Exterior
The exterior is really impressive. There are several colors that Honda has provided to choose from. The Painting and finish are brilliant.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interior lacks several things like Automatic Climate control, Cruise Control, Rear View mirror Closing, Integrated parking sensors, Average Music System(try to open the doors and see the speakers used, I havent seen cheaper ones). I spent 11L to get the "V" and its quite natural to expect some of the above features.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Performance and Handling are Brilliant. I am sure you are debating between Verna, Vento, Fiesta. I have driven all three. Nothing can come closer to City's ride quality. It has a spectacular gear shift, on road stability and security features. If you look at a drivers pleasure, city will be a top priority.
Fuel economy is 11.5-12 in Banglore. Consistantly I got atleast 18 for all my long drives. My coorg drive gave 16.6 inspite of the climb. I dont know if it is any good when you compare with the latest diesel cars giving as much as a two wheeler.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is excellent. Braking is brilliant. Almost all spead breakers will hit your mudguard and the little bigger one can scrape your base.
Suspensions should have been independent. It is rigid, I must say.
Final Words
City is expensive by atleast say 1.5L. I heard that they have reduced the cost now and added some of these new features. Good!!. If you drive less than 40 Km a day in tier1 or Tier 2 city, this car is a great choice for a little lesser price. If you love to drive then City is far better than the Vernas and Ventos.
You will hardly see a Honda vehicle break down in any highway other than perhaps a tyre burst(unlikely these days due to tubless tyres). That is the reliability.
Parts are expensive though.
Finally, if I have to buy a 10L petrol car, I guess I will choose City with a happy heart due to the driveability pleasures and an unhappy head due to the extra cost.
Areas of improvement
Interiors, need to bring price down to 9 lakhs on road Bangalore for the V model and relatievely for other models as well. Independent suspension too
Thanks

One of the best in its class. (Not aggresive, but neat Arrow design) Looks are very well designed for Aerodynamics. You dont need to add any spoilers or other accesories outside. It Just look right !
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Good !!
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Awwsome - best in the segment. Good and silent IVTEC engine. On Highway this car is spo much fun to drive. Seats are good and its confortible.
Ride Quality & Handling
Its good ride and handling is not bad. At high speeds > 120KMPL it doesnt seem to be that stable.
Final Words
Good family car, Fun to drive and awwsome ivtec engine.
Easy to drive both in city and on highway. The engine like you to drive fast, It inspires you.
Areas of improvement
More Accesories can be provided as standard with City 2012. A multimedia system with DVD and reverse camera etc
Power wise the car gives superb acceleration once u reach 5,000 rpm the engine wakes up.remember this car is 75% of a civic and would be a sec slower than it. refer to the Autocar september editon on the race track the city is jut 1 second slower than the civic on lap timing 2M18.15sec vs 2M 17.9sec on a civic driving on sriperumbudur race track driven by Narain Karthikeyan.you can keep up with a corolla and overtake easy from my experience.Gear shift so extremley precise and needs just a finger to slot into next gear
Else no complaints what so ever.the center is console designed in such a way that the OEM Audio headunit provided by honda cannot be replaced without changing the center console panel which costs 13,000 rs from honda(grey market non honda panels start at 7,000rs).for the average person yes the audio unit is good enough with usb mp3 playback.however if you are an audio nut or enthusuast well u would need to replace the console silver panel in case u want to add a subwoofer/pioneer headunit to the car. the Oem headunnit has no preout and is actually made by mitsubushi.
Quality of a/c knobs is poor but its not an issue cos it is not going to break or fall apart it is similar to the knobs u can find it the old 1 st Gen honda city which my parents still own the knobs are almost the same and work exactly as they did the day the car was bought 10 yrs back. but the new city has an rotary automatic climate control i think.the issue is more like the knobs could have been better for a car that cost almost 10 Lakhs.compared to an
i would recommend changing tyres as most magazines show this car has skinny tyres.

Exterior Best looking car in that segment. The looks are killing.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Less on features, good space, very comfortable. Plastic quality of the door panels. Sound quality of the music system is very good. Don't have the option to play my favourite CDs/ MP3s.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superb engine, its a rocket and most stable car. Have driven 170kmph+ with one finger on highways. Has excellent body control, excellent gearbox. Gives me 14-16 in city with a/c on and 19-20 on highways.
Ride Quality & Handling You could feel the jerks on potholes or bad pathes however extremely smooth on the highways.
Final Words Best car in that segment, Super economical. Honda service centers are one of the best in that segment. Very low servicing cost. It's a mid segment sedan which is very light on your pocket.
Areas of improvement Suspension are designed for indian city roads which are full of potholes. Rest can't think of any in 3yrs with 75000kms done.

