      Hi All,

I am driving the i10 ERA model from last one month and have completed almost 1550 KMs, I find the car is very smooth compair to any other cars in this segment.

The gear shift is ultimate and new MDPS power steering is excellent.

If anybody is planning to buy a new CAR then one would go for i10 ERA model because it has all basic features like power steering, AC with heater, front two power windows, body coloured bumpers , etc.

The Hyndai has removed all small errors in santro and launched this vechile with total new package right from engine, interiors, exteriors, etc.

Exellent Small CARPrice is little bit on higher side.

On 07.01.2011, I purchased Hyundai Magna Kappa 1.2 from M/s DSC Motors Private Limited, Chennai – 35. On 28.01.2011, at 07.45 p.m, the car caught fire on its own with a big sound in the engine side, which was parked at my residence.

Immediately we called the Hyundai Road Services and also the toll free services to tow the vehicle from the place of incident. The burnt vehicle was removed from my house at 10.45 p.m. on 28.01.2011 towards DSC Hyundai Workshop at Saligramam.

On 29.01.2011 we registered a complaint with a Madhavaram Police Station and a copy of the FIR was handed over to me on 31.01.2011. I've submitted the copy of FIR, insurance copy and purchase bill to The General Manager, DSC Workshop for Insurance Claim. While submitting, they were so polite and assured me to give a new i10. But now, after few days, they make us shuttle among the departments and ask for Rs.60,000 to get the car repaired.

Dont you think its unfair to pay further cost for a week old brand new car? Kindly help in this regard. Before approaching the Legal help, I would like to have a fair deal with the company. The after sales services is too weird and just giving me a lot of frustation.

I was planning for my first car since long and finally the day arrived and i baught I0 CNG. i wanted to buy diesel car because i wanted to run smoothely and dint want to be like my frinds who says "yar car se kya karenge bike se chalte hai" because of petrol cost.

I baught it from noida in 5.60 lacs in Oct12 and i drove 10k as of now with one service completed and would be completing the second service this week.

Everyone has written lot abot interior exterior and i think all these things can be seen in first attempt in showroom however for exterior we can find many I10 around us hence i would only write about the experince on CNG.

i use to fill gas with upto 9 KG max and an average 8 kg only howver fro the day one i use to get min of 220 KM with 100% AC (because i think open window will attract dust and will dirt my car :)).

I am new to driving hence i was driving it to up to 80 KMPH in the begining and later i drove it to max 130-135 on yamuna expway. i got 185 KM in less than 8 KG. howver till now i get 200 + KM in 8 KG with 80-90 KMPH speed.

I have checked and found that even in city it gives min of 22km/ KG. I remeber when i was learning and not exceeding speed more than 60 before  first service as instruted/mentioned in manual i used to get 30 KM/KG.

Now come to perfromance, yes it may be but i dont speed much and i dont care because i love driving car rather only stick with pickup.

till now i am loving it and dint face any issue not even puncture hence enjoying it. i drive mostly on highway and fair usage is 1k in month.

i used it in rough roads as well as on highways and dint find any difrence. i am loving it sorry for not writing petrol miliege because i have only fille my tank 4-5 times in last 10 K run so you can say all running is only on CNG.

i am running on ptrol fo 10 km every after 400 km of CNG run and when i go to may native (Kannuj,UP) where i dint find CNG else i use to run in Delhi,NCR hence CNG is avaialble everywhere.

Yes i found sometime i have to wait for CNG but no issue thats ok and i can wait for 15-20 min max to fill the CNG.

My runnning cost on CNG is upto 2 RS if i fill it from NOida else even its much lesser in Delhi(remeber there is diffrence of 7 rs in noida and delhi price and more than 10 in rest of the UP like shikohabad and Agra, kanpur).

I have not used bike since the day i baught my I10 and its in abandoned situation. I paid 60 K extra for CNG and i would recover the cost in 20 K KM approx.

I am not happy with music ssytem provided in sportz hence planning to modify the system but due to CNG kit cant fit woofer or speaker in back.

I hardly carry luggaeso i dont miss space in dicky but if you carry luggae frequently you may miss it because there would not be even space where you can put small bag forget the suitcase.

I am not good writer or reviwer hence you can find language issue but i wrote it to share my views with you all.

You can reach me at amitkatiyar19@gmail.com for any query.

I am Buying a i10 Asta with a sunroof. I live in Shimla and I think that this is the best car for Shimla reason being

1 High BHP engine will give more speed as the weight of the car is less at 860 kgs. Power to weight ratio is very good. This in turn helps overtaking quickly which is extremely essential in the Hills as safe distances are very short.

2 Its not too broad and too long so parking in tight places and on not so broad roads will be a lot easier with lesser tension while you go for work.

3  The sunroof would be of no use in the plains where mostly people keep their windows shut most of the time, but in the hills we mostly drive with our windows open so a sunroof will be a nice change the only drawback can be monkeys or langoors jumping on the roof, which may break it.............so I have kept my fingers crossed.

4 Air bags are extremely important in the Hills, God forbid if you roll down a couple of hundred feet they can actually save your life by cousining you over Rocks and trees all the way down...................

I have purchased i10 1.2 Magna on April 2010 and I have a valid point to add about the A/C. The A/C is consuming more petrol. I was getting a mileage of 10kmpl in city and 14kmpl in highway with A/C ON (blower speed in 1st point), I tried lot of driving styles on highway - 80kmph constantly again I got the same 14kmpl, then I tried to drive at higher speeds 100 to 130Kmph and again I got the same 14kmpl.

