Exterior Viva Petrol has always been a stunner with its looks during the days it was lauched..Its Hatch type boot door always facinated many..Though I bought a forest dew, which was very fast moving during the days it was launched red gives it more sporty stance..Though i would love to paint my car in yellow (same as Lancer or New Figo) or Spring Green (as in Micra) which will give it more sporty stance given its fiber front grille.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good, but the one i bought did not have drivers seat in good conditions. The center console is easy to operate however I find the wiper lever to be bit more in lenght as I often accidentally hit it while taking turns in a jiffy. There is plenty of space for both front and back passangers however if you have every one 6ft tall in the group then rear passenger might fall short of leg room. Under thigh support is not so good considering the low seating positions. However the rear seat can easily accomodate 4 people if there are 3 avg adults and 1 lean person plus an infant (personal exp) that too with comfort. Boot space is good enough for a weekend as well as a weeks trip. If you are only 2 persons travelling then the rear seat can be collapse to give you more space for luggage. I used it as a pickup when i was shifiting my house :P
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine was quite smooth considering the fact that i bought a used one which had done more than 50k on ODO (might be 70k if i assume ODO temper). Gear shifts are bit hard however comfortable. Fuel eco i get is 10 kmpl in city with 40% on AC. On Highways its 15 kmpl with 50% AC. Also it climbed the gradients of Nilgiris quite comfortablly while my drive to Ooty (those 20sme hairpins).
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is quite good in city as well as highways. Steering is light and car is quite easy to manouver in bumper to bumper city traffic (like in Bangalore). Also it felt grounded on hight speeds (90-100 kmph) on highways as well, and braking as well is efffective.
Final Words Its a good buy as a used vehicle if you like a performance car and are not much worried about the FE in City. Truely a pleasure to drive car for any short or long trips.
Areas of improvement Maintenance is bit high, however this could be becoz I bought it as used vehicle and the previous owner might not have bothered to fix few problems. But parts cost more as this is discontinued vehicle. I have shelled out about 25k on servicing in 2 years with the car, and another 30k yet to putin for an oil sump (current one is badly beaten from underbody) and suspension struts might need replacement by next year.

Exterior Looks Very Handsome and I could say Masculine. Neat Finish and Stylish Exterior. Looks big and strong and long too.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Its very comfortable at the driver seat (I dont know the rest as I dont take any other seat especially in this car).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is superbly responsive, FE is on lower side, Gearbox is very smooth and comfortable. The Gearbox is feather touch which is surprisingly pleasant as the car is big and heavy.
Ride Quality & Handling Both Ride quality and Handling are very satisfying. It gives a "Feel Good" feeling every time. The car is very easy to handle and also it turns in small radius for a long sedan. The Steering is very powerful and the car is a pleasure to drive. I have driven this many times to Pune from Mumbai on the expressway and this car is so easy to drive.
Final Words I feel very satisfied at having purchased this car after trying out many sedans. Most of the other cars were not so easy to handle especially the gear changing was a bother in other cars in traffic.
Areas of improvement The Auto-Lock has some issue. The car gives a siren without any reason at all and I had to rush many times to silence it at the parking lot. So the desi-solution is to lock it manually at the central lock or with manual key. Dont use the Auto-Lock to lock it. I dunno whether this problem is limited to my unit or a general problem.
I also feel that Hyundai could consider to introduce the Accent Viva model. I feel it looks better.

Hi
This happens to be my first review on carwale. I bought Hyundai Accent(Executive) in May'09 after a well detailed research.
Initially I wanted a brand other than Hyundai as the car which i was driving curently was Santro so thought it would be a good change. My budget was 6 lacs. I tried various options from Chevy Aveo,DZIRE,Ford IKON etc. Finally I thought of giving a try to Accent Executive(on dad's persistence!!).
Well though other cars are good too but when I drove Accent i just simply loved it. It's too smooth on comparison with it compatriots like DZIRE(good car but somehow the rear isn't that attactive, also engine is 1.3 only) , IKON(fuel guzzeller and add to it the maintainence..phew!) , Aveo(good car but GM busted!!).
Accent had no issues like above. It has less maintainence compared others. The executive model has come up with new wooden interiors which look great with beige dashboard. Also the leather top steering and leather top gear adds to the comfort. The car just cruises along. The Air conditioner is tooo effective. Chills the cars in minutes.
The only con which i can see is that ground clearance is low which sometimes is a concern while driving on very rough tracks(which one doesn't encounter in city). Since it's been only 2 months I bought the car so can't comment much on the avg part. Most imp it is a great value for money!!
Cheers
Anurag

