Exterior The car looks smart and has amazing street presence. The new sporty look is much better than older version. 10 spoke alloy adds to the look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious cabing. great driving comfort on the wheels and in the rear. Good a/c and music system.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A peppy engine and very responsive. Silent and gear movements are easy and in control. 10.5 kms a ltr is best expected in Mumbai traffic. Highway it closes to 14. The cruise control feature is good and helps you relax on a long stretch.
Ride Quality & Handling Quite sturdy and firm. quite in control while at the corners. Power steering is good and works with precision.
Final Words Within this segment, Honda City is hands down winner. Good package / value for money / good re sale / great ownership value.
Areas of improvement At 10.5 lac bracket you expect basic gadgets like climate control / bluetooth connectivity / parking sensor etc.

Exterior Still looks modern and fresh.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, Luxurious, Great quality of materials, seats are very comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Noiseless engine at idling, wonderful acceleration, very good fuel economy.
Ride Quality & Handling Very comfortable ride, precise handling.
Final Words Go for it if you are looking for a petrol sedan and if you will be doing the driving.
Areas of improvement Climate control should have been provided in a 10 lakh car
Wanted to replace my 3 year old Aveo with another petrol sedan. Since I dont have a driver and do all the driving myself, I was looking for a car which would have good performance and driving pleasure. Considerations included Nissan Sunny, Renault Scala, New Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and the new Honda City.
Test drove all of the above cars. Loved the space in the Sunny & the Scala but the quality of interiors were tacky and the drive was uninspiring.
New Ford Fiesta was amazing to drive but space inside was cramped and it did not come across as a family car.
Verna was loaded with features but the quality of metal was questionable. The doors closed with a clink rather than a thud.
Vento was solidly built and was the most comfortable of the lot but with one dealer in Kolkata and multiple negative reviews on carwale.com was not encouraging at all.
Fell in love with the new Honda City after a test drive. The engine was the most refined, the steering was light and precise and the car was fun to drive.
Repeated all the Test Drives again, and all in one day and found the Honda City as the champion. A true driver's car!
Booked the V MT in Carnelian Red Pearl colour on Oct 27th. Dealer (Eastern Honda) was very good and threw in some discounts and freebies (foot mats, sun film, rear view camera).
Took delivery on 3rd Nov. Have driven about 100 kms so far. Fuel economy as on the trip computer shows 12.8 kmpl. This is with the AC on and in an engine which is yet to be run in. I think its fantastic because I used to get around 9.5-10 kmpl in my Aveo. The cruise control feature is amazing and is a boon on long empty stretches, especially during early morning or late nights.
The sound system quality is amazing. The speakers are awesome. I have put my entire music collection on a 32 GB pen drive and the system reads it flawlessly.
What I miss is a climate control system. Even a i20 has it these days! Also at this price and trim level, foldable side mirrors should have been par for the course. Will update once I complete 1000 km in the car.

Exterior The looks are quite dazzling. My urban titanium looks Strong, masculine and, stands out. With its aerodynamic smooth finish it is a very very seductive sedan.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nothing inferior among its class. The serene interior is very deeply appealing. Besides adequate leg space, the 3 seater back seat is convertible as two giving cool, lavish and majestic boost to the two in the back. The bucket seating is quite a comfort in the front seats. Mechanised/powered windows, mirror adjust are convenient. The central locking/unlocking sensor could have had a better sounding music than the sluppp sound.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Noiseless and smooth and revvs up in no time. Great braking system. Cant boast great on the economy. I expected it to be over 16 Km in the small city like Panjim. I wend up getting about 13-14kmpl. The gear box..waw.. smooth slides. Overall 8 on 10.
Ride Quality & Handling I love the stability of my SMT when at or over 100kmph. Great breaks almost no jerks. Really happy on this.
Final Words I think I must Thank Mr Arun Kinlekar at Coastal Honda in Panjim for his excellent description of the plusses and otherwise of SMT. His customer care and frank detailing is very appealing. His showcasing of the both sides of SMT made me decide on the car that I have begun to fall in love with. Thank you Arun.
Areas of improvement Improvise on fuel economy. Could also provide lil more space like a food chest and some hideout for a chess board and pawns.
This is a great model. Styling, interiors and aerodynamic designing are great. color urban titaniumI wish it had some more fuel economy; particularly in the urban settings it is not economicalExterior/Styles

