Honda City 4th Generation User Reviews

Firstly i want to tell you that city is very good rather i say excellent car. It is there in the market for past 20 years ago and till now also if anyone chooses to buy a sedan in his mind city comes first because of its style, comfort and luxuriousness. I want to share my story with you all when i had dream to buy a car honestly city is not my favorite rater than Elantra is my favorite car but when i compared prices, features, everything city is far most best car. And i also want to tell you that there is one question in mind of some people that should we buy city petrol ao diesel version , my opinion is that you should buy a petrol version because diesel car needs more Maintainance and shorter life (10years) than petrol car and if you install CNG on your car it becomes like an amazing thing. I myself have city 2018 model and I had. Installed cng on it and my car works perfectly fine and it has past 10 months i am driving city with CNG, one thing CNG is eco-friendly, i know people don't care about the environment but secondly it saves your money also now i had told you everything rest the decision is yours. And now I pen down because long experience becomes boring.

It was a wonderful experience, Honda has been a constant support in the family, we know India needs japanese motor for everyone as it is not too expencive and durable in comparison to the German automobiles such as the vw vento. If I talk only about City then the best part is it comes with CVT option with a Seven speed paddle shifter and it comes in 1500cc which makes it fun to drive along with comfort as it can be customised according to the will of the driver. When we need relaxed driving, sporty driving or even bumper to bumper driving in jams, it is the Honda City which will never break your heart. Most importantly Honda does not butter its customers by giving any discounts or free accessories which may disappoint many customers, and even I got at a point of time, but the thing is Honda knows that their product is not the same as any other in the C segment, and not only in that but I chose City in comparison to the Creta, which is being sold like anything, but personally I dont find Creta anywhere in front of the City, its just that Creta is a bit appealing as I have one in the family but honestly the punch in the motor when we rev the engine it is the City which is limitless. So at the end I would say, City is a bit costly than its competetors but it value for money and once you buy it you will not like any other car.

Exterior Preimum and sporty.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No complains at all.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 1.5 L i-vtec is the bomb its soo thrilling to drive this car on highways. Only the mannual will be fun ( CVT usally have this rubber band effect "all cvts ") and cvt are the most fuel efficent transmisson and the avg kmpl is 7-13 and highway is at 14- 17 , bumper to bumper traffic is 5-8.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is spot on and sporty and ride quality not the smoothest but its quite good. And its fast 0-100 in 10 sec imangine to turbo this bad boy up 0-100 in 4 sec?

Final Words If you want a C-segment seadan will sporty looks and perfromane this the one. But go with petrol because honda has lots of experience in the petrol engine. So go with the petrol only that to manual drive.

Areas of improvement The infotainment needs improvement, and add more gizmo, add heat insulation on the hood, noise level could be reduced.

The suspension is nice and stable at high speeds and the boot and interiors space is largeThe infotainment unit thats the worst part about it

Exterior When comes to exterior, still looks premium and looks on par with rival Hyundai Verna. Nothing much said worng about exterior. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Average Infotainment in CAR, could have installed some quality system. Also, the under quality rear view camera is really looks sad. I bet you, the 1000 rupees worth local camera still give clear night vision view than this dud one. The dah board design looks premium but again under quality material for cost cutting. Good thing is, push on/off button with keyless entry is good. When comes to space, really honda did very good optimised the space more, which is selling point for honda. infact, this reason i switch to honda from verna.seat comfort and raid quality on pumpy road is good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performace is good and very stable and perform well. Fuel economy is ok. i am bit use throttle more often. i used to get 12 in Highway and 10.5 in city. hope, after 1st service will get better. Gear bos design is blunder? I do not believe it. Really, dispointed with gear box with such refined city model. Gear stuck and gear shifting is annoying. Clutch is too tight. I was having verna, gear box and clutch was too smooth. Also, steering wheel is too tight, I d not know why?

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality awesome and very stable at hihg speed. No roll over problem. good cruise control, which saves me foot in highway. thanks for the cruise. 

Final Words I test drive initially both the car Verna and City. After lot of dicusuion with myself, i went to Honda for the brand and refined car. The space and reliability factors, which insist me to go for honda than the verna. Infact, new verna exterior, interior, gear box, cabin noise insulation, infotainment, dashboard, steering, gear shifting were top notch. But, verna is not refined as a honda, when comes to perfomance and longivity.

Areas of improvement

- Hard steering wheel is serious issue for concern. (Never feel power stering it is).

- Gear box is designed to let out a honda to a lot. Stuck when shifting gears.

- Cabin noise need to isolate.

- Hard clutch, hyundai EON has a better clutch and gear box I guess.

- Flimsy gear knob.

- Interior materil needs to imporove.

- Poor quality rear camera with pathetic night vision camera

Overall.

- Cutting the cost to great extend by trimmed down the quality of infotainmant, gearbox, clutch, steering wheel control and interior quality material.

This is my first car in India as I was in Dubai for a long time. I wanted to buy an automatic car in India before 2015 Feb as my wife's delivery was expected in March. But due to some documentation issues to approve loan got delay and I had enough time to test drive the car so finally confirmed Honda City SV CVT is the best among the other cars I drove. Got the car in my hand on 3rd July so the car is just 4 months younger to my first child. So both are my child now :). in terms of performance its very good in this segment in all the aspects and also sleek cute look as well. interior is very spacious but it doesn't have a camera and screen. In terms of servicing, after the 5 free its chargeable like an avg of 10k every six months. I am using this car since July 2015 and till now no issues at all.

Excellent ride of CVT V model. In traffic, CVT is really Veo useful. Its bs6 model comes with digipad 2.0 is also quit useful. This car going to launch even batter model generation 5. Service provided by Honda a Japanese company is Worth to salute.
