I bought the car just before diwali and i have had experience of driving M800 before this.. The dealer gave me around 40k discount for the earlier version (kappa without vtvt) but then i did not want to buy an outdated car and so got the new one without any discount. Given the past riding experience, this one was complete luxury. I loved the interiors and the leg room for rear seats. The handling was amazing and easy for a not-so-experienced driver like me. Highway riding was enjoyable without strain. Clocked max speeds of 100+ kmph on highways without any issues whatsoever at all.
As for the cons, very hard to find. But then i would have loved climate control/blue tooth connectivity as a standard feature (a la beat/figo) . Shelling out 30k extra for blue tooth and driver side airbags didnt make much of a sense for me.. Works out cheaper for me to buy a bluetooth head phones.. Also, i felt that the included speakers for the i10 sportz was average.. Would have loved a better sound quality.
The minor feature improvements made against earlier versions do provide a nice feeling of driving a high end car rather than a budget small car.
Havent really tested out the city mileage.. but on highways it gave me standard 18kmph with intermittent A/c. Note here that my speeds ranged from 80 - 100 kmph for the entire stretch.
Definitely the small car for a familiy.
interiors, pickup, fuel economy, handlingexpect climate control, stereo not up to my liking

I was planning for my first car since long and finally the day arrived and i baught I0 CNG. i wanted to buy diesel car because i wanted to run smoothely and dint want to be like my frinds who says "yar car se kya karenge bike se chalte hai" because of petrol cost.
I baught it from noida in 5.60 lacs in Oct12 and i drove 10k as of now with one service completed and would be completing the second service this week.
Everyone has written lot abot interior exterior and i think all these things can be seen in first attempt in showroom however for exterior we can find many I10 around us hence i would only write about the experince on CNG.
i use to fill gas with upto 9 KG max and an average 8 kg only howver fro the day one i use to get min of 220 KM with 100% AC (because i think open window will attract dust and will dirt my car :)).
I am new to driving hence i was driving it to up to 80 KMPH in the begining and later i drove it to max 130-135 on yamuna expway. i got 185 KM in less than 8 KG. howver till now i get 200 + KM in 8 KG with 80-90 KMPH speed.
I have checked and found that even in city it gives min of 22km/ KG. I remeber when i was learning and not exceeding speed more than 60 before first service as instruted/mentioned in manual i used to get 30 KM/KG.
Now come to perfromance, yes it may be but i dont speed much and i dont care because i love driving car rather only stick with pickup.
till now i am loving it and dint face any issue not even puncture hence enjoying it. i drive mostly on highway and fair usage is 1k in month.
i used it in rough roads as well as on highways and dint find any difrence. i am loving it sorry for not writing petrol miliege because i have only fille my tank 4-5 times in last 10 K run so you can say all running is only on CNG.
i am running on ptrol fo 10 km every after 400 km of CNG run and when i go to may native (Kannuj,UP) where i dint find CNG else i use to run in Delhi,NCR hence CNG is avaialble everywhere.
Yes i found sometime i have to wait for CNG but no issue thats ok and i can wait for 15-20 min max to fill the CNG.
My runnning cost on CNG is upto 2 RS if i fill it from NOida else even its much lesser in Delhi(remeber there is diffrence of 7 rs in noida and delhi price and more than 10 in rest of the UP like shikohabad and Agra, kanpur).
I have not used bike since the day i baught my I10 and its in abandoned situation. I paid 60 K extra for CNG and i would recover the cost in 20 K KM approx.
I am not happy with music ssytem provided in sportz hence planning to modify the system but due to CNG kit cant fit woofer or speaker in back.
I hardly carry luggaeso i dont miss space in dicky but if you carry luggae frequently you may miss it because there would not be even space where you can put small bag forget the suitcase.
I am not good writer or reviwer hence you can find language issue but i wrote it to share my views with you all.
You can reach me at amitkatiyar19@gmail.com for any query.