Aftre my research and deliberation, I finally zeroed in on the following car. Honda City, vMT, CNG, sparkling brown. And, what followed has been something that I can term, no short than a horrible experience. And, I vouch not to go anywhere near honda products, ever. Forget about only Honda cars.
The purpose of this e-mail is to let someone stand-up and take a notice of what's happening on-ground and something that needs to be fixed to ensure a consistent customer experience at all stages of the car /product ownership.
I am not interested in sharing the whole strory; but, do intennd to share a gist of what my experiences have been, with various dealerships, in and around Delhi:
1. Ace Honda , NOIDA. Sales Rep : Deepak Mobile # 7838XXXXXX. Visit to showroom and the reception was cordial. All test drives arranged as appropriate. No great experience. No explanation of the features etc. Required quite a bit of push to extract information. Subsequent phone calls to inquire about availability of my specific model, variant and the colourof the car did not show enough response. In fact, during the e when I said, I will buy another car, a Verna. Deepak responded with quite an irritated tone. Sure, please go ahead. oops !
2. RIng Road Honda, Connaught place, Delhi. Not willing to forego my temptation to ride what I beleive is a fine car, I let my financier (Magma finance-this car is being bought through our company financing scheme) deal with the dealership, and conversation started with Parmeeta - phone 9718XXXXXX. I was told that there is a car available and off we went . All paper work done. Car ready for delivery at the CP showroom. Upon arrival, I saw that the car's bonnet had a unique patch that could not be removed even after all robbing, polishing that happened. After assurance from the dealer that the bonnet would be replaced, I sat in the car for the first time, and guess what. The fine beige interior's driver side hand rest was soiled. WHoops. Without listening to the next assurance of getting the car dry-cleaned etc., I just walked off the showroom.
3. Ring Road Honda: day follwed with calls like the car is fine now, and I should have a look and choose. I persisted that I needed a different piece as I never felt that car feel as buying a new car. After 3/4 persistent calls, they stopped. I re-assured that I will buy the car from them and the same one. The only condition is that I will want a different piece than the one that was being offered.
4. Ring Road Honda : My calls to check the fresh stock availability was always answred with a response "We will receive a dispatch schedule on 3rd May 2013 and then we can tell you if what you are looking for, is available or not. ????? Do they not have a process of booking a specific vehicle and then notifying the production of the same? Well, I would think otherwise. Calls on 3rd May to Parmeets went unanswered. The dealership is really angry with me that I did not by a "not so fit"car from them, and looks like they are not willing to entertain my requests anymore.
5. Ace Honda: Call back to Deepak Mobile # 7838XXXXXX. And, he is very busy with Amaze bookings. Standard response. "Vehicle delivery schedule will come on 3rd May'13". I was about to lose it now; but, insisted that he shares a corporate sales manager #, and he promptly did - Manoj Sharma. Phone # 9999XXXXXX. 1st conversation with Manoj was a pleasure. Someone was understand the needs. It still required a couple of follow-ups to receive the first performa invoide; but, we managed. Manoj explained that he needed a LOI for the car booking and we are fine. And, then no conversation for 3/4 days. I did share his associate, Deepak's approach to selling, and Manoj promptly made a note of the same and promised to share the feedback with Deepak's manager.
6. Pearl Honda : Ashisk Kumar. Keeps calling me to check that I was interested in buyin a Honda City what happenes. And, everytime I have to remind him that I was looking for a specific variant, specific color, and then he acknolwledges his fading memory and all the past conversations. Very conviniently blames on the sales front desk staff who keeps giving him tmy # as an open sale and he promptly keeps calling me everytime only to realize that we have talked about this, umpteen # of times. phew!
7. Ace Honda, NOIDA: Curios to know progress, I called up Manoj, the Corporate sales manager, and I was promptly told that LOI was not received. A quick check at the financier revealed that the contact person at the financier was sick and the LOI wasn't received yet. I was informed by Manoj that LOI wasn;t received, and therefore they are unable to place request for production on time. He will check the delivery schedule and confirm back.
Manoj called back the subsequent day. And our conversation later during the day ended in a short chit-chat with a promise that he will check internally and call back on Friday 03 May'13. No updates received and.
8. Ace Honda, NOIDA: Today is Saturday, 04 May'13. My first call to Manoj went unresponded. He called back promptly, and by now, I had lost it. I only told him - I understand the information not being available ; but, what stopped him for at least updating about the progress and finally, what options /alternatives do I have? Manoj is finally promised that he will speak to his GM, check facgtory production schedule, and let me know if my Honda City, CNG, Sparkling Brown colour can be made available. And, while he does that, I still go back and relish my experience with Maruti (I have four of them now). Four years back, for my sister's marriage, I needed a specific color of Sx4, and the GM sales at Apra Automobiles, Vasant Kunj had notified that the color was not available.
He not only prompted and kept updating me the progress, one fine day, he also came back and imformed that he was able to speak to Maruti and requested to make a new car of the color that I was wanting. WOW !, And all this conversation was happening while I was in bangalore and the sale was happening in Delhi.
That experience establishes a benchmark and a lot of car companies need to learn that per-sales/sales experience for their customers is the key to making some buying decisions.
I am off to either Hyundai Fluidic Verna (diesel) now, or my good old SX4 that has a refreshed feel. Honda is a fantastic car, I still maintain; but, unable to match up with Maruti's ability to make the customers feel happy through the whole buying process. Alok 9910XXXXXX.

