Exterior Excellent design but it is soooo small. I took TD and booked for my friends.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 0% confort.. only a couples with 2 kids can use this car, Boot space no diesel more over the paint plastic overall vehicle quality sucks. just for engine u cannot go for this car. But my friend is a bug fan for honda and he went for it. We first a uphill TD and car went like a butter. overal engine is cool esp for city with heavy traffic u can drive this vehicle easily.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Superb no doubt about honda.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

Final Words Can go if u have a family of 4( hub, wife and 2 kids).

Exterior The exterior is the first thing that catches your eye. It has a very revolutionary design, u can either hate it or love it. But it looks adorable from the front. The rear door location makes getting in and out very easy, especially for older people. Love the extended rear windshield. It definitely makes heads turn.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Although it appears to be a small car, it is really deceptive. Step inside and the space is huge! The boot has been compromised to make space for the rear legroom. The seats are comfortable, although slightly thin, but cant complain as the cost is low. Plastics are extremely high quality. On par with other Honda cars. Music system is same as honda city. No CD player, but common its 2012, who uses them? Amazing speakers. A/C is powerful. Many cubbyholes.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A 1.2 i vTec (Honda Jazz engine -  electronically limited) peppy engine which feels happy to be revved. Reached 130 comfortably and the car was so silent.  12/13 kmpl in the city and 18/19 kmpl highway with AC on.  Amazing pickup if gears are shifted properly. 100% bumper to bumper city driving restricts efficiency to 10 kmpl. Gearbox is slick and shifts are amazing, matches its design with the Honda city. 

Ride Quality & Handling Steering is an absolute delight, it makes the car too easy to handle. Little bumpy ride on rough roads. Body roll is at a minimum, sticks to the road very nicely. Very easy to park, especially in reverse as the extended windshield offers a greater view.

Final Words Definite buy! Rest assured. It is a HONDA through and through.

Areas of improvement Some of the disappointments was the old antenna and no internal levers to move the OVRMS in the lower models.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Had no chance to experience all these aspects.

Ride Quality & Handling No ride at all. Car started generatting hell of a lot of underbody noise after 63 Km.  Had to be taken in a truck. Good fortune that I had opted for RSA. A shaft or something had to be replaced. Bought the car on 30th March. Had to be sent to workshop on 2nd April 2012. Still in workshop. This incident is good enough to infer the level of quality control at such so called reputed brands for whichi we pay as high as Rs5.70 Lakhs for a hatch. Disgusting quality.

Final Words I will never buy another Honda Product ever. One of the greatest disappointments of life. I own a Maruti 800 for 15 years. After 15 years, bought a new car and had to face the brunt of a sub standard produt from Honda.

Areas of improvement Qulaity, Qulaity, Quality

Booked our brio on Nov 2. Tsunami was an acceptable reason for the delay. But 2 days before the delivery date, we called up the sales guy, and he cooly says cars got damaged in transit from Noida, so there would be further delay. And he asked us not to come to the showroom since everyone is in a meeting on this issue. Inspite of this we went to the showroom, and to our shock we see everyone taking delivery of their cars. And this guy posing with them for pics. When we asked, he says only car got damaged!! Wonder if the cars came with the names etched on them, cos there was another localite taking the delivery of the smae variant and colour we had booked. Can't fathom how they arrived at it was our car that got damaged. And he lied over phone that many cars got damaged while we went there he says its only ours.

Very different design,very sporty,nice headlamps, the rear doesnt complement with the front of the car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Enough space for 5 people, good interiors, good plastic used, colour combination of black,brown and biege, excellent sound system.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 Pick up is bad, noisy gearbox, fuel economy is horrible. I've driven around 1200 km and had my car serviced once but the fuel economy doesnt seem to go beyond 10km/lt.

 The drive is excellent and a perfect city car. The pick up is disappointing.

Final Words

Value for money but Honda needs to do something about the fuel economy. I feel cheated by the company since it claims the average to be around 18. I expected it to give atleast 15 but my car doesnt seem to cross the 10km/lt. It is brilliant to drive around in the city. Very comfortable and has very good features like the music system with its controls on the steering along with the usb drive and ample cabin space along with storage space.