Pre Sales Experience I got the delivery of my new i10 Sports on 09th Feb '11 from Mukhesh Hyundai VIP Rd, Kolkata and let me tell you I'm not at all satisfied with their behaviour with a new customer. I really would choose some other dealer unless someone influnced me that they are the biggest in kolkata. I would not suggest any reader to book any hyundai model from this dealer and if we do that, it would definitely cut the extra fat from them.
Exterior Escallation apart, i'm happy to get this new masterpiece from Hyundai. Its really a iconic car in the segment of modern hatchback. I came to know there are total 15 different model that are running in the name of i10. Might be hyundai is not finding a new name for this newly designed car. I booked the i10 Sports and not selecting Sportz option only because it has steering mounted audio control and one airbag which cost me around 60K more. Apart from this everything is same in both the cars. Hyundai has equiped the sportz model preety well apart from the fog lamps which I feel should be coming with sportz model. Also they have put an blinker in the orvm and omitted the side blinker altogether. Apart from these two, the car looks so nice and decent. The color I chose was the blushing red. The finish seemed OK.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The factory fitted music system is quite ok and the sound quality is good if you compare with other factory fitted music system in this segment of cars. As SRK said, the blue back light is really attractive. Apart from this the legspace, which is a major constraints for most of the hatchback, i10 passed successfully here. I'm 6' tall and i haven't face any legspace problem in any of the seats. I personally like the super quick cooling of the AC, which I liked. The soprty seats and matching dashboard is also fantastic. I personally think the next gen i10 models have the best interiors than any of the previous models. The two tone interiors look nice, but the plastics feel very hard.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Hyundai claims this Kappa 2 engines are the most refined and give 20.36 kmpl but you know these are in testing condition of ARAI. Still I like the engine and this 1198cc touched 0-100 is 8-9 seconds. I get a rough 14+ milage from it with full ac on all the time. Though some one suggest me don't calculate milage before the first free service. I'm not good in calculating milage, so lilbit variation might happen.
Ride Quality & Handling Very comfortable both in high speed and low, and handling is just like other power steering handlings. Nothing so special in it.
Final Words Let me tell you, take a test drive of this new champ, I'm sure you will love it.😊
Areas of improvement Better and stylish steering wheel, better horns, tyre diameter to be increased(13" is backdated), sepate pannel for digital clock, back seat light, remote control of the music system...all minor things though. 😉
New style, Decent legspace, Fine roadgrip, Excellent coolingOverall length, NO diesel option, Missing foglamps in Sportz model

Exterior Of latey Hyundai has gone for Fluidic design for all of their cars. This holds good even for i10, from exterior you will surely not miss an i10 on road it surely will catch an eye and looks a class apart. Most beautiful are the headligts which curve outside and gives the car better look than before. also the ORVMs with the turn inicators look classy. The rear design of i10 is nothing will stand out but isn't bad either. Tail lamp cluster, the stop light at the rear spoiler and the Hatch door handle are nicely thought and crafted. The car surely is an eye candy.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Step inside the car and you will feel why i10 is talked so much for the interiors. Everything is smoothly crafted and put in place. The finishing is excellent. The cetral console holds the intergrated Music system with cool display and clock, the Air con controls carried from Santro but, doesn't look odd. The gear shift indicator really comes handy along with the numerous warning lights clustered in the driving console. Odometer has gone digital which looks good. There is a huge speedometer with a rev meter to enhance driving. Power window but are neatly put on the driver's door along with the ORVM knob, believe me this really is a handy package which has saved me from getting drenched for adjusting the ORVMs when it's rainly heavily. There are many cute small places to hold your water bottles, mobiles, book, newspaper. The glove box is reasonably big not great. Dashborad is really curvy which restarins you from keeping anything over there. Indica like dashboard would really have been handy.
Back seat is spacious enough to hold three adults, so the car is spacious enough. Even while I ma driving (I am 6 foot) none of the rear passengers have complained about the leg room.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is definitely better than its predecessor. It is smooth and gives a decent amount of power output. At lower gears it lacks power but, nothing to be worried about. in traffic you need frequent shifting of gears, But with the i10 gear transmission you will never feel the problem. The best part of driving is the i10's Gear shift, it's smooth and accurate.Once in the 3rd gear you will be floating and you won't feel any engine vibration or noice even in the 5th gear till 80 Km\hr because that's is the max I have been pushed my car to :). Engine is so quite people walking on the road won't makeout unless you honk the horn.
. After a prolonged period of 10 months from the date of purchase I was able to calculate the Milage, I get 17.3 Kms/Ltr. For now I am satisfied with the fuel economy, as I drive in low gears. Engine doesn't guzzle away lot of fuel. I drive normally in the conjested roads and roads filled of pot-holes where shifting to 4th gear or above is a dream.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good in case of small pot holes and speed breakers. But in the case of huge pot holes car does feels bouncy and unsettle. Culprit are the small narrow tyres.
Final Words I had finalised on this car after some 6-8 months of planning and check out all the other cars in this segment. I left behind Santro, Eon, Wagon R, Alto, Ritz, Swift, Indica, Indica Vista, Beat, Spark, Brio and went for this and I have never Regretted my decision. Hyundai service is really nice with big bunch of friendly, helping people. As you look for a complete package this car still is the best in it's class.
Areas of improvement While driving in the tight spots you really cannot guess the front bumper, this is case in the most of the Small cars. But, I didnt get any other place there might be a requirement needed. And the dashboard where you can't keep anything.

When I had planned to go for a new hatchback, I had shortlisted 3 cars i.e. i10, figo and punto. However i choose i10 for the latest technology , the compact size as compare to others and the service centres.
Hyundai engines are always known to be smoother, and I experienced it when i drove one of my friends new Wagon R(after driving my i10). To be frank i felt I was driving a Deisel car and the gear shifting took some serious effort (i10 needs only a finger to change).
I have read some comments about people criticizing the mileage of the car, I really feel pity for them. I feel the fuel economy depends on the drivers knowledge and experience and not on the car engine. I got a mileage of 17 with AC on highway which I feel is good enough.
The only drawback in this car is the tyre size which is 155 which can somtimes really make you the absence of a 165 or 175.
But anyways the i10 scores well in rest of the scenarios and Ultimately I am a very happy and proud owner of Hyundai i10 :)
Cheers,
Saju...

