Exterior It is awesome from aesthic view. Quality material used. New Grand i10 is with Class design.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dual tone interior gives you the class experience, Rear vent AC is very powerfull and gear box is really smooth u will love to drive car in city and on highway too the car is really responsive and having a good handling and really nice suspesion.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very smooth, But Fuel Economy need to be improved, It gives 12-13 KM/Lit and On Highway it gives 18-19 KM/Lit 

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is best in comparison with any of the Maruti Suzuki cars. I will give 9/10 the car really worth the money... u can go for it.

Final Words This is my First Car and found it Awesome, Definitely one should go for it

Areas of improvement Odometer does not shows the basic features like (to Empty Distance, Milage). Milage in the City is really very Poor 12 KMPL but it is good when it comes to Highways i.e. 18 KMPL.

This is my first car, after lot of surveys and test drives I decided to buy I 10 grand Sports petrol.

I have driven 7000kms and completed 1 year also and now I am in love with this car.

At starting there was problem with gear box but Hyundai replaced it without spending a Single penny.

About Car: This car is awesome. This not common like swift. Luxurious feel, very smooth, very silent engine, comfortable can’t compare with other car in this segment.

Visible area from car is gr8 you will not feel that you are packed in a box, car gives me 20kms/liter avg on highway. Leg room is very good, boot space is good. Very good looking car.

Excellent ac but makes noise on 3rd 4th. Very Good pickup and stable at speed of 150 on express highways. Good build material.

If you love luxury, comfort, smooth engine, and stylish look then pls go ahead with I10 grand, If you love only cheap spare parts and lot of service centers, good resale value then you know.

Area of improvement is more colour options, ABS and Air Bags in sports model.

Post sales service needs to be badly improved in terms of visible complaints like i had in last one month from the date of booking to till date. I have lost faith in the brand and its product though i had been a loyal customer of Hyundai since long with Santro and I 10 earlier but after buying Grand I 10 Sportz Petrol i will never ever buy any Hyundai car again and will also never recommend it to anyone in my life. I am shattered and disturbed completely and need some urgent action on this as i cannot daily left my car to thier service stations as i am working and cannot spare time for such issues for which Hyundia is completely responsible.

Exterior The finish has been really good with excellent finish.

Final Words Though exterior has been amazing, I feel I made wrong decision in buying this vehicle. Hardly two months later I got my vehicle stuck in middle of road. After 3hours of frantic calls I could somehow get service personnel to repair. They found that key sensor with ignition has been corrupted and they did software repair. Again two months later it recurred now. They say battery is not dischargng properly. They have replaced substitute battery. I don't know how long it will run. It is becoming an experience of fear while driving. Please do not go ahead with grand i10 if planning to buy car.

Areas of improvement Service personnel should be aware of problems in new vehicles after launch to avoid unnecessary hardship to customers.

First of all, i wish to inform intent of review. I took a test drive of Grand for around 5-6 kms. My intent was to purchase a car (top model with airbags, ABS, alloy wheels), so i took test drive of more cars as well.

In very short, if you are OK with interior color scheme of car and don't wish to read a lenghty review further, there is no better car in market. Go and buy it.. Simple!

First the 'Cons': The only thing i didn't like is the black-beize color scheme where black is very dominant. I would have liked if there was more use and beize and less or no use of black. If you disbelieve me, compare it against i10 (not grand) higher versions which look so nice with pleasing beize color scheme. Also, compare it against Brio higher models which looks like a eye candy while Grand looks dull and too dark, even boot tray is black color in Grand. Beize interiors are my personal taste, if you are OK with color scheme of black-beize, go for it.

Exterior Exterior are good looking specially from back, very nice from sides and above average from front. Polo and Swift still leads the class in exteriors (my opinion only). Polo looks pleasing from all angles while Swift look best from sides and back!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Grand i10 has best featurs in class,nothing comes close. I am not mentioning the list which you can easily find out, i am considering Asta (O) variant only which is fully loaded.

VS competition:

VW Polo: I took a test drive of Polo 1.2 petrol which felt sluggish due to 3 cylinder engine so rejected first. Why no 4 cylinder engne? Indians are really cheap and go after cheap things so VW discontinued its best variant - 1.6 litre due to poor sales.

Honda Brio: Brio has best engine in this class with best weight to power ratio. Impressed with test drive but rejected due to 2 reasons: Impractically small boot space and smaller wheel base results in not-so-good handling on bad roads (more vertical movement).

i20 1.2L: While everything is great, engine lacks punch with lowest weight to power ratio. Rejected.

Swift: Top models of Swift are most serious competition any day. I simply didn't consider it for 2 reasons: 1) It is too common on road  2) All black interiors.

Fabia: Didn't consider it since it has least ground clearance in-class and don't wish to experience after sales suppoprt of Skoda.

i10 (not grand): While it is good, i am looking for slightly bigger/spacious. i10 is too small for my taste.

Etios Liva: Cheapness all over and don't vislualize as my family car. Toyota: Are you listening?

Sedan - Etios: Took a test drive since I also considered it. Engine was nice and smooth but again cost cutting and cheapness is very much evident. During test drive, instrument panel in middle of dashboard looks like a dummy, I felt like it is unreal on a test drive car, just blue and colored stickers. I asked the toyota person accompanying me if this is real, he told me it look very nice at night in blue light. It was really very cheap! Later, i discovered another reason for not buying it - Looks like safety and stability for highway speed has been compromised because Toyota used a lot of plastic and tin in making this car. Can someone believe that Honda Brio (Hatch) and Toyota Etios (Sedan) weight the same (both top variants)? Find it yourself... Shame on you Toyota!

