Its been 1year and 18000kms since i bought the accent. Its also one of the wisest decisions i had made to buy this car. so lets begin the review...(PLEASE NOTE THAT ITS BASED PURELY ON THE MONEY YOU SPEND ON A MIDSIZE VEHICLE SO DON'T GO AROUND COMPARING WITH HIGHER END MODELS)
Looks wise the Accent is very goodlooking, nothing flamboyant but very simple clean and muscular with a nice low look. The interiors and nice and refreshing in the beige colour. The seats are comfortable and quality of the plastics are good. If only they could have used brighter bulbs for the backlit dashboard. the tiltable steering and headlight leveling features are very useful.
Performance wise this car is light and quick, its very easy to drive and has a good 1st and 2nd gear power, the 3rd gear could have been a little shorter to improve the power. Fuel economy is not very good, when i bought the car it gave me only 7km in the city with a/c on. but after a few changes and modifications it now gives me 9km.
Ride and handling are superb that is if you upgrade on the tire and rim size. but even on the originals its fine for everyday commute.
Overall if you plan to move up from a small car or hatchback then this is the car for you. for the money you spend you are getting a car with power tiltable steering, power windows, central locking, A/c and heater, excellent performance and comfort and alot of small but pleasant surprises which you would not think that you would get for this much money.
An All rounder. Very easy to drive. Fantastic value for moneyFuel economy
