Small family car in low budget ......

I took the car on 16th Feb'2012. Eon is all about looks only - wheather interior or exterior. Fluidic desing makes looks very good in all angles.

This is petrol engine and you can clearly feel engine noise/vibration all the time, very disappointing. In city driving condition, gear shifting rod (gear shaft) always shakes even though gear shifting happenes smoothly. Leg space on back seat is OK not very great, however it is comfortable and is not as bad as many other claimed.

Mileage - I drove it to my hometown (approximate 300 km) on national highway NH9 which is in good condition. Gave 15.6 km/lit on highway with A/c on. City - 14-15 km/lit. I totally disagree with Hyudai's claim of 21.1 km/lit. Showroom guys have claimed that after 1st servicing it may go up by 1-2 km/lit.

About dealer - I took it from Talwar in Hyderabad. I felt there after sale service is very good. I met with small accident and they provided me every possible support. Also Hyudai break down service is good in Hyderabad.

Overall, NOT great value for money.

Exterior No Doubt the best in small car segment.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good can be rated 3.5 for 5.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is the part which is tricky. Engine is smooth and really never had (even a day) any issue with the engine.AWESOME PERFORMANCE.  I also did a Long drive (800Kms) Its very different than earlier Eon cars (model 2012) and much better. However the pickup while AC is on is very Bad. I can tell even on the normal Road (not inclined roads like Ghat sections) the pickup is bad while AC is on. Without AC the pull is very good.  BHP is 55 bhp @ 5500 RPM, however not sure why is the pickup so normal!

Ride Quality & Handling Very Good.

Final Words My experience with a long drive and 10,000 Kms drive was a fun and had a very good experience . Worth buiying this car!!! Forget about the old Eons which were bad (like 2012 Models). Hyundai has taken care of all complaints and come up with right Car.

Areas of improvement Fuel efficiency is not so good (I generally get 16KM/Liter), not so good.  Pickup when AC is on is not so good. need to be taken care of.

Exterior The exterior is just amazing the concept of fludic design is really visible. size & design is much better then any other car in this segment.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Two tone interior really makes u feel rich & comfortable. visiblity all around is really good, AC works fantastic. also the seats are very comfortable for new drivers like me. the over all stearing controls are very smooth & easy to control during drive.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 814CC, 3 cylinder is ok for better milage but should have built with 4cylinder 1000CC engine. Gear box is vibrating all the time but not to much engine noise inside.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is very smooth, engine noice not big problem, suspensions are really well designed & perfet for family car like this.

Final Words I am in love with EON it's my first car & really won my heart.

Areas of improvement Engine Specs, gear box, EORVM, Rear power window, boot space.

Fantastic looks, interior quality, fully loaded features, milage, priceShould have built with 4cylinder 1000CC engine.

Exterior Gives a fresh look. Hyundai has done a good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good little bit of noisy but it can be ignored. fuel Economy is good compared to previous hyundai petrol cars.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality & handling is very nice as power steering is so light, effective and on long drive you can't feel tiered. Instrument cluster is impressive and gives a new look to this car.

Final Words It is a best car in this segment  EON  rocks. It will take time to get popularity to this car as people are waiting for car's performence to be heard from others.

Areas of improvement Nothing to improve price must be came down as in year end there is heavy discount on other petrol cars as at santo there is total 40 k and at i10 there is 60 k discount.

Good performence, interior quality, good milage everything is superbNothing

Nice little city car ...quite stylish and fancy at that price range...dont look for performance of a switft or a honda city...but pretty good for what you pay for...its a nice little city car with good fuel economy...and looks better than an entry level car...driving exprience is moderately good if not superb...nd yes, u dont epect it not to shake driving at 80-100kmph...it will shake ...all hatchbac segment cars below 5lacs do shake a little at that speed...Remember, its important to look for features like power steering, power windows, central lock, inbuilt music system which the sportz variant offers.

Buy this. If u are looking not to burn your pocket. I have good fuel economy and most of yr travel needs are around city limits. If you are looking for luxury comfort, a great horsepower for performace and pickup or drivign long distances often, this might not be your car

Good Stylish Hyundai waves on exterior, Nice fancy dashborad in Sportz version, Good FuelLess Spacious rear seats

Exterior Looks pretty good. Very compact. Easy to drive in traffic and doesn't need much space to take turns on roads.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice and very comfortable. Seats can be adjusted as per requirement. Enough space for luggage. Less space at front. Driver's hand clash with the person sitting besides, while changing gear. Apart from that, it looks fine.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Normally it is fine if not using ac. If you use ac while driving, car pick up drops drastically and car stops abruptly. If you turns off the ac, car is back to normal. Car also gets shaky at times while changing gears and accelerating.

Ride Quality & Handling Smooth and easy. Randomly jerky. Otherwise most of the times, the ride is very comfy. Just as expected from a 800cc car.

Final Words All in all pretty much fine but serious trouble with car while ac is on. The engine performance is drastically lowered with ac use.
