Honda Jazz [2015-2018] User Reviews

I bought the new Honda Jazz V model 6 months back and am driving it regularly mostly in city driving but occasionally highway driving.

Exterior Exterior is quite stylish. Looks like a mini Honda City.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is a mini relplica of the Honda City dashboard. Looks quite premium with lots of space inside. Very comfortable to drive and also for co passengers.

Only one issue we noticed - if 3/4 people sit at the back, the people who sit beside windows tend to get a hit at head in the celing as the structure there is a bit awkward near window. So people have to be a little bit careful.

Also Honda should have given the magic seats and headrest at the back seats in V model also.

Except these all other features are good. Lots of space inside and it looks quite airy. Driving is a pleasure.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The VTEC engine is brilliant. There is no noise and it is very smooth. Gearbox performs well although I feel the Hyundai (I used to drive an I10 earlier) gearbox is a bit more smooth. There is one issue though - at very low speed, the engine takes a time to pick up (so you have to change more gear shifts), however once the engine is in full rev, you enjoy the beauty of this engine.

Fuel economy is good. I am driving in Kolkata city, and given the very heavy traffic in this city, you tend to get a mileage of 10-12 km/l with AC on. WIthout AC it goes up marginally to 13. You may get more in cities where traffic is a bit less congested. In highway I have got around 16/17 km/l mileage in NH6.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is superb. I have driven both Hyndai new i20 and Voxwagon Polo, I feel honda is equal to both of them (and sometimes higher). The car takes the potholes pretty easily and once in full swing just put your foot off the pedal, no problem.

Final Words Excellent car, with a few suggestions as mentioned above. The V model should have the magic seat and rear seat headrests (given the price), else I am very satisfied.

Exterior Nice looking. Premium look.  Front  view is similar to Honda city model.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Provided lot of interior facility which includes reverse parking camera, Touch AC, Blue tooth connectivity etc. There are so many cup holders inside the car. Also there is a provision for placing smart phone the dash board or in the door itself. Both the front seats are adjustable to convenient of passenger. Driver seat height can be adjusted very easily with less effort.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth and silent running engine. Good mileage both in city(17.5 KM/lit-Petrol) and highway(20.1 KM/lit-Petrol).

Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality. Comfort for travelling.

Final Words Best buy in the hatchback segment. Value for money.

Areas of improvement Spare wheel is smaller in size. may be equipped with R15. Or this option can be given to customer. Price still can be reduced by Rupees 60,000.

Lot of space in every where. Even Boot space is more when compared with Maruti swift Dzire.Spare wheel is smaller size

Exterior Great Styling.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Feature wise the product is well and upmarket, Great space and can easily fit 5 with comfort and has a great luggage compartment for a vacation. Comfort is really great.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engline performance is too sluggish. Feels very low on pick up. you dont feel like revving the car beyond 120 kmph as you would feel the engine. The AC is poor for the size of the car. Cannot keep the car cool at 35'C as you would still sweat. on a regular city drive the car is really great as it gives you a great milege and on highway if you can drive it at a speed of 80-100 kmph then you can get milege of more than 21KMPL. Suprising but thats the fact. You will hate the car at Ghat Sections with traffic behing you honking. Not sure about diesel but petrol performance at these locations is bad and even more bad if you are driving with AC on.

Ride Quality & Handling Amazing ride quality and handling. Its nothing less than a civic. Just mind blowing. A Family car and not exactly a car for youngsters with love for some action.

Areas of improvement Engine performance. I am a user of swift and punto and i thought punto lacks power but this car lacks even lesser that punto.

 Loved it, very premium look. In the sunset orange colour it looks so much attractive and sexy. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

  very spacious and comfortable, Touch AC, Bluetooth, sound systems are good. There are around 9-10 cup/bottle holders. Specially I loved hug front mirror and spacious cabin, just loved it.

reverse parking camera performance very well in both day and night mode.The dashboard is very similar to the Honda city's and the quality of the plastics also feel very similar.

Magic Seats are only limited to the top spec VX trim 😦 and Price can be reduced.                                                       

 

Nice looking car in its segment, very much spacious,also have very good fuel efficiency &Honda brandprice slightly higher then its competitors, offering magic seats only for VX model

Buying car at honda is alway very pleasurable. Honda is pride... Everyone is proud to have a Honda car. No car can offer you smoother experience than this car in this segment. Looks is a subjective matter. Performance is mind blowing at high speed. Overtaking at 100kmph is like engine will not feel lagging or anything. Engine will still punch even at 100kmph . Honda cars are average in servicing and maintenance. Prices are not that higher. Pros-great space, premium cabin, overtaking, honda, all basic useful feature, magic seats. Cons-high price being honda, lacks few features compared to i20.

Exterior  - Honda Jazz exteriors are good, very sporty and looks tough too.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - Interioir plastic quality is top class, resembles a lot like Honda City. Very spacious and comfortable. Cabin insulation is top class and there is no outside sound entering the cabin while driving. Really a very premium finish and top class interiors.  Doors and windows looks strong. we can hear a thud while closong the doors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - Very Smooth engine, smooth gear shifting, decen fuel economy of 14kmpl, as the first servicing is still due. hope this figure would improve post that. 

Ride Quality & Handling - Excellant pickup and smooth ride. suspension is very good, soaks up the bups quite well, better than Brio and amaze.

Final Words Great premium hatch back to go for. Hyundai and Maruti feeling the heat. all the best maruti for the new Baleno, you are up against the Honda monster.

Areas of improvement Start Stop button, Rare AC vents and horns.

Very good space, comfortable ride, little lower acceleration rate but good performance. Mileage at around 18km/l in petrol on highway but local average around 12km/l. Maintenance free till yet other than regular service.

looks very sporty from outside, the headlight is the same as in honda city which adds  a feel  of primiumness in the car

this is where jazz impresses you get so many features like automatic climate control touchscreen AC controls  and  a touchscreen with bluetooth usb aux and i pod compatibility very premium features . it is a honda city in the body of a hatchback

the i vtec engine reall impresses what a great fuel economy it  gives around 15-16 in city and 18 on highway and the gear box is also very lightweight

the best car ever made it is for thsoe who want a sporty, feature packed, premium, car with good fuel economy. it is very affordable do buy this car it is the best car ever made

Exterior Nice, looks sporty

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice. Bit flaw in back seat where side part is not covered with leather plastic and attracts dust.

Sound while mirrors are folding - some times motor doesnt work properly and it gets stuck in between.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Mileage is poor, getting almost 11 KMPL after driving 1000 KMs though most of it was on highway (almost 600). Problem in gear box mostly in reverse gear that stucks most of the times.

Ride Quality & Handling Good. Car doesnt auto lock after crossing a particular speed which should be in the base version or should be locked on start of ignition.

Final Words Good to buy if dont care about mileage

Areas of improvement Start/Stop button, Parking Sensor and AVN from at least V model. Should have parking light sensor, parking sensor should be must, camera can not be replacement for same. Smooth folding of side mirror, and option of auto fold when car is centrally locked just like premium cars.
