Exterior Excellent looking car, Styling of verna fluidic, over all look resembles i10, Large 13 inch wheels but only for few top models, Looks great in all angle. Clearly a winner in its segment.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior Styling is very good compared to alto and spark, for this price range we con't expect more. Leg room for the rear passenger is very poor, but it is ok for city driving.Large boot space more or less equal to i10.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Too early to tell.. but expect to be good, considering it is from hyundai. But what i feel is alto k10 has a better engine whcih carries maruti's new K-Series 1000cc engine.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good pick up and a smooth ride. Handling is better than alto and spark. You wont feel you are siiting in a low segment car, you feel like you are driving an i10.

Final Words Over all Hyundai EON wins Alto and alto K10 but Alto K10 wins EON only in VFM criteria.. For those who want to buy a stylish car and not an old looking car, Hyundai EON is the best car you can get in this segment. It's brand new with great styling. If price is your consern then go for Alto.
Areas of improvement Back seats should be pushed backward to give more leg room for rear passenger.Boot space will be reduced by doing so, but it is city car we need leg room morethan boot space.

This is a review based after deciding to purchase a 3rd vehicle for our family. We wanted a small vehicle which can run in the city and occasionally long drives. I had loved the eon at its launch itself but then had a lot of mixed reviews. I never liked the alto. I dont have anything against the car but i have been in alto of my relatives, friends, the car looks and feels an absoulute compromise. But with the mixed reviews i was even confused for the Eon. But the TD and two month owning experiecne of one of my collegue has cleared the doubts. I took a TD of Eon & within 5 mins of the alto LXI 800 cc and K10 as well. My experience of the two TDs is mentioned below
Exterior Does not need any comparison. Is generations ahead.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is a feature rich car. Very good interiors the moment you get it. It does not feel an entry level car at all. The features, the overall fit and finish, the quality really makes it a real winner.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Well here i will break it into 2 parts.
1. Eon Vs Alto 800: Eon did have a lil vibration intitially but was negligible(this could be as i am used to an i20 and i definately felt i20 more refined, worng comarison though). The pick up was decent, the AC was good and the power steering was decent. It did somewhere make you feel a 800cc vehicle which i had fogrot as was floored by the features and quality fit and finish the engine makes you realise that. But overall it is a very very decent performing car for the city and acceptable for the highways. It definately is a pick among 800cc vehicles. all the reviews that performance and engine is not good i hope people have actually driven it.
Wheas the Alto 800cc is been doing duty since many years now. The car was decent and no ways bad but lost to the Eon in all aspects, be it gear shift, vibrations, AC.
2. Eon Vs Altok10: Here is where Alto i felt was a lil better. THe K10 was a different story than the 800. The gear shifting was better, the overall performance was lil better than Eon. But if you say that it is way ahead i would disagree.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality was much much better in the Eon. THe suspensions look to be made for Indian roads and really do their job. we were 4 people incuding the company staff at the TD. Two people at the rear felt Eon to have a better ride than the Alto. Also the space and comfort was more felt in Eon.
Final Words I have booked the Eon. was not very convined for the Eon initially reading some negative riviews. But my own experience and my friends expericne has changed it all & i also realized that the negative reviews is similar to negative reviews to i10 & i20 initially when it was launched by some ppl who are scared that Hyundai will takeover their fav Maruti. But i10 & i20 have proved that it is a superior product and so will eon. also on the price it isnt a very pricey choice as potrayed by some. The price for eon and alto (ex showroom Mum) are mentioned below.
1. Eon Era : 315925
2. Alto Lxi 800: 289667
3. Alto Lxi K10: 312462
The difference is 25k between alto 800 Lxi and eon & only 3k between k10 and eon. These are comparison for similar models of two cars. Now eon is targetting two segments. One is ppl like me who are buying 2nd or 3rd car for family or people buying 1st entry level car. I think both the segments would not at all mind paying 15-20K more for this product & package.
Areas of improvement May be can offer some freebeies and can get some disc of around 15k. BTW i managed to get both from Shreenath Hyundai at Mumbai so i am not complaining here. With a 15k disc this became more of a VFM for me.