This weekend I went for a long journey to Madurai almost 460km from Bangalore, surprisingly on the way I got 18.3kmpl @ a speed of 100 to 130 Kmph, then I observed that I was using little (20%) of A/C only because the outside whether was cold. Again to verify I switched ON the A/C for next 200 kms (one more full tank) I end up in getting 13kmpl with the same driving style 100 to 130 Kmph. Then I concluded that A/C is the culprit and now on the return journey I switched off the A/C or I used the A/C only 20% with all the windows closed and at a speed of 100 to 120 kmph, surprise!! now I got 18.64 kmpl for a drive of continues 300 km on the highway towards Bangalore, please note that there was no compromise of speed but the usage of A/C was minimal.

I covered 470 km in 5 hours from Madurai to Bangalore @ a speed of 100 to 130kmph with a fuel efficiency of 18.64kmpl), I was happily competiting with other vehicles on the road, but A/C... I do not want to complain about the A/C sucking more fuel, because there is a chance that the A/C compressor is new and may have more friction on A/C compressor’s piston and will have to undergo more wear and tear so that it will not consume more fuel.

Please note that i10 is having 80bhp so it will not show any sign of struggle to take the additional A/C load at any point of time, but it will consume more fuel - 4 to 6 Kmpl and it is too much for long journey. To use the A/C in economical way I am following the below steps:
Switch off the A/C while climbing up the hill.
Switch on the A/C only when you reach a speed of 100kmph or what ever is your stable speed.
Switch off the A/C when ever accelerating the engine, Switch off the A/C when I am overtaking other cars.

In City I am still getting 10kmpl only because my office is only 3 km away from my house and that too the traffic is very heavy and could not avoid A/C as well as signals :(

So far I have covered 4000 Kms on my i10 and I am fully happy with this i10 1.2 Magna!

Have been driving Alto 800 2006 model, after shifting to i10 magna 2011 model. I felt very comfortable driving it and also the finished interior of the car is more than expected with strong dash board, comfortable seats, easy gear shifting, decent braking and the smoothness of the engine which makes the car unique. it gives you peace and the pickup of the car is really awesome. I can run from 80-110 km in highway as well as the AC is very good and regarding maintenance its very low. The only thing is that the ground clearance is not up to my satisfaction. After all its fun for long driving with a mileage of 17-19 on highway and 10-12 on city with AC , really if you intend to buy low budget used car i will recommend i10 1.2 Magna/Sports (2011-2013). with a price range from 1.8 -2.5 lakh

Hi friends, first of all i would thank all people whose online reviews helped me in selecting my new car. I got i-10 Sportz model on 1st Jan 2009. Like others I had a detailed look on other options before finalizing this one. My range was 3.5 to 4.5lacs. My daily usage is around 20kms. And my highway usage is twice in a quarter. Primarily I compared i-10, Swift petrol/diesel, Spark and A-Star. My focus was to have a car with good engine, comfort, design, reliability and Fuel efficiency offcourse. My 3 weeks analysis made me narrow down to i-10 Sportz. And I am very happy for my decision so far, though I will recommend that if your daily run is more than 40kms then go for Swift diesel. The only and minor issue with i-10.....I felt initially, was color of dashboard. It should be bit more dark to minimise the reflection on sunny day drive. (But this has improved AC effectiveness). Now may be I am habitual I don't feel any problem due to the color. Mileage part: Till date my i-10 has covered approximately 755kms including city and highway drive (Chd to Jpr). I checked its average (tank full to tank full), a nice average of 17.7 km/ltr even prior to 1st service. I am quite satisfied with this mileage and hope it will increase further after 1st and 2nd service. On highway I avoided crossing speed of 100......but still I would say that it is quite stable and smooth on highway at high speeds. City drive is also very enjoyable and comfortable. Now I will be refueling it at Jpr to check its average again., and will update you all….. Have fun & drive Safe!!Gr8 style, gud design, gr8 engine, nice fuel economy, awsome drive!!haven't found any!!!

      Dear All,

I have been using i10-magna with factory-fitted CNG for over four years now (42000 km).  I have had a number of minor issues with CNG fitting over these four years.  Most frequent ones being mis-firing (especially during rainy season), problems with switching to CNG mode.  A major constraint is lack of technically skilled manpower in hyundai showrooms.  All service centers invariably have just one CNG technician who visits the showroom once or twice a week and you have to make time as per his schedule!!!  While these guys are trained in routine tune-up and minor issues they do not have training or infrastructure for any major CNG repair.

I now have a major problem with my CNG kit and I get to know that there is only one service center in the entire NCR which can diagnose and repair this and it is in Mathura Road.  I could not believe that in this age of globalization, car companies have created a monopoly in their CNG kits and its servicing.  Imagine somebody living in Gurgaon has to take the car all the way to Mathura road to get it serviced!!! This service center works five and half days a week and they pretty much advice you to not come on Saturdays at all!!! Therefore, you loose a working day to fix your car unless you have a driver!

Hyundai and perhpas many car dealers are fooling people by selling company-fitted kits at exhorbitant price without adquate manpower for servicing the same.  My advice is to not fall into this trap.  Many private approved CNG vendors do a pretty decent job for half the money and provide you good service at your door step.

Hope this review helps those who are thinking about factory-fitted CNG.

I am on the lookout for a new small car and am quite impressed with the Hyundai i10 except for one serious flaw which makes me hesitant. The seat reclining levers are easily accessible by all people in the car. A playful child or simply an adult at the rear putting up his feet, can cause catastrophe by accidently pressing the lever. Is there any remedy for this? A 60:40 breakup of the rear seat would have been preferableGreat comfort, Good looksseat reclining lever, boot space