Grand has very nice petrol engine with lot of power and smooth gear box. I am impressed!

Ride Quality & Handling Better than most of competition and no complaints here. You will be pleased! Hyundai has provided ABS on top variants but could have considered EBD also!

Final Words This is the most serious competition for other cars in this class. Nice and smooth engine, gearbox, suspension is nicely tuned and this car has best in-class features.

Areas of improvement  

1) Needs better color scheme for interiors, make it 2 tone beige and i will buy it (top model) same day!

2) Carwale site lists 'Middle rear seat' having 3 point safety belt on Asta(O) variant while showroom people told me that it is not true. They didn't have Asta (O) variant to show me, gave a test drive on Sportz. I beleive them (showroom people) and request Hyundai to include 3 point safety belt to middle rear seat as well. It is important to me since i use a carseat with my kid and wish to mount carseat in middle which demands 3 point belt or latch system. I know that most of cars in India don't offer this feature but someone has to initiate it since lap belts for rear passenger is really dangerous, specially for little kids!

There were no discounts in December 2013 on Grand due to supply-demand in Hyundai's favor. I could have bought it if there was some special offer. I guess that its not wise to pay full in december, better to buy in new year. I have another car in family so we can wait!

Used Car alternatives:

1) Polo 1.6L Petrol - This comes in Highline variant only (top model with airbags, ABS, alloys) and wonderful weight to power ratio with 4 cylinder 1600cc engine although FE will be slighly less. This leaves a Swift behind! If VW hasn't discontinued this variant, i would have purchased it new right away.

2) Honda Jazz - Again one of the best in class. I was not in India for long time and missed those heavy discounts which honda offered while discontinuing Jazz. The only cons in this car is middle seat comfort in rear due to shape of seat.

I brought new Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz Petrol, on 10-Dec-2014, Pure white colored, from Prince Hyundai Ujjain. This car is really awesome, nice pickup, very good gear shift, I have nice driving expirence with this car. 

But dealer expirence is not so good. After few days after car get delivered I got a small bump on left hand side bumper, Car got some minor scratches, and the fog lamp was distrubed from it orignal location. When I call company executive, to get car repaired, he said their workshop will take some time to start(and suggest to get car repair from outsider!!!), thus I went to local workshop and get fog lamp attached, There the mechanic who seems to very expirenced and humble said that this car was bumped earlier also. I shows me some paint on fog lamp front grill, also the bumper was already cracked, and thus when It was bumped again, the paint was removed, there I saw some putty work as well. 

 

Again then just few day back when I was driving, I heared some sound from below engine. I found that engine splash pan was broken, I removed it, but what I found is there was so much paint over the pan, from same left hand side. It is very clear from these that car was painted after coming from factory. 

 

Now it's already being 1 month I don't even provided invoice any paper for my car. Two day back when visited them they just give me insurance cover note, and their executive said they will inform me about invoice and RC in 1 or 2 hours. but till now I don't have any call from them.

 

Before choosing Grand I10 I was going to buy Swift, but I feel like cheated, since Maruti has very good after sales services. But with Hyundai I have no service, I am eager to get my car repaired, but their is no sign when their workshop will start, as they said it would start from 15 Dec, then from 1 Jan, now saying from 10 Jan workshop will start, but don't know when it will start?

Exterior In latest Sportz Version, crome handle doors are replaced with body colour handle doors. Those who are giving priority to external looks has to think twice before going to this variant as these crome handles and alloy wheels are playing an important role for external display. Also rear defogger has been added in sportz variant which will help us to clear the fog deposited on the rear glass. But this variant is not provided with rear viper.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The steering wheel has be provided with audio controls and Blutooth interface. Except steering wheel leather cover, Seat adjustment and Push button start, the interiors are identical to that of its higher variant Asta.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Comfortable during test drive.

Ride Quality & Handling Very impressive.

Final Words If anyone wants a car with impressive looks and comforts with reasonable budget, this car is the ideal one. Except mileage factor, this car satisfies every thing.

Areas of improvement During pickup it is lagging a bit when ac compressor is on. Rear view mirror vision to be improved.

More color option is lacking. Dull seat color is to be replaced. Save guard for frond side bumper should be there for unwanted scratches.Optional accessories is not available in the market...

1. Buying Experience - Selection process was very straightforward and a one horse race. Being my First car, Buying experience was fantastic. Hyundai Dealership made sure to make the D Day a very happy day. 2. Riding Experience - Being a Hyundai, Fit and Finish was great inside and outside but with just one very glaring issue, misaligned Hatch door on the left side. Well, dint bother me though. Absolutely fantastic NVH levels under 3500-4000 rpm. But if pushed hard, engine sounded boomy. Fuel efficiency was not upto mark from a 1.2 l engine and overall a very unenthusiatic car Very absorbant ride quality but bouncy at highway speeds. Absolutely disconnected Power Steering with no feel and feedback, even scary at highway speeds. 165/65 R14 tyres are just too narrow. 3. Looks - Great looks on the exterior and interior. Loved the play of beige and black on the inteiror. 4. Servicing and Maintenence - Servicing and maintenance was done at company specified time. Although the cost of maintenance was a bit on the higher side I felt 5. Pros - - Value for Money car - Great fit and finsh and good plastic quality on the interior - Spacious inteirors - Great NVH Levels 6. Cons - - Slightly Low fuel efficiency - Unenthusiatic Engine and Gearbox combo - Disconnected Power Steering unit with no feel and feedback
