Exterior Exteriors are appealing but you loose the craze when there are actually so many of them on road, it is quite a common car of its segment with large sales.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Almost all features of luxury car are missing comapred to hyundai verna fluidic it is belittled in features at lesser cost and a more powerful engine.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel Economy is quite appreciable compared to other cars of this segment but the gearbox is a trouble at times, inappropriate clutch pressure may disturb gear box at times.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is awesome but the visibility from driver's seat for the opposite end is poor and you may need time to adapt to its visibility.

Final Words If you are looking for the brand "Honda City", i 'd say there are better cars available at cheaper costs, consider Verna 2011 fluidic and SX4.

Areas of improvement Start with adding more features like automatic folding rearview mirrors, airbags and better console.

Fuel Economy, Easy and Cheap Maintenance, Brand Value in its classNo extra features, less power for cost

Exterior When HONDA CITY is on the road you better watch your steps. Cars like octavia, corolla and Civic feel envious to the Crspy Honda City, If you are planning for EMT, you can fit all VMT's accessories in EMT at very reasonable and cheaper rates compared to the price difference between EMT and VMT.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Decent Gray-Black duel Interiors. Good plastic quality. The car is has ample of leg room on both front and back side.No music system in EMT. Boot is huge 500 ltrs. I wud NOT recommend to have the music system that comes with SMT and VMT. It is distorted on higher volume. Music system has no CD/DVD input option. Its better to Buy EMT and plugin amazing music system of your choice.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1.5 Ltrs engine is giving 118 BHP power and 12 km/ltr average in city, whatelse u want. This car dares you to push harder and harder on higher speeds. You feel Smooth on 120 km/hr speed. No engine noice. In City traffic it gives 12 km/ltr, On highway it gives 14-15 km/ltr.

Ride Quality & Handling Smooth ride and easy to handle.

Final Words Best car in the segment. SX4, Vento, linea and Verna are no match to this amazing rocket.

      Areas of improvement None.

Fuel Economy, Style and looksGround Clearance might be a problem

Exterior Brilliant. The Carnellian Red colour and finish is exceptional.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - Beige interiors give a stately feel to the car. Space is decent, and the car is comfortable from the inside. However, the audio panel needs serious imrpovement. It feels outdated and early 2000s in appearance. There seems to have been no work on that front.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - iVtec engine is a gem to say the least. Smooth as butter. It's got great pickup as well. For the power, the mileage is also pretty decent. Gear shift, especially between the 1st and 2nd is a problem and isn't as smooth. Once the engine revs up and reaches a certain RPM, the gear transmission is smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling Simply superb. Having driven a Corolla AT earlier, I feel Honda would beat it any day!

Final Words Overall it is an exceptional car and a smart choice. However, the sales and after sales experience left a bad taste in our mouth.

Areas of improvement Sales Experience and Customer Service. Honda needs to get its act together on this front quickly if it wants to remain the market leader.

The sales and after sales experience has been horrible to say the least. Ring Road Honda - Sugoi Motors dealership in Moti Nagar, Delhi is entirely responsible for that. Right from giving incomplete information and hiding information on offers by the company till the time of actual sales, they have been really pathetic. To sum it up:

      1. Arrogant staff Who care a hoot about customer service experience and concentrate only on selling. They would not look  even once towards the customer, leave aside actually addressing their concerns/queries, once you put your money into their accounts (read:downpayment)

      2. Wrong information They told us initially that the entire insurance amount is being waived off by the company as an offer on the 2013 model. Later, just before the signing off the deal and after having already paid the downpayment, they informed us that only "normal" registration was free and that we would have to bear the additional Rs. 5800 to get a "zero debt" insurance. Even this amount was quoted as Rs 4800 over phone!!!

      3. Delivery We had to wait for 5 hours to get our car after having reached the showroom even when all our papers were ready. The GM - Raman (or whatever his name is) did not even have the courtesy to come up to us and address our concerns. It was only on our repeated requests that he turned up and boy! was he arrogant!!

      4. No photograph with the car at the time of delivery. Neither was the car decorated in any form. None of the customary rituals were followed. It seemed as if they were doing a favour on us by giving us our car.

      5. We had to personally ask repeatedly for the smallest of things like audio remote, extra set of keys, keyrings etc, which Sugoi Motors had conveniently forgotten to provide!!

      6. Till date (16 days since purchase) there is no news on our refund and an accessory that we had asked for.

Despite buying a beauty of a car, the sales experience has left a bad taste in our mouths. Ring Road Honda be damned for that!!

Engine, ExteriorsService - pathetic to say the least, audio panel

Exterior Good. Wish they could give me alloys for this price.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Bit cramped. I added rear view cam, display with navigator and dvd etc.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Seemed to be ok till now. fuel economy for short runs is around 8 to 9kmpl. longer runs its around 11kmpl. I have not yet been able to go out on open roads yet and check.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good.

