A nice little trendy package with comfort more than average hatchback and interior feel of a sedan

I have bought Hyundai i10 as my first car and booked Sportz version of the same. It has been barely second week of the car and I have already clocked, 1100+ Kms, made a trip to Bhimashankar and Shirdi from Mumbai. The performance of the car was phenominal and I am totally satisfied as the car was anything beyond my expectations. Pickup and power of car is really good, although it gives you real feel only at speed above 80 Km/hr. Since its a new car and still first service is pending, I didn't go beyond 100 Km/hr during my journey.

Car was really good in terms of suspension as it easily managed bumps and pot holes on the highways. A/C was really helpful to manage hot summers in Sahyadris. Drive is real smoothy and I got fuel economy of around 12-13 Km/ltr including drive on ghats and in between towns and villages with A/C on almost all the times. Still to calculate exact mileage in Mumbai city driving conditions.

Music system of the car is again one more addition to satisfactory feel of buying this car. I could listen to FM channels almost thorughout my journey, which changed locations from Mumbai to Pune to Surat FM stations but stil songs were in Hindi :-).

The only few cons I would say is Hyundai has cut the cost at many small places to maintain the cost of car low with new Kappa engine. Gear knob is lower in quality, inside rear view mirror back is again odd plastic, air ventilation system changed to traditional mechanical one from the electronic one as compared to the old versions. But these tits and bits won't reduce the fun of driving i10.

I would recommend anyone who is planning to buy new car with real fun, should consider i10 also in their shortlisted cars.