Exterior Car Makers should Re-Think that front Indicators between front Grill & Head Lamps are very risky. Front Indicators of Most of Hyundai cars, SX4, VW Cars, Honda etc. are not visible when Headlamps are in "Full/High Beam" mode, which is very very risky. EON Looks like a miniature of i10. Front & tail lamps, side etc. all remind of typical Hyundai styling. By size, it can be compared to cars of bigger (4 Lakhs plus) segment.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front Seats are big big let down, in otherwise comfortable car. Hyundai started, Maruti & Toyota followed. Not giving adjustable Head-Rest in front seat. Short drivers can not remove Head Rest. Tall drivers can not lift up head rest. I think this is very bad cost cutting in cars. EON is otherwise more comfortable than peers.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine noise could tell, it lacks the power, given EON is the heaviest in sub 3 Lakh range. And 9 valves though may get slightly better mileage BUT will fall too short to ALTO's 12 Valve motor. When its sprinting uphill, Santro/i10 1.1 lose to Wagon, Zen & Ritz mainly because Maruti cars have 4 breathing outlets compared to 3 in each of Hyundai cylinders. EON is 18 C.C. more than ALTO but Lesser Valves in cylinder may require frequent Gear change in traffic, climbing etc. Expect 1-2 KMPL better mileage on highways in EON over ALTO. Fuel economy Hyundai claims to be 21, but showroom fellows told in city expect 16-18. I, thus assume mileage to be about 18.
Ride Quality & Handling Its a heavy car, handling should be nice. More space should give good, comfortable rise feel in what one can get under Rs.3 Lakhs.
Final Words Good job, with few errors. Buyers have good choice among EON, Spark and Long tried & tested ALTO.
Areas of improvement As I mentioned, Front Seats should have adjustable Head Rest. 9 valve is less for probably the heaviest car in sub Rs. 3 Lakhs. And front Indicators are not visible when Head lamp is in High/Full Beam due to wrong positioning.
Hyundai knows the Best what India wantsAgain Hyundai's Cheap Cost cut has big let down in Front SeatsExterior/Styles

Exterior Good looking car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) OK for the price paid.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very poor performance. Vehicle JERKS very often.Too much of vibration on the gear shaft. Toomuch of engine noise. Low milage, maybe around 15Km/Lit, not 21.1 as claimed by Hyundai.
Ride Quality & Handling Very much uncomfortable to ride with the Jerk.
Final Words I had purchased this EON on 23rd Nov 2011 and noticed the jerking problem within a week. I had given my car four times to the dealer for solving the jerking problem. They are clueless in finding the problem and resolving it. Every time they returned the vehicle with the assurance that the problem is resolved. But the fact is that the problem remains as it is. They are doing all HIT and TRIAL methods on a brand new vehicle.
They are not even ready to test the mileage. They say that you get the mileage as mentioned in the catalogue only after 5000 - 6000Kms of running. My argument is that if this is the case, they should mentioned this in their catalogue.
I strongly recommend you NOT to invest you hard earned money for this useless car. Instead choose a proven car.

I took the delivery of my new hyundai EON model on 28-01-12 from krishh showroom patna Bihar, India with VIN no.MALA251ALXXXXXXXX; Chasis no. MALA251ALXXXXXXXX*A; Engine no. G3HABXXXXXXX and key no.P03XX.I noticed on 30-01-12 that some leakage mark is lying on the floor. I ignored that it is not possible from a new car. Again I kept observation on it for two more days. I noticed the same i.e.some lubricant spillage on the floor. Then I discussed the matter with the showroom from where I purchased. They checked and confirmed that there is a lealage from gear box of this new car. Then I requested them to change my this piece of car with new piece of car. Then they replied that it is not possible to replace with new car rather will repair the gear box part. They repaired the gear box today i.e.04-02-12 but after repairing also some new sound is emanating after pressing the clutch in starting condition.
I request you to please lookinto the matter and replace ny car with new car to maintain my trust in the hyundai products.I think some quality problem is there in this model since such thing cannot be expected from a brand new car.Looking for a favourable action from your end for keeping my confidence in hyundai products intact.

Exterior Sporty look in the car body. Its head lamp is looking like wings and front face of the car is liking smiling look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious and luxury look. Dual colour crash pad with beige colour dominating is good in look. Steering profile is also suitable for fast driving persons. Good turning radius. Seat is very comfort to sit. Front and rear seat are with head rest supporting inside the seat, Seat is more support in the bolster area which gives comfort in the driving condition and seating position.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good - 5 speed gear box with good fuel economy.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth riding in plain and rough roads. Adjustable steering is one main point in this segment of cars.
Final Words Apt to buy for its price in this car range. Good driving comfort when compared to Alto.
Areas of improvement To increase the no. of colurs to capture market.

