Hyundai Creta [2017-2018] User Reviews

I have booked Eplus 1.4 CRDI Creta from Ahmedabad Shivalik Hyundai S.G.Highway in 8-May-17 and delivery was promised in Jul17. During delivery when I asked to install FOG Lamps , dealer told me there is no wiring provided for installing FOG Lamp in this version which was not told while taking bookings two months back. Infact they promised to install all accessories as I have opted along with Fog lamp like chrome grill and so. Now dealer is not owning warranty as FOG Lamo installation provision is not provided by Hyundai. I believe this is big FRAUD by Hyundai and it's dealers not mentioning that E plus model is not having this minimun SAFETY feature. At least such vehicle deserves this minimum feature and they should provide integrated wiring provision so that Customers can get it installed. This should be well informed to every customer before taking bookings that this model is incomplete and does not have this safety feature installation provision.

bought creta e+diesel for 11 lakh. upgraded the accessories from local market. overall performance is great. 0 to 100 in 12.5 seconds. great highway cruiser at 100 + speed.. looks are very great ..interior is very good. verdict .. buy e+ instead of any other model .upgrade yr car from yr local market . u can save ton of money. 1.4 and 1.6 are same engine . only there difference in turbo charger ie vgt

Exterior Good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent. Great space and sitting comfort. Height adjustable driver seat. 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link and Arkamys Sound Mood System functionalities. Comfort is very-very good enough for 4 people. Spacious legroom at the back also but, for the 5th passenger might have to squeeze a little in the rear. But legroom is superb no doubt, front seats are awesome for the driver and passenger seats. Big seats comfortable for both long or short journeys.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good. Mileage is around 12 KMPL on highways. Steering is very light and gear shifting is very easy.

Ride Quality & Handling Good control on high speed. Due to 6 forward gears, it will be confusing initially as reverse needs to be handled by pushing a button under gear stick.

Final Words Missing some basic features like auto door lock, cruise control, auto folding of side mirrors. Maruti Brezza has more features than this SUV with around 2 lac less and more fuel efficiency.

Areas of improvement It should have basic safety features. Cost is very high as competitors with fewer features. Auto door lock is a normal safety feature and I didn't ask while purchasing.

Ride Quality & Handling  IT HAS THE WORST HANDLING.

Final Words I BOUGHT MY CAR 9 MONTHS BACK & THE AIR CONDITIONER HAS STOPPED WORKING BECAUSE OF SOME MANUFACTURING DEFECTS. I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE LAST 7 DAYS FOR THE PARTS TO BE CHANGED.

AGAIN I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE SERVICE CENTRE TO WAIT FOR NEXT 7 DAYS FOR THE PART TO COME AS THE PART IS IN SHORTAGE FROM THE COMPANY END.

I PLEASE REQUEST HYUNDAI TO KINDLY RECTIFY THE PROBLEM ASAP AS IT BECOMES VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE THE CAR IN VERY HOT AND SUMMER DAYS.

Areas of improvement IF THERE IS ANY MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THE CAR THEN THE CO. MUST HAVE A PROVISION TO PROVIDE A BACKUP VEHICLE AS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT SUFFER FOR SO MANY DAYS.

HYUNDAI MUST IMPROVE ITS SPARE PARTS DIVISION AS THE PART AGAINST ANY MANUFACTURING DEFECT MUST NOT BE IN SHORTAGE FOR SO LONG.

ONLY THE FUEL ECONOMYTHE CAR HAS MANUFACTURING DEFECTS

Hyundai, wake up and smell the Humus! You need to better manage your Dealers/Agents. My new 2017 CRETA HAS A STEERING DEFECT OF WHICH YOUR DEALER IS AWARE. SAID STEERING DEFECT CAUSED TWO MAJOR ACCIDENTS PLUS A NEAR ACCIDENT EVENT. MY NEW CAR HAS BEEN IN YOUR DEALER's Garage for more than four months with no end in sight. Your Dealer and his Master mechanic are not honoring your warranty nor are they concerned about your Brand Name.

I am omitting Dealer's name for a good reason. However, if you care enough, I shall provide you with copies of my paperwork.

I filed several complaints with various governmental agencies of that certain country in the Middle East. Meanwhile, I have spent a whole lot of money on car rental already, while my new car is wasting away at your Dealer's Repair Shop.

Hyundai does have documented problems with STEERING DEFECTS as documented by whistleblower Mr. Kim, Hyundai's design and quality control engineer for twenty five years.

LooksSteering Manufacturing Defects, Poor Dealer Service

If someone wants car without considering value for money, than go for it, else this does not give worth to buy. There are so many good options in the market. Guys you need to explore all the options before buying this. I am not saying this is bad but this is not worth for one who wants everything for the car.

Exterior I just love the car from every angle, especially the front end of the car

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I dont know why hyundai has missed out features on this car, smaller  car of this segment have better features. The auto-dimming rvm is sorely missed out and the passenger side key-less door entry. Would have loved if the interior dashboard was all black instead of beigh color.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I get fuel economy of 14-15 kmpl/Ac/city and 20-22kmpl/Ac/Highway .I dont know if only I or else others too feel the gears rubbery, they are not as smooth as they should have been. And the main thing the Clutch wore-off 1 within 8000 kms. got to know from a reliable mechanic outside the ass that Hyundai is not making Clutch assembly spares upto the mark, which results in early wearout of it.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is a bit bouncy, handling is decnt. i have few times noticed that when a take a curve at speed around 50+ on speed breakers or uneven roads, the car fish-tales(loosing its control).

Final Words I have till now done around 15000kms without any niggles exept 1 clutch overhaul,  NVH levels are at its best. But for that price tag you expect some thing more. 

Areas of improvement Include better clutch, seats could have been better and some more features.

Hyundia Creta is a faulty Vehicle and it clutch fails at few kilometer drive. The baisc issue is the upper and lower cylinder of clutch which fails and then they change your full clutch so that they can avoid warranty norms. Cylinder is basically covered in warranty and clutch is not covered under warranty. As the vehicle is in warranty and they need to replace the cylinder free of cost but they change your whole clutch and will take handsome amount of money from you saying that you did not drive the vehiclke proper and were driving with half clutch. Actually it is a faulty vehicle and it clutch cylinder fails and instead of covering it in warranty they change your whole clutch so that they can charge you for the same. I am driving car from last 15 years and never have seen such issue in any car or such behaviour of cheating customers after selling the faulty vehicle. Do note that the isssue is not with clutch but it is with the cylinder.

Exterior Definitely a good looking SUV, and looks even better in black. Heavyv enough doors, good build quality. Perferct sized SUV for city use.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is where it definitely trumps all competition, the interiors are very well laid out and is a nice place to be in. 2 airbags as standard with ABS+BA, OEM speakers are quite good and no need to upgrade. Steering mounted controls, reverse camera and ICE are a breeze to use.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Petrol engine is quite refined and very silent. in Bangalore traffic you can get 8-10 km/l.

Ride Quality & Handling Did a trip on ghats , the car was a joy to drive with enough power. The handling is excellent, and the steering weighs up nicely with speed, and its lighter on slower speeds which is better for city use.

Final Words Overall, very satisfied with the car. As of now its definitely the best package in this segment. Duster and Terrano are disappointing products TBH.

Areas of improvement Speed sensing auto door lock should be added. Fuel economy meter.

Styling, space, build quality, interiors, safety featuresno auto door lock, little expensive, no FE calculator
