We have just bought the i10. Initially when we were planning to buy a small car (Me and my husband) we liked the design and style of I10 but we were not sure about the mileage. We zeroed in on Chevy spark, Tata Indica and I10. Maruti was out of question as we dint like suspension of swift. But when we test drove the i10, we found it very spacious inside, as compared to Chevy spark and liked the beige interiors. Suspension was OK (not as good as Chevy). Tata was ruled out because their dealer experience was pathetic ! Chevy was good in terms of shock absorbers but General Motor's financial situation deterred us from buying it.
Hyundai is a major player in Indian market for years and we heard their after sales service is excellent. Also, their service centers are all over the place. All this made the choice of i10 very obvious .....
Great style, enormous indoor space for a small car, great looksI am still waiting to find out the mileage, but I the new Kappa engine should not be a let down

I have been reviewing small family cars with the latest in technology. I discarded Santro, Maruti Wagon-R, Maruti - 800, Alto etc. If I wanted to keep a car for the next 6-8 years, I wanted to look at cars with the latest in technology, value of reselling in another 3 years and so on.
So the final list was Chevrolet Spark, Hyundai-i10 & Maruti A-Star.
A-Star is good and competitive with the other two, but where it falls below is rear space and boot space. Being a family that travels a little outside city, A-Star did not seem the right choice. Also, driving comfort for my dad (65 years old) would have been tough with the drivers seat placed below and drivers view restricted. So A-Star was out of the picture.
Chevrolet Spark & i-10 were the final contenders. Spark was a beauty to drive and had the most silent engine. What finally tilted in favor of i-10 was Hyundai service and negative points to General Motors with their economy taking a hit. Also, I was unsure about spare cost, service availability etc.
So, yes, I have finally decided to go with Hyundai-i10. Hyundai has been the next entrant after Maruti and my friends, relatives have had a decent feedback about Hyundai.

I am driving daily about 50 Km per day. Stearing and acceleration are very smooth to handle.
The new-age technological muscle power of Hyundai is evident in the high performance car beating the best. i10 takes this reputation of Hyundai miles ahead with its super efficient, intelligent responsive drive engine iRDE, a 1.1 L powerhouse with optimally designed ECU that yields an output level just right for the car.
Motor driven for extra precision and economy, the power steering - complete with a tilt steering column - adds extra special driving comfort.
MDPS is Light in weight, occupies less space, delivers excellent fuel economy. and have excellent steering quality
The i10 comes with a unique centre console mounted gear shift, a segment first. The i-shift transmission takes away all the strain from the aching arm resulting from long drives, while at the same time liberating greater legroom for the front seat passengers.

i10 is excellent car in its catagory. Its spacious, has excellent leg room, good interior and great style.
The car also has good milage, elegant design and very much suits to m personality. Even the servicing of this car is also excellent and Hyundai guys (Service center) provides car pick and drop, ver reasonable payment on service, does keep track of my car's service more than I keep.
Had done many long drive (Pune, Nasik, Bhandardara, etc) from mumbai and there was no problem at lot like heating up of Engine, loosing performance, etc.
I love i10.

the i10 1.2 'kappa' has proved be a rather smart and an 'i'ntelligent buy. nice frugal engine. quiet a stonker for the occasional red light drags and returns an impressive mileage as well. a very well built car overall and for the price its a great buy. the best part: 80bhp to move 840kgs! that is fun.
on the flipsyde i really wish the company, hyundai that is, had shot this genius lil baby of its with a wider track. something like the 175/75 R13. does not effect the ride much but greatly enhances the braking and grip.

with I-10, evrythg's improved, the interiors r in class of big sedans, the new power steering & gear transmissn are just a little behind the honda's & corolla's. the car is spacious enf for 5 person to sit comfortably evn whn the front seats r fully stretched back. the new engine is very smooth & noiseless. the ERA model has cost me 4,17,191 on road in ahmedabad. i got a loan for 3 lakhs for 3 yrs with 36 EMI of 9480 from HDFC being a preferred customer & an additional discount of 2000 for bookg thru them. i took 32% premium discount in insurance & 1500 voluntary discount for letting go claims below rs 5000. tht way the car cost me 4.59 lakhs with interest, process fees, insurace & RTO, without any accessories.
its premature to say abt mileage, coz the true mileage is chkd only aftr the first service, but i drove approx 265 kms in 21 litres of petrol with ac on, which works out to 12.5/ltr, considering highly congusted ahmedabad city driving & driving around by many members of the family. my santro gives me 11.5 in similar conditions. but ths car has tubeless tyres, new engine & after 1st service, i expect ths mileage to pick upto 14 somethg..hyundai has said its mileage is apprx 2 kms more than santro.
i hv covered most parts of my experience to give a indepth review. i m sure it will b very helpfull to everybody

i10 is really amazing combination of style, comfort and budget. I used to think in the concept of "simple living and high thinking" but since i saw i10 i believe in "style living and high thinking". Style is the right word for it, some of the proofs for its style are incidents like people turning their heads whenever and i10 passes by, strangers get curious and ask about the car at almost all places (from my local area to hill stations). almost all magazines and websites declaring it as the winner over its segment competitors.
There is a saying "Only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches", if this is true then even this is true that "Only the wearer knows how comfortable a perfect shoe is". Its not my obsession that is talking goody points about i10 but its just plain fact.
I this era where people are selecting hatchbacks over sedans, i10 comes out as first and perfect choice. Don't trust me, just check it yourself. Check any car review website and I am sure you will get points supporting this plain fact.

This was the great company which came to India and became competitor for Maruti. They have understood the Indian Market very well. We want best world class car with all the facilities with least possible cost. This is the car which is built in India and has same demand accross the Globe.
The i10 looks great and has got very good handling capacities. This has got all the good features of Santro and many new advanced features. I wish they could provide the 2 DIN Music System even with the basic version.