Exterior The car looks very good and it's arrow shot design is a head turner in highways. The new alloy wheels of 2012 are much better than previous one and add elegance to the whole car. The front elevated chrome grill is the center of attraction for the whole car and rear of the car looks good too especially chrome finish on exhaust and sports cara like haunched bottom. From the side car looks the best and feels like a well-built luxury sedan. From the top it just looks like any other sedan. The turn indicators on ORVM look elegant as well.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are spacious and seats are quite comfortable. They feel bigger and better than any other car. The cavity like line seperating the two colors of dashboard look good. The new model has a nice aluminium finished center console panel with neatly made chrome knobs. On the doors, the silver line is changed with aluminium finished line and handles are made chrome; and they look elegant. The AC vents also get chrome finish which looks great either. The new blue colored displays look cool at nights and are easy to read. The fabric used in seats is of high quality and can easily be washed with a brush. At the rear the seats are comfortable however sitting on the middle bench for too long can be quite uncomfortable. There are many storage spacer and two cup holders at rear which make it convenient to have some drinks. The are rest for the front is though oddly placed and it becomes painful to keep your elbow on it for long time. The Cruise Control feature is a worthwile addition to this car and relaxes the long and boring highway drives. However, the quipment levels are less like no reverase camera, parking sensors, bluetooth connectivity, automatic climate control AC, central locking etc. though most of them can be added at dealer level. There is a unique storage space under the rear seats where bags and suitcases can be stored. The glovebox is large and ergonomically well designed. Though the VMT model which I own doesn't have vanity lights in front, they are only available at the center of roof (a cost cutting sign). The ICE system is good to and you can attach a pendrive or get some AUX device to play the music; and as far as audio quality is concerned, it is the best in it's class, much better than any other car I have been in. The plastic quality used in making interiors not bad either. The center rear view mirror is though locally made in India piece.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 1.5 ltr. i-vtec motor is phenomenally refined and smooth. You can't hear it ruuning when the car is on. If you switch on the AC, then only some noise compressor running noise comes from bonet. The low end performance is quite good but once the engine crosses 1500 mark, it gets alive and on crossing around 3500-4000 mark, the vtec kicks in and the shatteringly cruises to red line. You will feel an immediate surge from the engine and inertia makes you stuck to the seat. You get a sports car like feeling from it. In highways, overtaking is easy and definitelt inspires confidence, even then you have sufficient power in hand and City will continue to cruise till red line. Where it loses out, is in low revs.; the torque delivery is weak and often have to downshift to get the car moving in traffic or speed breakers, the engine needs to be revved hard in high gears like 2nnd and 3rd to get the car moving even if it is not at rest. However, in first gear if you rev the car past 2000 rpm and start releasing the clutch, then it will feel like a giant pushing you forward (meaning it feels like you are driving a very torquey vehicle). Also, if you drive at high gears in low speed, you will get very bad fuel efficieny (less thean 8 kmpl). But, if you drive at required gear at required speed, then you will get very nice fuel efficiency (more than 18 kmpl). If you even accelerate hard, then only gor few seconds FE goes down and then picks up again to above 15 mark. The ECO lamp indicator in the new City makes you drive accordingly. The gear box is silky smooth and so as gear shifts. The clutch is also nicely weighed and gas paddle is safely made with a very good drive by wire system.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good for highways but in bad roads, it worsens and you catch every pothole you encounter. The ground clearence is improved and hence you don't often hit the road (almost never). The body roll is minimal and it is not yet felt by me. The car handles well and like most Hondas, it isn't an out to out drivers car, the driving position is though commanding and spot on. The car feels balanced and stable at all speeds, even 150 kmhr and handles quite good. The steering is adequately sensitive and never blasts to turn hard.
Final Words Honda City is a very reliable car and almost never breaks down. Even in winters it starts at once. It offers an executive feel to you and has a good resale value and after sales service. The car is best in it's segment and no petrol car comes close to it. It has the most advanced variable valve timing system and those claiming of having two of them are no where close to City's single one. It truly justifies the statement, 'It is a world class product.'
Areas of improvement The following areas need to be improved,
1) The headlight is not powerful and nigh visibility is poor, Honda needs to upgrade the lamp and make it stock.
2) Tyres are very thin and can lose grip if driven hard. Honda sould increase the size of tyres and make it stock.
3) It would be good, if Honda offers direct injection technology to the engine. It will improve the low end torque.
4) Diesel variant should be introduced.
5) The steering wheel turns improportionally, Honda needs to fix this.
6) What about dead pedal?
Spacious interiors, looks, highway performance, fuel efficiency, a silent and fast carlow end torque, low levels of equipment, poor ride quality in bad roads, no climate control option!Exterior/Styles

Exterior Best in comparision to its peers, feels good for eyes, this car is being noticed at road.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Luxirious, space is more than enough, very comfertable for long as well as short city drives, AC is specially good. All the required features are avialable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very quiet, fuel economy is best in its class, gear box is very smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Car is very stable on road. Handling is smooth.
Final Words I feel very happy to choose A CAR like Honda city. One of the most importent aspect which comes to you as gift as honda city owner that service part is best with Honda. You will be traeted very good at Honda Service centres. I will like to mention specially Autokem Honda Kota, Thier services are really great.
Areas of improvement Honda should find methods to put CNG Kits in all Types of Cities whether new or old.

