Its looks good, damn good but still a US based auto magazine gave the CR-V 2007 an award for the ugliest make-over of a car as compared to its previous version, wondering why?? Because they call it a SUV and it doesn't look like SUV and doesn't feels like one. It feels like a sedan and according to me thats good instead of having that heavy SUV feel but this refinement is coming at a price, firstly the cost of buying it is high(more than double of what it costs in US and other countries) and running it will also put a big dent in the pocket, as for the fuel effciency, just around 8.5kpl in city. The car has very nice and cosy interiors, it seats only five but the rear seats are movable, the fuel tank is under the fronts seats, thats why. The automatic version is effortless and for the manual, the gearshift cannot be at a more appropriate position and that too is very easy to use. The engine is very refined, responsive, and the car is very desirable. Available in many new colours. A good product to buy, but delicate for off-roading, atleast feels delicate. Its a HONDA product, very refinedOver priced!!

Brand new vehicle.  Owned it a total of 20 days.  The hesitation/vibration problem is noticeable (intermittent shuddering as if a wheel is out of alignment, but related to the newly designed CRV transmission, a problem common to all CRV 2015 that does not yet have a fix) but what really stunned me was a sudden extremely high rev when going down a small hill. I was braking lightly at the time. (Service told me that the transmission downshifts on hills, so, using the brake caused this. ??!!) It didn't last long, but the engine raced so completely out of control that the vehicle did not feel safe, and one had the sense that motion had seized up, although it kept moving. The noise was incredible. It didn't happen for a while, and I assumed it was due to using the brake on a hill. (I stopped using the brake on hills and noticed that the transmission didn't always downshift, sometimes it shifted UP as the vehicle gained speed! What to do...) I brought the vehicle in to service about the vibration issue over a week later, and was told that all CRV 2015 have this vibration issue and there's no fix yet. I left cheerfully enough, and driving home, the surge/rev happened AGAIN, going UP a hill, with no use of the brake. I called my salesman, and the next morning returned the vehicle to the dealership and asked for my money back, because the car is not safe to drive. He wouldn't give my money back until this problem is proven by a Honda Canada engineer on this OR ON ANOTHER CRV 2015 VEHICLE. I left the car there. CANADIANS-- I NEED YOUR HELP IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM! See the CRV forum and find me there. I owned it for 20 days, a little over 1000K (500 miles). The surge/rev problem only occurred twice, on WINDING HILLY ROADS. The vibration/hesitation problem happens anywhere, but is more pronounced on winding hilly roads.

Back roomExtreme surge/rev throws car out of control.

Exterior The SUV looks really good. The opinion on looks is subjective to the concerned.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The SUV is very very comfortable.I have had feedbacks from who ever got in.I dint ask for the feed back at all. That is explanative enough how the comforts are.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox You have to experience the surge it offers on the Sport mode.It is real fun...The paddle shift on sport mode will let you use the machine in a more softer way than the sport mode automatic.By using the paddle shift on the sport mode we can derive the mileage out of the SUV. The drive mode is really smooth & gives the best mileage.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride is very very comfy. It makes so much sense to use in the city & fun even if a 4 wheel drive is necessary.

Final Words I would pit a CRV against an Audi Q5.How many of us use a Q5 for off reading? Rupees Thirty Lakhs is what a Q 5 costs more than a CRV. I would rather have the extra 30 Lakhs as a fixed deposit in a bank & pay my extra cost of fuel of a petrol rather than the diesel Q 5. The govt is also going to decontrol the fuel costs. The difference between petrol & diesel is going to get lesser. Besides that the maintenance of a Honda is any day lesser than the German cars.

It makes a joker out of any one using a muscular Fortuner to just to go to his office or a mall or a restaurant or a movie. Those are the places normally one would be doing very often. It makes so much sense to use a soft reader!

Areas of improvement Provide a diesel for the diesel conscious Indians.

Value for moneyMiss a diesel though

Exterior Amazing finish. The tail gives it a stylish look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors are very plush with leather seats and the digital dashboard. There could have been a place to keep the tissue box.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is smooth as ever. Since I bought an automatic, the gear box is no hastle. The fuel economoy could be the only sore point but at 8km i wont complain too much.

Ride Quality & Handling Rides like a horse on the road. Its one of the best for a family of four.

