Let me start with what led me to select the WRV. I previously owned an Honda City and VW Vento. I sold my City and bought a Honda BRV and was on a lookout for replacing my Vento as well. I needed something that gave me a decent mileage; a higher seating position than my Vento; spacious interiors and safe reliable vehicle. I test drove Ford Eco sport; Hyundai I20; Maruti Brezza and Honda WRV. I finally went for Honda WRV for the following reasons. WRV gets an edge over the competition in terms of 2nd row space. Leg room and width is phenomenal. Mileage is at par with the competition which stands at 25-26kmpl for the diesel variant exclusvely on highways whereas I get about 17-19 kmpl on city roads. Maneuverability is better compared to all.Accurate turns and smaller turning radius is a big help in cities like Pune where I live. Only closest competitor for the above was Brezza. While the top end WRV does get a lot of goodies like sunroof; touch screen infotainment; center console armrest, I went for an Alive edition as my car was mostly chauffer driven and meant for travel for my parents who dont play with that stuff much. The Alive edition though comes with rear view parking camera and leather trim, so thats something I love too. When compared these features with the competition, WRV is very cost effective and closest one is Hyundai I20. Helped me to stick around my budget of 10L with just the feattures that I needed. Talking about seating comfort, the I must agree that Ford gives the best experience in terms of back and cushion support, but WRV clearly gives better support in 2nd row. Being a diesel engine, the WRV performs much better at higher speeds than lower gear ratios. For maximum city drives, I20 would be better IMO. The visibility needs much appreciation as blind spots can be easily avoided by smart placement of A-pillars & B-Pillars. A regular driver will surely know what it means. A big let down in Brezza and Eco sport. Also, Honda engines are well known for their longevity and reliability. For a more better performance, one can opt for the legendary I-VTEC. The stick shifting is easy on and smooth on WRV and at par with the competition. The ground clearance is also adequate and the over designed speed breakers in Pune couldnt touch my cars underbody as was the case with Vento. Even Ford does better in this case. The Boot space is humongous compared to all the rivals. Others give you nothing compared to WRV. Trust me thats a huge scoring point. Talking about sales experience and my first free servicing, Deccan Honda Pune gave me decent discounts while buying WRV and after sales support has also been prompt in helping me add some aftermarket accessories. The exteriors is an perception but I fell in love with the design compared to the box shaped cars in the competition. The beefed up bonnet sets it apart from the regular lizard faced cars running around on the roads. Adding the exterior kit makes it look even more better and bulkier. Though I would term WRV as more of an crossover than a regular compact SUV. Will list some cons for WRV. The Interiors or dashboard could have been much better on variant below top end. Touch screen infotainment system can be expected for a price tag of 10L. Cabin noise is evident at lower gear ratios. Armrest is missing for both driver and passenger, which is very helpful for long drives. Top end though provides a driver armrest. To conclude, the WRV ticked the right boxes based on my needs and I am very happy Honda customer - for the 3rd time AGAIN!!

I bought Honda WRV iDtec as Honda is known for its quality and customer satisfaction. But after driving 200 KM's the cars malfunction light starts glowing and I had to give car at service centre. At service centre service advisor told that there is some problem which are not able to identify so contacted Honda for guidance. 3 days ....I got no response. Now let's look at the Car.. Pros: 1. Nice look but not best and spacious cabin. 2. Steering is really light. 3. If you are a steady driver then this car is for you. 3. NO turbo lag and power delivery is linear. 4. Better for smooth and long drive. 5. Good interior and comfortable seats. 6. And the best thing is milage, in city you can get 20+ in normal traffic and on highway it gives a whopping 25+(Non AC, 2 people). Cons: 1. IDtec is really noisy engine producing lot of low frequency noise which is a bit irritating. 2. Gear shift is hard and not as smooth as Hyundai i20 or Verna. 3. Pick up is linear not as fast as Hyundai. 4. Hyundai diesel engines are really far better than IDtec. 5. The power which you feel in CRDI will never provided by iDtec. So the only fact to decide Honda vs Hyundai is.... * Smooth driving, linear acceleration & good mileage...Buy Honda * Punchier Driving, Fast acceleration, Refined Engine, average mileage....buy Hyundai.

I bought WRV Alive Edition in Nov 2018 only due to Brand Value of Honda. But when I started drive the car...I find following things.. * Ample space * Good interior * Good Control..... * Honda Brand Value * Nice looking car and good for family. But if see the technical specifications.... Then car has linear torque delivery but engine is too noisy. The only best thing about car is its mileage. # initial 200 km of driving in city and highway 40:60 (less traffic in city and with 2 people) I got 21.4 Kmpl (without ac & normal driving) # again 150 km of driving in city and highway 20:80 i got a whopping 27.5 Kmpl. (Without ac and with 2 people& eco driving).
