i20 - truly amazing car

 

Exterior Good curvy and sleek exteriors .Very trendy look .The berry red color really suits the car and hyndai wins hands down when it comes to finish. The fog lamps and headlamp looks superb and the back treatment is done perfectly, unnlike the Ritz and Swift of Maruti where it looks bumped from the back. The trendy indicator on the OVRM adds a surreal feeling to the car.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In terms of features and comfort ,nobody comes near to this loaded beauty.It is true value for money if you go for Asta with bluetooth. I would suggest to go for Trident as they are known for giving lots of freebies in terms of accessories .You will just love this car for features and comfort. Once you get inside, you will never feel like coming out for sure :).

Space wise  this is the best in its class and also in comparision to cars like Dzire (which is really cramped as is swift) ,Punto ,Polo.Boot space is also awesome given that it is a sporty premium hatchpack.

Comfort is the name of i20. Nobody can match the driving comfort in city for i20. Although I can say Punto is a drivers car in city, i20 is surely a drivers delight :) 

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance wise, it is slighly on the down side compared to its peers Punto and Swift. It gives a stiff competition in terms of city manevouribility and driving ease in city traffic. Fuel economy is average.

 

Final Words I always had a hearty feeling for i20 from the beginning since I drove  one. However given the choice ,I felt good for Dzire given the sedan element, maruti network and mileage. However when I did the maths for the cars and compared, the car i20 outscored everybody in the race. It scored a perfect 90 and it won hands down in all department. Now coming to the looks and performance, it is the best in the segment .Although price wise it is on the higher side and it pinches when you make the payment for the car, it is sure to be a value for money.

 

Areas of improvement  

Power Hyndai should  provide atleast 1.4 litres engine for a 7.5 car and may be finetuning the cost factor Automatic transmission ,if I am not over wishing here.

 

Mileage I wish the Kappa engine could match up with K-Series of Maruti in terms of mileage.

 

Service/Parts It has to go a long way for matching the network chain and supply chain of Maruti to come with par with Maruti.
