The car is excellent in interiors.......But the exteriors ie. the rear lights can be changed a bit. but the headlamps are good, dash board is good and the car is very porsh in its style
first I checked fiesta of ford then optra of chevrolet and then the city zx model....Of all i liked optra and city.Comparing to city optra is excellent in every feature like sunshade, shoe tray, beer cooler etc. in optra the fuel economy is also good....But in city the fuel economy is very low also
SO ANYONE WHO CHECKS THIS REVIEW IT WILL BE USELFUL FOR THEM I HOPE........!
the interior is fantastic as well as exteriors are gr8the milage is very low and pick up is less

I got this this month and driven it 1500 kms till now. the car i fell is overprices just because of Honda badge. The spares can be sky high costly as fog lamps cost whooping 19000. .........the gear shift is smoooooooooth and engine refined upto 100km/hr. after 110 the car becomes uncomfortable to drive unless the roads are super smooth. the average i got on my first drive back home was astonishing 16+ with ac but fell to 10 in city. hopefully it should increaseafter 2nd service. interiors are well made and feel built to last. i got 4 yrs warrenty 2+2 for 7500 rupees. the worth mentioning is the tyres. my car came with goodyear gps2 radials and they make a lot of noise on rough surfaces and makes the drive uncomfortable. anyone planning to buy this car should make sure u get bridgestone radials and not good year. im talking to company to get them changed. one more thing that should be mentioned that the service intervals is just 5000kms and 3 month which i feel is very less as most other petrol cars have 10000kms/6 month.
if you look for features aveo 1.6 lt with option wins hands down with air bag and ABS etc etc. even verna xxi is also feature rich. Honda is just for image and prestige. and u should get a good resale when u sell it just pray nothing goes bad after warrenty which can set u back a big amount.
Overall a competent car and recommended for people who want image assiciated with car. nothing faulty in a big way and it sould keep u happy with economy of fuel.

Bought the city in Feb2009, the 10th Anniversary edition. My selection narrowed down to city after a month of research and test drive of different C segment cars and SUVs. Reasons for my selection -
Pros:
- Hassle free maintenance
- Decent car for everyday office and occasional highway rides
- Good fuel Economy
- Comfortable Ride.
I recently drove from Bangalore to Hyderabad and enjoyed the drive. The Car is stable at speeds of 140km/hr. It can take unpaved roads with ease. Car is very comfortable in the city. Some of my colleagues from US came for a visit recently, looked at the car and are really impressed about the practicality, build quality and fuel efficiency.
Cons:
The only con I experienced is the ground clearance. The car fully laden tends to scrape the big speed brakers. I felt the ground clearance should have been 170mm and this will also stamp city perfect car for Indian roads. I experienced this difference when returning from Hyderabad. The tire pressure guy set the tire pressure at 40 instead of 32F/30R and I have not noticed this. While there is no noticeable difference in the ride, I felt quite a difference in handling the big speed brakers along the Hyderabad- Bangalore highway. Car even fully laden took the speed breakers with ease. Only at the next tire pressure check in Bangalore, I noticed the pressure set too high. The tire pressure was reset to standard specification as it will not be safer. If Honda can increase the ground clearance, Honda City would be a perfect car for Indian roads.
Overall: Having driven the different cars in US, I enjoy the Honda City GXI now. It is a great car perfect for everyday office if you want a hassle free, fuel efficient and a practical car. The build quality is great and am sure it will last me a number of years. When compared to cars in the same segment, I definitely recommend city if you can live with the ground clearance. Offcourse the positives are huge as well - reliability, build quality, fuel efficiency compared to ground clearance.
Looks premium like a scaled down accord.Ground clearanceExterior/Styles

I bought the car (City ZX , GXI)based on general reviews and perception
I am totally disappointed with the mileage in city which is never more than 7 km / litre of petrol
Repeated visits to Arya Honda Service ,from whom I bought the car, has yielded no change in fuel average.
The other very poor design element is bright reflection from the dashboard when driving in bright sunlight.
Prior to this, I drove an Indica and this vehicle , for all it's lack of sophistication, was a much better value for money.
I hope people wise-up to the fact that this is a vastly overrated vehicle and I would NEVER recommend it to anybody else.
I would very much appreciate advice from you all as to how I should get better value from my lemon of a car.
Good looks and style. That is all.VERY poor mileage , I am getting max 7 km / lt in city and 11 on HighwayExterior/Styles

Exterior r just gr8. Its really eye catching, I think its the most beautiful car in its segment. Interiors r also very nice, wood finish is very refined on the dashboard really nice interiors, there is a hell lot of space inside the cabin and the cabin is very much sound proof. Its very much comfortable. Infact we went for a holiday on our honda city from patiala to nainital which is about 550 kms and we completed it in about 11-12 hrs. and we were nt that much tired as u expect from a 11-12 hr journey. Though there are a bit less features like it don't have airbags and abs in gxi model bt still its a gr8 car 2 buy. its engine has less power as compared to other cars in its segment. It has 78ps of power, bt still it reaches 0-100 in 11 sec, its fuel economy is also good which is approx. 15 km/lt, and its engine is very very silent, no noise of engine comes in the cabin, handling of this car is quite nice.
My final words about this would be that it is not a driver's car its the car for those guys who want comfort, status symbol, beautiful car, Honda can improve its engine's power. Honda's after sale service is just superb. Though it is a bit costly bt they really care for u and ur car.