Final Words Good car, especially when u have this feeling that unlike other manufacturers, maybe Honda will not give me cause for headaches often. Somebody in Honda must look at their Horn - it bleats like a goat.. like as if the battery is down or if I have immersed it in water..a good car needs a good horn too..and wish I got alloys too for this price.

      Areas of improvement NA.

EverythingMileage in short runs and in traffic, Weak horn

Exterior Very impressive, arrow head design is appealing, Chrome exhaust finish is good, ORVM indicators are classy, front grill chrome is extra-ordinary looking.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Plush and comfortable seats, Leg room is decent, thigh support is nice.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 0 - 100 in under 10 seconds! I-VTECH is a gem of an engine. Superb power delivery at all gears, FE is good for a C2 Sedan, Gear box golf shaped knob is cool and convenient, Gear slotting is precise and accurate.

Ride Quality & Handling Decent ride and handling.Ground clearance increased to 165mm improves the ride quality and avoids considerable speed breaker hitting than before.

Final Words Excellent buy for people looking for a petrol sedan in this segment. The best in class power and mileage.

Areas of improvement Tyre upgrade and interiors need to be revamped now.

Good looks, adequate power, quick pick-upSkinny tires, weak horn

Purchased 2nd car Honda city recently. Performance very fantastic , especially in Highway. From Bangalore to Trivandrum via Madurai got good mileage 18 per litre. When I purchased it was 21 thousand km run. I was a fantastic ride. Early I had Maruti Alto LXI 2011 model. In Honda city ,we not feel tried at all, where as in alto we feel very tried.

I have a 2004 Honda City. My problems with this car started in the 1st year, where the car was in the garage for almost 3mos. Major engine components replaced under warranty. Now, the last 18mos my car is eperiencing a jerk, and they are unable to resolve it. I probably have spent more than 50000, and many days in the garage and the problem continues. I have written to Honda dealership but haven't received any response. I want to rid the car but can't sell a problem car. The dealer, Sundaram Honda, is an example of how worse a dealer can offer customer service. Honda Car India is as bad as well.

My lesson learned is Choose a good dealer not just a good car. Car buying experience is one time, if you run into problems the service is all that matters, so my next purchase is going to be with a dealer who offers good service.

I wish Carwale has rating for the dealers as well.

The new honda city is a breakthrough in the c+ segment. The exteriors r amazing., but the luggage loading aperture of the boot has been narrowed down. 118 ps from a 1.5l engine is fantastic engineering.. The car has comfy front seats, n the back seats too r satisfactory. Auto transmission with paddle shift is a wonderful option in the AT version, which i think is worth it. However, alloy wheels should have been provided. I also heard that the car needs wider tires to prevent 'rolling' at high speed turns*.. However, with all the other expenses for alloy wheels and wider tires, the city is encroachin into the civic territory in terms of price. The new city, as decribed by the autocar magazine is not much of a grown up city, but more like a junior civic offering much better fuel effeciency (around 14kmpl in city, 18 kmpl on highway)..
      hats off to the hondas!!
      Thank You.

      *refer autocar magazine oct issue.
amazing exteriors, fuel effecient, good musicplayer, paddle shift with AT version, comfortable seatscheap plastics on dash, thinner tires, no alloys, no fog lamps

Exterior I had issues with hesd lamps, moisture forms every day. Honda gave answers that this is normal behaviour etc whichh was not convincing. Still under discussion. My 4 monhs of owning a Honda was horrible with numerous service center visits with this issue. Resonse to their own mistakes is poor.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good.

Final Words Quality and response when quality issues occur needs to be the focus. They have been used to monopoly, and that attitude is evident in the way Honda responds to their own quality issues. My expectsations 4 months back when I procured the car was high, but very dissapointed.

Areas of improvement Need to improve on quality. My head lamp cluster has moisture formed daily with no solution yet from dealer or Honda. I found that when we face an issue, Honda is a faceless organization, with no one giving convincing answers. Took the car 4 months back, had to follow up on the head lamp issue several times, with no solution yet. Very bad experience with numerous visits to the dealer.

LooksVery poor quality, poor dealer response, poor accountability from Honda while responding to quality

Purchased the Honda City recently, the after sales service of HONDA is very poor, though on sending multiple requests through there website, there is no response. Not sure, if this is what HONDA is all about poor after sales or they do not care as the brand is already getting down because of the competition.

In April 2011, they have increased the price Rs. 6000/- approximately and in June 2011, the new car is now almost down by 50000/-. This clearly shows there is no price guarantee and it started losing brand value bacause of the good cars available in the market

Overall coments, purchased an undervalued car at a premium price. For new buyers, do good bargain if at all considering new HONDA.

Ensure all the documents are thoroughly checked. Ensure that the dealer gives you the invoice for the total amount paid, they will give separate invoice for Ex-showroom, Insurance and Road Tax. Do calculate the total and see they match to the price you have paid.

Good looksHigh Price - proven because of the recent price cuts, After sales sevrice at dealership and HONDA
