro before but that was a not so powerful, not so light to handle, not so relaxing. i recently test drived "MARUTI SWIFT" i was thinking about an hour why the hell people are promoting swift when its a pure bullshit, i had to force it to accelerate, and Steering was not as light as that of my santro eRLX XL. Swift Dash board makes me remember a OLD MATADOR kinda vintage, seating is so irritating. I bet test drive santro and swift in a day, you won't be buying anything other than SANTRO. Santro seems to have done remarkable changes to power and performance, certainly a MUST HAVE CAR for every one seeking a option in this segment. I get 13KMPL with A.C and around 15-15.5 without A.C. in city. Also power steering is very responsive, makes me use it without efforts. Acceleration is superb, and braking is also good. Only thing i miss is Seat belt Indicator and a plugable adapter would have been loved by all, those cigarette lighters are just hopeless when you need to connect laptop or charger for your smartphones. See ya, mohitGood Acceleration, Great milage, Very Precisely Fine TunedSeat belt Indicator missing, a plugable adapter would have been loved by all

Superb car in city like delhi, i was confused before buying this car and thinking about wagon R and alto, but at last i bought santro, whihc i think is the best possible car for me and my family. Santro gives me 15 KMPL in city with AC and 17+on highways. and it pickup is superb, just place the foot on accelerator and see how quick it is. i am happy to have santro with me because santro wale samajhdar hote hain.fuel economy 15 aprox in city with AC and 17 at higways, very good style, look and interiors.space between rear seat and front seat is less specially for tall people

If you are not hitchy about the comfort of your right ankle while driving this is a great car for you. The accelerator pedal has been positioned way away from the side wall and therefore the right foot remains in a pretty awkward position while driving. Santro users (only long distance users) if you are wondering about the pain in your right ankle or forefoot, well you just read the cause.

Other things about this car are beyond comparisons. I tested wagon-R, Alto before settling for it.I suggest that there is no better car in this price segment than a Santro any variant. I recently bought a SantroXL. Believe me it is just a wonder. The most amazing thing about this car is that its power doesnt die down with AC on. Also the efficiency of the AC is immaculate(guys I have been driving in the scorching heat of Delhi in temperatures 43-45 degrees and it cools so fast). The other thing why i chose santro is that it has a commanding driving position. AS compared to other cars in this segment, it gives you so much confidence in the driving seat that you feel dictating terms on the road. But dont just get carried away. Feel commanding but play safe.

The interiors are very good. Dashboard features are good. The company could have added a dashboard clock and rear parcel tray in the XL version at least. There is so much to boat in XO anyway.

Side rear view mirrors are less user friendly. However day and night feature on the centre rear view mirror is a great comfort at nights.

Its only a month by the way so I cannot comment much on fuel efficiency or service kind issues. But one thing is bothering me a little--- I am getting 10-11 kmpl with AC on( ran 500 kms till date), I wonder whether this will improve with time and services or is going to stay that way. If it stays that way fuel efficiency is going to be a let down for me with this vehicle though I read people are getting great mileages. Here I would like to add that I am no novice. I have more than 150000 kms of driving experience so its not my way of driving that is giving me a bad mileage. Hope things improve with running in.

But few negative ifs-buts will not detract me from saying that it is worth buying a car. You will never repent your decision even if you have driven 500 kms.

Will keep posting more as I go through using it more.

Wider backseat in its class, great driving position, great maneuvrebilityBad Accelerator position

well..being physically challenged i was left with very few options in the market .. i preferred santro AT for it's styling , fuel efficient (being automatic transmissioned ; very respectable mileage figure i received with this car) 16.4 on highway , 11.2 in the city. but it very much depends on how you drive the vehicle ,& it doesn't like to be driven hard. it's an efforless, tension free car. till now i've done 9000 km & no issue so far with braking, ride quality, mileage, service network etc. only flip side is the acceleration. one thing is for sure... it's not a "highway car". rest everything is just so perfact.it's an effortless, tension free car. feel of thethe only glitch is the pickup ...

Bought the Santro ECO a month back after selling my Opel Corsa (a decision I now regret) since I didn’t not want to shell out all that money for petrol in this time of recession. The only reason I bought the Santro ECO, even though the model looks outdated was coz of the LPG kit, which turns out to be an absolute disappointment in the end. It returns 8kms/lts in the city and 10 on the highway, pathetic compared to my friend’s WagonR Duo which gives him 14km/ltr on the highway!! This car, then, is only to prove that Hyudai can make a LPG car, and not a good one at that! The customer care cell is not bothered about the many mails that I’ve sent them, they apparently think that 8km/ltr is much more than I should get for the Santro ECO!

Plain old bad luck, or that am a complete idiot to belive the sales guys at the Hyundai showroom and expect 12km/ltr!!

Bottomline, get a cheap Inidca V2 diesel or the WagonR Duo which is proven to return better gas mileage if you are strapped for cash and still need to drive a lot everyday.

Still waiting for the call from Hyundai to set things right. Wonder if I can sue them for breach of trust. Let's see if things turn for the better after the first service. Will keep you posted!

Good looks, proven motor, 36 ltr petrol tank. Decent performance.Extremly poor LPG mileage.. average of 8km/ltr of LPG. Horrible customer complaint cell.
