Consider a time when I10 was the only option available for a small reliable hatchback just after santro xing, Yes the last decade I10 had become the go to car for every family. Came for a mere 3.8 lakhs on road( december discounts), it had all the good features one could expect from a hatchback at that point of time in 2010. No doubt the looks of hyundai’s small cars have always been fascinating but this one had a different tall boy approach with better looks. With so much traffic on daily basis , this car is the easiest to manoeuvre in busy traffic conditions and bumper to bumper traffic. The dashboard is clean looking with double tone upholstery and a wide front mirror gives a good sight to every corner. The service cost is very less and if u take it to a local service station it might take just Rs 500 for a non oil change service. Cheap, isn’t it? It is just like maintaining a motorcycle. The tyre came tubeless and it never got punctured till date because I mostly drive on proper roads. The only thing that troubled me is the mileage. Talking about the engine it is a small 1.1 petrol engine so you cannot expect much in terms of power but it surely will be comfortable in day to day city running and occasional highway visits. PROS- 1 Good looks (even better than new santro) 2 Tall boy stance ( a tall person can easily drive and head will not brush against the roof) 3 Easy to maneuvre in city traffic 4 Enough boot space to put 2-4 pieces of luggage. 5 low maintainance Cons- 1 Low Mileage (12-13 in city conditions with AC on) 2. Poor pick up ( specially with AC on) 3 No gadgets inside. 4 lack Power ( on highways it can be felt easily) 5 Poor Back seat space Overall for a small family it is a really wonderful car but people who want to do long trips on highways and erekend getaways, this is not the car for you.