Final Words I booked my next gen i10 Sportz, 1.2 Kappa2 (Carbon Grey) in a weeks time on 9thpr 2011 at Advaith Hyundai, under the Sales executive Mr. Sunil Annaiah. I got the delivery on 6th May 2011. I have done about 1300 kms so far. I am using for about 15 kms a day in Bangalore Roads. I had experienced a mileage of about 12.5 – 14 kms (With AC) in highly congested Roads between Peenya & M G road. Once I decided to take for a long drives for my car registration in Hubli. I filled the tank (full tank – 35.02litres, Trip – 180kms) at HPCL, Nelamangala. I travelled for about 380 kms out on highways (without AC) towards Hubli. In Hubli, I filled the tank again at M.G.Indi IOCL Pump (full tank – 13 litres, Trip – 543kms) and got a fabulous mileage of 27.5 KMPL. Last week I took another longer drive of about 400 - 450 kms covering Hubli - Tumkur - bangalore and got a mileage of 25.86 kms (without AC). I could experience the highest mileage when I was driving between 65kmph to 80kmph (not exceeding 2000 RPM) constantly. Still I need to get my first servicing done. Now I need to test for the longer drives with AC which I shall put forward in the near future. Hope fully I feel comfort and getting used to my all new i10.
Areas of improvement None.

I was planning to change my old Maruti 800 AC car to new car from almost an year. With a few limitations (limited budget, less parking space, congested streets & heavy traffic on Delhi roads), i had made up my mind for another small car with more feature, comfort & better performance. Moreover, I commute to office by my office cab. Diesel car was never in my options as well. I have also read in one of article that if your monthly drive is less than 1500 kms, then one should not go for Diesel car.
So, finally I shortlisted Maruti WagonR 1.0 Vxi, Maruti Swift Vxi & Hyundai i10 Sportz.
I took TD for Maruti WagonR & Swift Vxi at D.D. Motors, Mayapuri. New WagonR failed to convince me, my wife & father. Moreover, it's shape was also not very attractive to us. Gear box was too hard (as compare to Swift), space between front seat was also not much (as compare to my old Maruti 800). However, engine was more refined than older one (have driven my friend's old WagonR 1.1L) but not as responsive as Swift or i10 (reason might be it had 1L as compare to 1.2L). A/C was also not very effective. Overall, we didn't like it that much to have it our next new car.
Swift had some pros Space, performance, Very good AC & some cons outdated avg looks, very common on roads, No Music System, long waiting of 3 months.
Then we took new Hyundai i10 TD, the features, styling & performance of this car impressed us on the very first meet.
We got my new Hyundai i10 Sportz on 6th Jan 2011, done 1st service & drove almost 2000 kms (Apr 22nd 11).
Exterior The car has a fresh look (like aerodynamic design, new radiator grill, new head lamps, sporty front bumpers & centre antenna). It has some premium car features which is first time in small car like Body coloured waistline moudling, Turn indicators on Outside body coloured mirrors, electrically adjustable & heated outside mirror (for those rainy season). Rear defrogger with Wiper, High mounted bumper & double lamp tail light for better safety (during rainy & night time), rear spoiler (for sporty looks & high mounted stop lamp).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Central console mounted gear lever is a big plus during long drives. New dual tone beige & brown interiors have removed the complaints of sun light reflection. Performance of Integrated music system is also quite good & it's blue light is really cool during night. Gear Shift Indicators is also a new & first time feature in small car & very useful to get better fuel economy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is as smooth as silk, I have already touched 125 km/hr couple of times on Delhi Gurgaon express highway but never felt short of power during overtaking with AC on. Cabin is also very silent. One need only a finger push to change gears. Braking is also quite good & might got improved with wider tyres which I'm planning to switch in near future. Currently, I'm getting 12-13 kmpl with (90%) AC on. Service centre guy told me that mileage will further improve after 2nd service which is due in first week of Jul '11.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is quite good & comfortable. Handling quite good. May be upgrading to Motor assited power steering from Old Cable assisted one.
Final Words I'm very happy & fully satisfied with performance of my car & proud to own it.
Areas of improvement Bigger & Wider Tyres + Alloy wheels + Front Fog lamps should come as standard fitments in Sportz variant.

Took delivery of the vehicle on 02/11/02011 had already run 40km on the odometer by the dealer. On 03/11/2011 drove the car for for about 25kms and the vehicle just stalled, there was no acceleration, the car just stopped moving, waited for 30 mins then drove for another 15kms and the same problem occurred, opened the bonnet the engine had overheated, called the hyundai service no, vehicle was towed. totally ran 90kms including the dealers 40kms. So my concern new car and engine fails what kind of quality checks do they have, very appaling.
It looks like Hyundai before realising their vehicles dont test the engines, manufacturing in wholesale overlooking important checks.
Dealer: Trident Hyundai, Domlur, Old HAL airport road, Hyundai i10 sportz, First car purchased in India, paid in full, and this is what we get car breaks down after delivery. no concern from the dealer had to make calls no follow up, horrible service as far as hyundai is concerned. I dont know what they have to say.