Final Words I always dreamt to own a CRV and felt like a proud owner instantly. Gives you a very different feeling.

Areas of improvement The light feetings and the music system could have been a tad better. A 25 lacs car deserves a little more indulgence. In case they would have installed the navigation, it would have made the experience even better.

The driving pleasure. The interiors are top class. The engine dont make any sound. The mileage could be an issue. It showed 8 km/lt, which is not too bad

Exterior The car looks as an elegant and smart machine with sporty looks and a solid body and the car is aerodynamical as well and it suites to be anywhere may it be the highway or a party.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The car is quite comfortable and is loaded with essential safety features as well and the space is fine but the car could have more features and entertainment kits due to its price.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is smooth refined and fun to drive and performance is fair too whole fuel economy is really poor but the gearbox is fun to handle.

Ride Quality & Handling Awesoooome. Ride quality is as good as u might feel the car is light and comfy and handling is also very nice.

Final Words The car is the best if u want a petrol SUV under 30 lakh.

Areas of improvement Performance could be better and the car desperately needs to improve in fuel economy.

Refined engine which is fun to drive and looks are awesomeFuel economy is poor and acceleration is not adequete

Exterior All good . this is my third CRV and they just keep imroving . Externally car looks good and works well

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space, comfort and general feel are all excellent but this i swhere the main issue is. In an attempt to put new features in there is a plethora of alarms and lights, the infotainment system is complicated and needs much button pressing to get round sound overly complex menus. its the Windows 8 syndrome where designers feel they have to do something different and end up making it wrse. a real shame. Top of the list i sthe SATNAV which is by Garmin and probably the worst I have ever used.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox the petrol engine is a dream around town , simply purrs along and gives a credible 30mpg but on th eopen road you have to drive it hard for it to perform. the auto gearbox is poor and thank goodness for the paddles that allows one to really gain some power when its needed by manually changing gears. Most off putting is at high speed on cruise control where the engine finds hills hard work and suddenly drops to third gear. Ok  its revs nicely to peak perfromance around 4000rpm but its noisy and reall takes one bu surprise to start with. Overall MPG quite good and about on the money for what is uqoted. i am amanaging 35mpg for most trips.

Ride Quality & Handling all excellent , a very comfy car and holds the road well. eeven of road on muddy farm tracks it perfromas well. Its no Land rover but it will still see you happily up a slippery track or across undulating grass fields.

Final Words I am satisfied rather than delighted. The main issue is the technology that has just become far too busy inside the cabin. the petrol engine performs well but you have to drive it despite the auto gearbox . Overall a very good car look fo rthe offers to make it worthwhile.

      Exterior

CRV has decent exterior styling. The lines, the uplifted grills, mirrors, 17" tires give a macho look to it. The sliding roofline ensures it doesnt look like truck (e.g. Ford Endeavour, Fortuner, etc). The sunroof adds to the premium-ness of the car.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Interiors are luxurious, may be not as much as a Jaguar, but surely looks upper class. The beige-black combination gives a elegant look. The instrument cluster is also impressive (typical honda!). Arm-rests are usable and helps in long-haul drives.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

I personally found the engine to be underpowered despite of the numbers like 2.4L 160bhp. Ofcourse this being a petrol engine will not give a torque at the low range like the diesel does, but for a car of this size and looks, I would have expected more power. A corolla or a civic can easily overtake a CRV when the green lights come to life. Gearbox is the same as that of accord and the overall refinement that you get is simply amazing.

My CRV (manual) has given me mileage of 10.5+ in city and on highway it is upto 14. For a car of this size I would say these are decent numbers. I have heard that the automatic version really sucks at mileage..

      Ride Quality & Handling

Handling is good. The ride is a bit bumpy but its a soft-roader to live with it. I could take expressway long turns at 120kmph without any problem so the car holds on to the roads properly. There is no understeer. The bulky tires give enough comfort over bad roads. One can expect a 300km ride without any fatigue, thanks to the petrol engine and the refined power delivery.

      Final Words

CRV is a good soft-roader for people who get irritated by the uneven torque of diesel SUVs. The interiors surely give it a premium feel. I am enjoying my rides in the CRV especially on the highways. It a bit to big for city rider in a city like Pune.

      Areas of improvement

CRV surely needs more power...may be a turbo-charger will help. Right now its like a macho man with a girl-like voice :)