Exterior Good looking Exteriors. Mine is the White car. Looking like a BMW in the night.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Rear Defogger, AC, 4 Door Power Windows, Child Safety locks, Front Cup holders, Smooth Gear shift and comfortable seats excluding the lack of height adjustment.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Here comes the advantage and a disadvantage with the car. We all know that as Engine cc increases the mileage decreases. I am maintaing on LPG, so that i am not getting relief because presen LPG is at the cost of Diesel only. It means that i am running a petrol car with diesel cost. But talking about the advantage and disadvantage. The main advantage is when compared with the present cars people say that Accent is outdated model in looks etc. First you compare your's car with the Accent. Does your car has a 1500 cc engine with an excellent pickup either on Petrol or CNG or LPG? My accent gives it. Your car gives a mileage and no performance, likewise my Accent gives me the performance but not the mileage. I faced this situation a lot. Many people asks me for the mileage, when i say Average mileage of 10, they compare with the Swift, etc. Accent is a sedan with good looking luxurious model and with a lot of boot space and with high performance. It is universal truth that mileage decreases when the Engine cc is high. I want to suggest that if you want mileage then go for the Nano in which you should do haulting journey in a long trip. But don't say that Accent is not a good car. Me too bought Accent believing the dealer's words. He said that the mileage is about 17 or 18. But it is fair for a 1500 CC Car. I get Average mileage of 10kmpl i.e same on the petrol and LPG.
Ride Quality & Handling As I mentioned in my above story it's a 1500CC. Then imagine riding quality. It's just awesome. Other cars may overtake me on the highway but they cannot compete with me and my accent when speed breaker comes. That my accent's pickup...Got it!!!
Final Words Good Value for money, but I think it should have continued in the sales. Unfortunately Hyundai discountinued it.
Areas of improvement If Accent is in the market i would suggest to modify the exterior because now a days people are going for other cars because of the exterior looking only. Exterior and minor interior with other Airbag, ABS, Seat height adjustment system, etc will make accent a good competetor with other cars.

Exterior Smoot,attractive & Pleasing.
Interior Features, Space & Comfort Each & evey thing inside the cabin is excellant, nicely & pricesly designed & built. Nobodycan carry a few elephants in a in the Smsonite brief case. A lot of people dont understand the meaning of Luxery.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I had owned a Lancer, an Esteme, Maruti Gypsy, M800 & a Logan [short period]. Comparing to all thse [except Lancer] This Accent is a any day superlative car & no regretts at all. Regading the cars' Gear Box, The smoost unit [in the indian automobile history] The geart box is the Greased Lightening.
Ride Quality & Handling Everything is Excellant *****
Final Words There is only one word, it is an excellant & well built car ***** that returns 12.5 Kpl with A/C on.
Areas of improvement Body Rusting is very quick. Especially more & faster rusting for those are near sea shore area or annex to to this area. Pricisly 2Kms away from the sea. Factory must give a couple of extra anti rust coating.
In tis aspect The MARUTI has beaten the HYUNDAI. I am sorry to mention this because my maruti cars which i had [above mentioned] never rusted Quickly as the ACCENT. the. This my 2nd Accent in 3 yrs.
This is an excellant middle & Upper Middle Class car.

Hello, I purchased new Accent Executive in 2008 end when hyundai newly lauched accent executive version. It has solid performance. I fitted CNG kit on its very 2nd day of purchase as i trust on car's performance. And I got average of 11.4 on petrol and 20 on CNG. I recommand this car to purchase, Its a value for Money.
Exterior Good and bold looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good executive look as wooden finish coupled with lathered interiors, lower space for back siders.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Awasome performance & power. I got 11.4 average in Petrol & In CNG got average of 20.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth ride with making noise.
Final Words Really Value for Money Car... should Buy because it has power, style, performance and executive looks just compared to other showey entry level sedans such as Mahindra Logan (now varito, Tata Indigo E CS) cars.
Areas of improvement Should improve on its image as it is outdated and out of fashion car. Give latest sedan feture looks.
good style, engine, power, smooth driving experiencelow ground clearance, needs refresh look just like latest sedan cars.

I had a Tornado model. Pick up and seating position are superb. You can drive for hours. The drivers view is wide and big making it very safe while turning and parking. Engine is powerful enough for Indian roads and can touch 160 easily without any hassles. Have done so many times on the Bangalore Bombay highway. If you think thats still not fast enough for you then you should be in F1 racing ;-)
It has been in production for well over 10 years and has an image unlike many other launch and dissapear type of cars. Has proved its mettle in the west as well. Affordable and classy. Buy and forget type of car.
Accent gives complete value for each penny spent in terms of feature. Otherwise, you can challenge me with single car brand which gives features equivalent to Accent (all four power windows, power steering, large boot space, 1.5 Litre Engine) in 5L range. Paying 10 k - 20 K for each extra feature pinches for cars like i-10, i-20.
The performance and pick up wise car is nice owing to its 1500 CC engine. The AC is extremely efficient and car is good for long drives. The Diesel version of this car was high hit among consumers and I really could not understand Hyundai’s logic for withdrawing the diesel version.
