For used car buyers

I would like to share my views; I hope it will helpful for the used car buyers. Why we are going for used cars? It will be cheaper in price. If we ask next question by our self “It is really cheaper?”, then most of the users will say “NO”.

While buying the used cars, we have to be very careful to in time of fixing the price. Example, if you are planning to buy a 5 to 6 yrs old car means, please don’t go more than 50% of current new car market price. Also, if the car is used more than 60,000 Kms !!!!  Most of used cars will come to the market with these conditions.

Now we will see what will happen if you are buying a used car spending more than 50% of current market price.

Once the car is crossed 60,000 Kms , we have to spend signified amount for the maintenance.

Examples:

1. Regular Service:  For the new cars regular service will be once in 10,000 Kms. But for the used cars we have to do the regular service once in 5,000 to 6,000Kms.

2. Clutch Plate change:   Company fitted clutch plate life will be around 60,000KM. We have change the clutch plate after 60,000Kms. Otherwise it will affect car performance and efficiency (mileage drop).  It will cost around Rs 30,000/-. This second clutch plate life will not come like as company fitted clutch plate life. We will get max life of 40,000Kms. You have to change again!

3. Suspension: Our Indian road conditions we have spend considerable amount for periodic checks for car suspension and service.  Especially front wheel suspension has to be checked frequently. Otherwise it will affect the low arm and tyer life.  Suspension (all 4) service will cost you around Rs 40,000/-

4. Major Service:  As per manufactures recommendations we have to change few things in the car in 80,000Kms. Like Bearing, Belts, and ect. It will cost you around Rs 50,000/-

5. Tyer Conditions: For changing 4 tyers we to have spend around Rs 25,000/-

Above examples are irrespective of vehicle conditions we have to do!!!!! Vehicle conditions based maintenance extra!

So, if you are spending more than 50% of current new car market price while buying the used car means, finally you will end up with new price in 2 yrs or 20,000Kms of your usage. Better you can go for new car.
