I always believed budget hatchbacks are not cars to look out for in terms of sheer performance. After all, its main purpose is to commute from point A to point B. They are supposed to be dull and boring. There is a new contender to challenge this belief.

Hyundai cars were never made to look good earlier. Take the Verna or the Sonata, neither of the cars looked nice forget appealing but then with the advent of the fluidic design philosophy, everything has gone upside down. Present day Hyundai cars look the most aggressive and cut edge. The new Hyundai Sonata totally steals it from competition with its shark style design.

The Grand i10 too offers a lot in terms of sheer design. It does drop some inspirational hints from the Hyundai Eon but then the Grand i10 takes it further. It does not look similar to competition. The design boasts of aggression and impressive styling. Hyundai has made sure that even though it is not a premium hatch does not mean the design should be bland and boring.

Look at it from front and the Grand i10 has a wide look. The headlamps have a sweep back design. The hexagonal front opening makes the car look wider and the contrasting black bar stands out in the design. The horizontal slats under this bar also aid the air movement to the engine. The radiator grille is a very slender chrome lining running across the width with the Hyundai logo placed on it. Even the front angular fog lamp design is impressive. The fog lamps are finished in chrome.

It has a strong yet subtle wedge line running on the side profile. The door handles are done in chrome. The external ORVMs electrically retract when the car is locked. They can be adjusted internally too. The ORVMs are also equipped with turn indicators. The level of detailing done is interesting as even the turn indicators get a slight dash of chrome around it.

With the window line starting at a lower position and flowing all the way to the rear C Pillar at a higher position, it makes the car look front inclined. The roof line flows over the strong A pillar before finally sloping till the rear and with the roof mounted spoiler, the design completes very aesthetically.

Good out look, Smooth Engine, Very good ComfortPickup Drops when AC is on.

Exterior Good aerodynamic design looks good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good but some times AC does not cool the vehicle , the coolr air passes through the main AC and AC  vent, but both has less cooling.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox My new car has engine issue , while moving on road , it loses its pickup.Your speed of 60 suddenly comes down to 30. Its huge chance for hit hit from back , by the running vehicles behind you. Aboout 25btimes I have send the vehicle to Dream Hyundai Ghaziabad , but no improvement. They are unable to resolve the issue.

The service Engineers on trial and error method some times they changes its sensors sometimes other parts.

Sometimes its disply goes off, without any reason, the service engineer has no answer on it also.

But a new vehicle just two year old has engine issue shows the technology of Hyundai or incapibility of service engineers of Dream Hyndai.

 

Design and DrivingEngine Issue My car on road drops its Pickup

Pavan Hyundai offered a good deal. Had many cars on my mind but finally gave in to Grand 10 because of the discounts offered for a great car.mileage should have been more. I have been fascinated about Hyundai Engine smoothness and that continues to this also. Service has been getting costlier year after year for my other Hyundai car and I expect this also the same

Hyundai proving decent offers on Grandi10. One of the marketing executive called me and taken my appointment, explained all the features. Already i came to the end to buy a car from among Swift, Tiago NRG & Grand i10. So now decided to buy Grandi10 Finally i bought my Grandi10 Sportz (O) Diesel on Nov 5th and started rides to Hyderabad to Hometown very frequent visits and roaming in Hyderabad. Completed 6000 KM. Just i had completed only service, ofcourse it is free and here is my complete analysis. PROS: 1. Engine performance is so smooth and highway performance is too good 2. Mileage wise it is giving 16-18 in city and 20-22 in highway. I am very happy with this mileage. 3. Seating comfortness is good for driver and co driver. 4. Front cabin look is good 5. Steering control options are so nice like phone/trips/changing modes/voice controls etc etc 6. Leg space is very comfortable for front persons 7. AC performance is too good, just with first step we getting chilled feeling [need to check in summer :) ] 8. No cabin and body noise so far 9. Back seat AC vent option is good CONS: 1. Back side wiper not provided for Spotrz (O) variant also ( this is almost top variant, so they can give) 2. Upto 2 persons it will be good in the back seat, but 3 persons can not sit comfortably 3. No headrests for back seat passengers 4. Automatic door locking mechanism not available

I bought this car Sportz(O) Diesel on 30-05-2017. Drive nearly 30,000 till now. It was nice experience driving this car. It is good car in this price range. Some of the features are better than some big cars. Need to have some more colours to select the vehicle. After 20,000km engine sound increased caused discomfort.

It's the best car in it's sector. The pick up, smooth movement of gears. The car is just awesome. Beware that you won't get into any accident as the parts are of fibre n plastic materials. Looks are pretty cool. The space is okay as I am 6ft 3inch. Hyundai have never stepped back in it's service and maintenance part.

It's the best car below 10 lakhs. The car was in very good condition even after driving for more than 13 thousand kilometres. The onroad mailage of this car is about 16 to 18 km per litre. I can say that it's one of the best car at present

I have run this car for more than thousand kilometers and my experience is very good.Its interior is also very good . Car offers luxury look.I have been running this car for the past 1 year and my experience has been fantastic. I will suggest people not hesitate to buy this car.Grand i10 Grand i10 is a good car.