I have booked Honda Brio EMT rally red on 3rd Oct, 2011 from Deccan Honda, Pimpri, Pune but still not got the delivery. As the reasons of delay were natural calamities I ignored and waited for the delivery. This month I was committed for the delivery but hav not received the car till now. Now after 4-5 months of booking I got a call from honda that I will have to choose from only 2 colours : Taffeta White and Alabaster Silver. 

This is not at all expected from honda. How can they ask the customers to change their choice that to after 4-5 months. And also are forcing to choose a higher model. Just for the sake of fulfilling the backlog of waiting list why are they forcing customers. Else they should have told at starting only about only 2 choices. 

Even after all the Brio plus points like looks and all the colour choice also matters for me. And now I have decided to cancel my booking as during purchase too Honda can also generate more points for compromise but now I am much frustrated to handle any more excuses.

Exterior Looks awesome. I bought it at the time when there were no Brio's on road. So it used to catch every person on road. On the day of puja, even the pandit was curious to know about the car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It has ample space, given the overall dimensions of the car. Looks like a luxury car from inside. The steering is smooth and joy to drive. It is light when driving in city traffic at low speeds, but gets heavy when driving at higher speeds.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It was little sluggish during initial pick up but kicks off with great acceleration once it crosses 1.5k rpm. Fuel economy was great on highways, the on board tip meter showed a max of 24 kmpl. But reduces drastically when driving on lower gears and in bumper to bumper traffic. Went to as low as 9 kmpl. Gear box is smooth like butter and very easy to shift gears.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is very smooth on highways, the car was rock stable even at 120Km speed. But body roll is noticed on uneven roads. And also the ground clearance was a little concern on tall speed breakers especially when 3 people seating   in the rear. 

Final Words This is a great petrol car in small segment. Excellent VFM given the price and HONDA reliability.

Areas of improvement A diesel version of this car would be perfect.

I have been driving my new Brio VX AT since the last 3 weeks. I was very impressed at the time of test drive with the design and interior space.I thought an ideal upgrade to my santro.Recently I drove with my family of 2 children and wife to Mysore from Kochi.I would like to share my overall experience with this car.

Exterior Excellent design and was very impressed.It looks big from outside for a small car. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Plenty of space inside for four people.Better suited for children.Not recommended for a large family.My children did not enjoy the long drive because they are so used to the comfort of my 7 seater innova.The music system is average and good for FM radio.If you are an audiophile like me please upgrade.There are no lights on the gear shift and very difficult to change modes in darkness in the first few drives. You have to look at the dashboard ODO for recognising the drive mode.Good visibility all around.Driver seat height adjust was a blessing for my wife.Boot space although feels very small, I could accomodate two cabin size baggage with ease and squeezed in few more smaller bags.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Drove most of the time in D gear.The D gear is sluggish for accelerating on highways and downshift to D3 needed for overtaking.D3 gear did well on the ghat sections and D1 & D2 were never used.decent performance of D3 gear on hairpin bends.The ECO mode helps you mainatain efficiency and I managed 14.5-15 Km/l overall for my 800 km trip. It gave a figure of 15 kmpl on the highway with ac.Cruising on the highway in D mode is comfortable.I would have appreciated a little more on the fuel tank capacity and that made me make more frequent visits to the fuel station.

Ride Quality & Handling It is best suited for less than 100 km trips on the highway. If you own a bigger car, I would not recommend BRIO to be taken for longer drives.It handles well and never used it above 85Kmph on the highway.It does not feel good at higher speeds on the highway.I enjoyed driving the car through busy Kochi traffic and narrow kerala highways.The ride quality on good roads are good and any bad patches were instantly appreciated by rear passengers at high speeds.

Final Words Excellent car for city drives and short highway trips. I would not recommend for longer drives if you have a bigger second car.The fuel efficiency is very good if you drive in the ECO mode. I would recommend this car for anyone who would not mind spending extra for an automatic and enjoys driving it without looking at numbers.

Areas of improvement Better music system with bluetooth connectivity.Lights on the gear shift and power window switches.
