Exterior Once you pass that glaring band of chrome you will notice the slim almost delicate headlamps. The long slash lines on the sides make it immediately distinctive. The rear looks fantastic, with taillights that slowly intrude in the boot.They resemble the civic. The thick band of chrome in the front give you an upmarket feel. The tyres look small for this big car though. This car has better suspension than the earler model. It sits more comfortably on the ground.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The backseat is really impressive. enough leg and headroom available. You get 2 power outlets and rear ac vents. honda is trying to wow the people in the front seat too. touchsreen control for airconditioning. cd player returns after customer demand. bluetooth telephony available cheap plastics on the door panel are a let down. the lcd display looks small in its black surround. the aic control looks a bit foggy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Slick gearbox. engine little breathless but once on 6th gear it is a comfortable ride. mileage of 18kmpl for diesel is aweswome. cvt more efficient than the manual. ride ok after passing the 40-50km/h mark.
Ride Quality & Handling Great ride. silky smooth engine. though a bit noisy. smoothy and linear electric sterring assists driving. cluth is light.
Final Words Honda city is back with a bang. 1 airbag is availablre in base variant and dual airbags above that. competitively priced to take its competition head on. more of a facelift rather than new ALTOGETHER.
Areas of improvement
1. Engie refinement.
2. Skiiny tyres.
3. Softer plastics on the door panels.
4. Bold chrome grille might not suit to all tastes.