Exterior
The styling is sleek, the overall stance of the car is very macho. Looks better than any other sedan of its class. Honda (showroom) offers upgrades for the front grille (modified grille for about 11k) and headlamps (HID projectors, for about 28k), both of which make the car look even more awesome. If you are on a budget and want an awesome car then get a lower end variant (which still has all the basic features like ABS/EBD, airbags, G-CON, etc) and spend the money saved on these upgrades - you will not be disappointed!
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
There must be a reason why Honda is offering even the lowest end variant with all the essential features like ABD/EBD, airbags, G-CON (vehicle stability control), ECO indicator which shows when you are getting the best mileage, plus a real-time mileage indicator and so on (I guess its the diesel version planned for 2014...). In all very value for money stuff. The S variant has everything one would want - music system (sans CD, of course!), all 4 speakers, electrically adjustable ORVMs, adjustable steering, height adjustable driver seat, arm-rest, cup holders and so on and so forth. Full marks to Honda on that.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine is powerful, overtaking is a breeze. Mated with the 5-speed gear box that is precise and slick makes it very easy to drive. Vehicle has in-built stability control - though I haven't had a chance to see it in action yet as I mostly drive below 70 kmph. Fuel economy is one area which I found scary and one literally has to drive it very carefully to get any mileage from it. It really is better for sports where mileage and or money are no object. Still I managed to squeeze out 12-12.5 kmpl within city with 90% AC usage. In CNG mode too the sense of power loss is minimal, and till date I have managed to get about 20-24 km/kg of mileage out of it by careful driving. In all mileage is not bad if you are a sedate driver. Any aggression and its bye-bye to mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling
Again, nothing bad in particular, though the CNG version does have some problems with the suspension bottoming out. This is most evident prior to CNG fitment due to the raised suspension and the rear wheels make a HUGE thud whenever going over potholes even at crawling speeds. One has to be very careful about this till the kit is fitted. After the fitting things are almost back to normal, but I guess there is still some care to be taken in terms of speed while going over potholes.
Final Words
A very value for money car - at least as far as being feature-rich goes. Yes, with the petrol cost of today, the City might seem expensive to own, but the CNG version will start saving money after about 2-2.5 years of ownership. The City CNG is the best option for those who have more than 800 kms monthly driving which is mostly within city limits. I am already feeling happy these days while driving out of the pump!
Areas of improvement
Well, not much here. Mileage was 10-12 kmpl when new. Now it has improved to between 15-19 kmpl within city, but that is mostly because I drive in off-peak hours.
Good style, excellent driving experience, plus Honda brand namePetrol engine, though refined and powerful, also has good mileage if driven properly

This is undoubtedly the car for the corporate executive. Stylish, reliable, performance oriented, though a tad expensive to run when fuel prices cross Rs 53 per litre - but then again, if the company is paying for the fuel bill, why not!?
If there was a sedan that came close to perfection, this one would be it. Stemming from the unparalleled build quality, this car's runaway success comes as much from the product itself as from its brand image. In fact, I can't think of any other car in the market today that can rival, or come close to rivalling, the build quality of the City.
Interiors and space are well laid out for comfort, be it a trip to the office, or a longer run out of town with the family. The car is built to perform, and besides filling the tank and driving, there is not much that the owner needs to do. My friends who own Citys, however, say that though the service quality is great at their service stations, the relatively small size of the service network makes it a bit of a task to get an appointment for service - more like an appointment with a city-wide famous doctor than a service station. On the other hand, they are quick to point out that there is barely any perceptible change in performance of the car even if you have to forego the service for want of time, and know for sure that the car will not let you down if you put off the trip to the service station by a few weeks, or even months.
There is not much to say about the drive of the City... since that is something to be experienced first hand. Be it the daily commute, or the highway trip on the weekend or a longer trip on vacation, the city does the thing that it does best... pleases. A true driver's car, city owners sure would find it difficult to hire chauffers, cause despite enjoying the comforts of the back seat, they know where the real quotient of fun lies in the car!
If honda were to add to the already-immense popularity of the car, it might consider the availability of the car in alternative fuel variants such as CNG or LPG. That would make the car way easier to run during this cash-strapped tough economic times for companies and execs alike, and am sure would speed up the offtake of inventory from their stock yards, if there is any there that is.
This is one sedan that you have got to have in your stable.

The interiors are a bit flashy but they are unique. The beige trims and consoles are a delight. The external design may not please the females too much, but the compactness is a functional utility when driving in Delhi. The mileage I am getting without my third service (now due) is around 14kmpl in city.
The height adjustable driving seat, the adjustable steering - both add to driving convenience and flexibility. The seats are comfortable and it is a delight to go on long drives in your Honda. It responds to your command like a faithful pet. The cabin is quite silent with windows rolled up and there is no vibration to feel too. It may become difficult at times to guess whether the engine is off or purring.

I drove all the models of Honda City and I felt the second one, the one before the newest is the best. I'm a man who needs a generous space inside a car. Good enough to spread my legs and easy to ingress and egress with my large shoes. Also the seats should be at a height and still have good head room. The City which was the predecessor to the newest has good spaces inside and I liked it the most. The latest one is not that good for the rear seat traveller because of the fuel tank perhaps.
The drive quality is superb and the engine responce is great. I believe that the suspension is not up to the mark.
