Exterior Excellent exteriors, rear view side mirrors need to be smaller and prone to damage.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent but seat is a bit hard.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Big problem with automatic transmission. Taken to Concept Hyundai three times. They are not able to solve problem.Pl let me know reliable workshop which can solve the problem. I am a senior citizen having driven manual transmission cars for 40 yrs. Regret buying automatic transmission. Hyundai cannot do any thing and the staff in the workshops have poor knowledge of automatic transmission.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is poor due to mismatch with engine rpm and transmission. Suspension is stiff.
Final Words Having visited hyundai show room a no of times , do not know where to go Unless I get a solution I will be forced to sell the car.
Areas of improvement After sales service team should be sound.

Hi,
I bought an i10 around 4 months back and i am already repenting on my decesion on buying this car. I am giveing a very good rating to the dealer- trident , coz they are actually very good when it comes to customer service, it is a real pleasure dealing with those guys, ,but the car i10 sucks big time. There are some major design flaws with i10, which i came to realize after buying the car and that’s why i am writing this post, so as to make future buyers aware of the shortcomings of this car.
1. The rear window design of this car is such that it affects the drivers back visibility, there are some blind spots where u won’t be able to see what is behind you,, even when they are standing righ tbehind you. The proof of this can be seen in any service station. most of the accidental i10 will have accidents near the rear door and this happens due to the blind sopt. you just won’t be able to make it out as to if someone or something is behind you.
2. i recently met with a small accident. My car touched the car infront of me at a trafftic jam, the speed would have been maximum 5kmph. the impact was soo minor that i did not expect anything to happen, but i was wrong. the bonnet got a dent and there were a few scratches on the bumper, so i had thought only of repairing the bonnet. but my hopes were dashed when i went to the service station. on the inside, the coloumn that support the engine had broken off, because that is made of plastic and the cost was a cool Rs.6K, since it is made of plastic, i would be getting only 50% of the amount from the insurance. but this has also led me to question the safety of this car, if at 5kmph the car can get damaged so badly, how will it be able to save me in case of a major damage.. i am very sure now that this car is definitely not road worthy. it is so fragile that is scaringly unsafe.
3. after my accident, when i inspected the car , i saw most of the parts were built of reinforced fiber parts, which means that they are costly, break easily and are only covered 50% under insurance.
So if anyone is plannig to buy this car, be ready to spend huge amount of money on repairs and that too often as this car will not be able to withstand even minor bumps that we receive almost everyday on the indian roads.
I would be taking up this in the consumer court as i would like to see for myself the road worthiness certificate that has been given to this car and the crash test results.
and my sincere advice to all future buyers,, LOOK UNDER THE HOOD before buying. plastics, fibers = COSTLY maintainance / repair and low safety.

Exterior Good exterior if you want to impress some one. It looks cute and stylish.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quite comfortable, for driver of height 6 ft, enough head space available. Good audio system and side mirror control, electric side window and rear wind shield wiper is good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I felt it's less powerful for 1.2 liter Kappa engine, demands gear shift frequently on slope , on a flat road even at 40Kmph in 4th gear , you can hear a rumbling noise from the engine ,struggling to pick up. Fuel economy as the name suggests(I 10) its below or near 10 for city drive , even if you have driven at 40 kmph average speed. I did a mistake of blindly booking this car with out taking a test drive,be coz ,the new model was not available with the dealer. I wrote to their customer care about the car, I am yet to hear from them. This is my third car I am really disappointed with its performance.
Ride Quality & Handling Vehicle is very light, easy to handle , has a tendency to run fast in second gear. Stalls in slope driving, requires frequent gear shift.
Final Words Extremely disappointed with this car. I do not recommend this car to buy.
Areas of improvement Needs improvement in engine performance which is the heart of the car and fuel economy needs lot of improvement.

Exterior Is price Appropriate but not that good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Again IS price appropriate.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Not at all GooD.!! millage is just 9 in city and 12 on highway..but has very smooth gearbox>>. <<engine performance ,especially acceleration is ver much dULL.. top spEED is just 100.!! engine Power is not good i think better buy than this is Beat SAntro or waganaR.!! approprieatly the car is not good for middle class family because fuel consumption just suks.!!.must say finnance tight people should not go for this vehicle.
Ride Quality & Handling Again very much dull in this AREA it topels at speed of 70km/hr, and afraid to touch the 70 mark interms of handling i think <<mauriti omni>> gains more stability than this vehicle.!!..very hard on bumps.!! .weight ratio is also not maintaned jumps high when crossing seedbreaker at speed of 20km/hr.
Final Words I reccomemd not to buy this vehicle.!! because resale value is very bad personnaly i have i10 sportZ frm abt 8 months<<6000 km driven>> it is well maintaned, no scratches n whn checked out its resale value n it was just 230000 it had depriciated to about 40% in short time span of 8 months cant say much about the service thing because jus taken once to service centre till date..if intrested in vehicle just try it at spped of 70 u will realize how waste of money iT iS.
Areas of improvement Aceept for design <<interior n exterior>> all the phases, n esspecially if hyundai want to maake it sucessful for middle claass they should do some R&D aceept for exterior and interior look.

Before proceeding any further let me tell you I am 24 years old and this is important as I want myself to be associated with something refreshing yet classy. So I didnt opt for santro as it is was still there when I was 14. I have an i10 1.2 mangna and it Rock'z.The interiors are so fine that you really wanna sit inside even when you are not driving. The manouverability is excellent and you have no hackles driving through crowded lanes and streets. It fits five big persons reasonably though boot space seems a little less then I also dont travel very often with two big suitcases. The fuel economy is at par with santro 13-14 kmpl. To summarize if you gotta make your neighbours red while saving yourselves a few good bucks than Hyundai has accomplished the mission impossible.
Great styling, class interiors, excellent handling, very spacious, not rally anyExterior/Styles

Purchased recently i10 Kappa Magna from a Jammu dealer. It is having pleasnat interior and exteriors. The drive is comfortable and smooth in city running. The seats do not appear to be good enough for long runs. Luggage of 5 passenger undergoing long distnce runscannot be accomodated in the boot.
It may be too early to comment on its fuel economy as delivery has been taken only two weeks back but even by present reckoning the fuel economy is found to be quite poor. It gives only 8/9 klm per lt. petrol without AC or heater. Hope it gives better performance in due course.
Shall appreciate anybody having better experience.