Exterior Exterior is OK as compared to other make of similar vehicles not very attractive.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are OK, Space is reasonable not very comfortable as compared to petrol version. The smoothness of a new machine is missing.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine noise can be distinctly heard performance is fine. gear shift not very smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling I purchased CNG version of Honda City. It gives Loud thud sound from the rear while crossing a speed breaker or on rough roads and the fuel gauge is faulty. It appears Honda has not done its home work on CNG version.
Final Words All are requested to take a free test drive of my car before making a buy decision. Captain S K Sharma. 9819XXXXXX.
Areas of improvement Honda must stop selling faulty vehicles. Repair/replace faulty vehicles. After sales of Honda and Apex Honda Mumbai – Least said the Better. They are just not bothered.
I wish Honda stops riding the past glory and take care of its customers.

Exterior Gud looking, nice headlights and gud styling.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I like the space in the car It is really commfortable to sit in it and the gears are easy to change I found that the car runs automatically in the fourth gear I dont do anything just leave the accelerator and it keeps moving itself I found that the car has got gud interios when compared with other cars.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox THe engine is quiet strong I dont know what to writte in it but only thing i KNOW IS that whenever I have to overtake a car i just do it very swiftly without taking much efforts which makes me feel I am in an aircraft. The gear box is easy to handle I just change the gears so easily.
Ride Quality & Handling Awesome i just turn the car at the speed of 40km and it just happens so easily but i feel scred for it is not easy and ppeople on the road star at me like anything.
Final Words I am in love wid my caar just wish I could get something modified in it like the steering it is too old stylish.
Areas of improvement Please add some more features like automatic gear box.

Exterior No one can beat its looks. All so called mannly cars like SX4 looks like a destitute child in front of this vehicle. My wife was a great fan of SX4. We went to showrrom to test drive the SX4, when we were about to start a white Honda city came and parked along side the test vehicle, All the love my wife had for SX4 vanished like eveporated thoughts.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The best in class. Moment I looked inside, I felt like it was inviting me, felt like a king when I drove past few cars, all eyes set on my vehicle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Super duper, 14.3 km/l with AC is unimaginalble.
Ride Quality & Handling That is the USP. No car in India can match up to this.
Final Words All those who like SX4, Linea, Verna, Sunnnnny, Vento, Fiesta, etc keep blowing your tumpet. You have already made a loss trying to make a style statement. I understand that you will have to justify the loss now. Happy driving.
Areas of improvement PLEASE introduce a Auto Climate control, but not that I am missing it.

Hi,
As we all know that Honda cars are over priced but Honda people says that we deliver quality. I also agree to the fact that they do provide the Quality but in few areas they are lagging behind. For Example the average meter is not accurate and varies more than 25 %. The range meter readings varies by more than 50 % of actual results. Except these two consideration the car is really super in its own segment. To maintain the quality. Honda people should either omit these two features from there car or provide some accuracy in the measurements.
Thanks and Regards,
Rajul Aggarwal

Exterior: is good
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): is good
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Good mileage on highway, engine & gear box...great!!
Ride Quality & Handling: Superb for those graduating from lower cars. I'm not a car enthusiast but so as long as I'm comfortably able to drive, I'm happy. There’s no fatigue in spite of the bumper to bumper mumbai traffic.
Final Words: Best choice. I had read all disheartening reviews on Honda city. Everyone referred to it’s low height problem. Between Toyota Innova & City, I went ahead & bought City for it's 'city' comfort. I'm very happy driving it. I hated driving hence had a driver for a decade & half; but now..No driver needed!! I love it's cruising comfort. Once you buy it, you realise what you had been driving.
Areas of improvement : Front Grill spoils the overall design impact. A little change in that & the car will dramatically improve in looks.