Exterior YOU WILL KEEP LOOKING AT IT,HUGE LIGHTS SUPER SIDE LINES,REAR NOT THAT GOOD, QUIET FUSTRATING ON SIGNALS WHEN PEOPLE ARE CROWDED NEAR YOUR CAR TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT IT.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) THIS IS THE AREA WHICH YOU WE LIKE THE MOST, NICE COLOUR THEME, FIT AND FINSH A CLASS APART FROM OTHER MANUFACTURES,LOTS OF CABIN SPACE I AM 6 FT HIGH NO PROBLEM IN HEAD ROOM AND LEG,REAR LEGROOM IS QUIET TIGHT. RIDE IS COMFORTABLE AND AMAZING,BUMPY WHEN SINGLE ON ROUGH ROADS BUT WHEN FULL HOUSE IT IS SMOOTH.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox NICE PICKUP, YOU WONT NEED RPM METER AS IT IS HAVING GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR, GEAR LEVER VIBRATES AND YOU CAN FEEL THE ACCLERATION JUST KEEPING HAND ON IT. FUEL ECONOMY IN CITY WITH AC ON ALL TIME 17.5KMPL AND WITH OUT AC 18.8KMPL AND ON HIGHWAY 24.9 WITHOUT AC AND 23.6 WITH AC ON ALL TIME( TANK FULL TO TANK FULL METHOD USED TO CALCULATE FE)
Ride Quality & Handling RIDE QUALITY IS SUPERB, YOU CAN GO ZIG ZAP ZOOM WITH AN EASY IN CITY, EXCELLENT BRAKING, POWER STEERING IS ACCURATE DOES NOT REQUIRES EFFORT TO STEER.
Final Words
NO PROBLEMS FACED TILL NOW,GO FOR IT. IS WORTH THE THIRTEEN THOSAND EXTRA YOU PAY THAN ALTO LXI WHICH COST 3,33,000 IN PUNE WHERE AS EON ERA NOW (DLITE+) COST 3.45.153 ON ROAD ITS WORTH IT.

Exterior Superb. It's look is superb compared to other less valve cars.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) More spaceous than alto and it has more leg space and high comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is not so good and not so bad,it has more fuel efficiency, little difficult with gear changing.
Ride Quality & Handling Average handling and ride quality.
Final Words Overall it's a grt car. only the negative that can be projected is it's low power, other than that it is a nys car.
Areas of improvement Reduce the cost and to increase the power, On the test drive i feel the same experience that mentioned above. it's so smooth and easy of driving, also it has more leg space than any other model with this price. after a test drive i booked the car and now I am waiting for the eon. I suggest all my friends those are willing to buy a new car to select the eon.

Exterior Good looks, elegant.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) So so.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Even at neutral the gear lever handle vibrates. At each gear it vibrates and hand vibrates. Might lead to hand permanent disabilty. It is a safety & health hazard for those who use car frequently and on busy roads.
Ride Quality & Handling It has power steering but it is stiff, unlike other power steerings on other cars which are smooth like butter. Very uneasy while driving due to vibrating gear lever handle. Now-a-days no car has vibrating gear handles, but this model has. It is a health hazard and hence I am repenting buying this model.
Final Words Unless its gear lever handle is made vibration free, this car should be banned due ot health hazard (you might damage your left hand veins).
Areas of improvement Eliminate gear lever handle vibrations. Power steering to be smoothened to compete with other cars. I purchased the car for my daughter but was very disappointed when I returned from abroad and drove her car. First experience was its steering wheel which was damn hard. I felt sorry for the daughter. Then I noticed its gear lever handle was vibrating which was not acceptable to me. I took the car to Hyundai where it was purchased. The people there first tried to convince me that whatever I was complaining was very normal for all cars and that there was no such defect. Upon insistance, they loosened some nut of steering and declared it very smooth. I wanted complaint card for Hyundai but they did not give it to me, instead assured that they will report to Hyundai on my behalf and packed me away.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good, it is got good interior. Good very good leg space, boot space, and for the back seater also it was god enough space like i20 as compare to small segment cars like alto.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear was always shaking when driving.
Ride Quality & Handling For riding it is good. very good driving comfort in term of road clearance, enough leg space, Ac was very good for front and back siter.
Final Words As per my suggession, it is not a very good for family interms of money as compare to alto K10 in all the ways.
Areas of improvement While shifting the gear it is very harder and the gear was always shaking. car was bit noise. we are expecting the low end car as per the alto lxi 800 cc specification for the same rate.
Note to the customer:
Wait for 6 month for purchasing this car, because lot of rectification was required in terms of engine performance, as per my knowledge new release fo Hyundai cars always have some problem. see the back review fo all Hyundai cars.
