I have just completed a year with my Brio V MT. What attracted me to it was its zippiness which is pretty much needed in city driving esp Delhi. I love its small turning radius as it comes very handy in conjusted scenarios and during parking.
The steering is the lightest as compared to the other cars in the segment which is very helpful during long drives. I drove from Delhi to Chandigarh with only one stop I btwn. The car didnt make me feel tired even after 250 kms of almost continous driving.
Also this car looks tiny from outside however it holds enough space inside. We 5 adults easily fit in the vehical and it has become our natural choice when going out.
Coming to fuel efficiency, i though that mine wasnt giving a good average before I saw these comments. Mine gives around 14-15 in city. (w/o AC) and about 13-14 with AC.
It did start with 10-11 initially however with time the FE will improve and also it will depend a lot on how you treat your vehical and drive it. FE is hugely dependent on the driver and the driving conditions.
Your FE will be low id:
1. You love to treat your car as a race car, riding on the accelarator as soon as you get a green signal. Speed is good however it will come at the same cost of petrol. Esp in cities maintain your speed, no need to climb on the accelarator just because you got a small patch to freedom.
2. You clutch ride, ie you use clucth before you apply brakes. Clutch is supposed to be used for changing gears and not breaking. The best way to break is start doing it much before you normally do. Start slowing down by SLOWLY releasing the accelarator and then slowly apply breaks. press the clutch only when its almost stop to change gears.
3. Too much breaking is bad. I have some people who love to test their cars breaks, apply them with jerks only when you are about to bang into the car in front of you.
4. Regualrly check the air pressure in the tyres and get your car serviced on regular intervals.
5. Use the right gear for the right speed.
Enjoy your little bundle of joy :). The FE will improve with time.

Exterior Cute styling, revolutionary glass hatch and short wheelbase. Allows u to drift quickly in and out of silly traffic. The lines along the side, reminds of the fluidic design on the verna 😟
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Important features i liked are the Aux port on the ICE, ABS+EBD features, 12v socket and the big fat ass glove box. Steering wheel has mode and volume control, skoda rapid dont have it😷
I often get complimented that this hatch is comfortable, even though outside looks suggest otherwise. It can easily seat 4, altho 5 fat guys is streching a lil too much.
Like i said above, it can seat 4 pple comfortably, altho 5 can be accomodated too.Sufficient leg room for the back seaters w/out cramping.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
A) Best in class Ivtec engine, superb pickup and power. Beats the hell out of swift, punto , i10, i20 u name it. Embarassed a merc c_class C200 once on the NH47 hiway. If i have to overtake, i oft down shift to 3rd gear and zoom past everyone 😝
B) I get an FE of 17 in city and about 22 in hiway. All figures w/out AC but with blower(fan speed 2). I upshift at 1.5k rpm genrally to get awesome FE. If u drive under 2k rpm, expect awesome FE. I will defnly smash 25kmpl one day,
C)Worst gearbox, makes a silly sound and is kinda ok to upshift. Learn from VW,maruti to create a asyncronous gearbox. Altho the gearbox makes silly sounds, clutch bleeding reduces noice to some extent. No other complaints!
Ride Quality & Handling Decnet ride quality, have gone beyond 120 kmph once, felt ok~~ did not float or rock like the verna 2013 model. I generally dont beyond 90kmph, as it hurts my wallet (petrol cost) :(
Handling is quite superb considering the rubbish MRF ZTVT tyres. i can easily take corners in 5th gear with the lite steering. Changing to michelin, yokos or conti will give u much better handling/ride
Final Words Superb car, total VFM~ altho i shud have got amaze becoz i do 2k kms in a month. Service costs are very cheap, i have paid a total of 5866 in my 25000 kms of driving.
Areas of improvement Improve the damn gearbox, gear shifting is still just about ok! Honda dealers, stop acting like idiots and be more customer centric! RAting it 4/5 , will give it 5 out 5 once they improve the gearbox!
Awesome FE, superb pickup/power, decent torq and hot styling!Horrible gearbox, useless boot, cheap plastix and boring interiorsExterior/Styles

I was looking for a new car and for that i have had many options in my head but there are many factors which i had to consider before searching for new Car for me. For this i started doing the followings;
Internet : (The automotive India, Carwale, etc)
Friends : Existing Car Owners Advices,
Showroom : Went many showrooms and had test ride of having real experience
Street Watching : Started staring at many cars
Friends and the visit to the showroom were two important things that helped me in deciding my cute car "BRIO"
Maruti Swift & Ritz,
Hyundai i10 (i20 was not considered because i felt that it is little costly for me)
I never had the Brio in my option because it is just launched on Indian Road and also not having good response (As expected by Honda). Ne a day (D Day) came, when the Honda People have a whole day campaign at my office and then i decided to have Test Drive of the car. I felt good to drive and ask Honda people to come to my home so that wife also have had test ride. Along with Honda i also called Maruti dealer for the same.
So next day , we had test ride of both and still there was a confusion between Swift and Brio. Both of the cars having super refined engine and good handling. I am not concentrating more on the quality of the engine and the build, as i am having no doubt on the quality of both the Masters Auto Giants.But there are some points on which Brio Scores over Swift (Some Practical Points);
A. For me, Swift has good design ,Although little bulky and fatty, which is little more prone to scratches in city traffic. Whereas, Brio looked futuristic in style, i specially liked the rear, as it gives more visibility from rear, that is boon for the driving in Indian Condition,
B. I dont have problem with brakes of the Swift but the handling/ visibility was little uncomfortable for me and in BRIO, it seems like it great fun to drive this car. Brio can be easily driven in heavy traffic as well as having good stability on the HIghways. However, Brio is little shaky on the bad Roads (specially can be felt at back seats), but i feel, this is not an big issue as most of the Car in this segment having that problem. However, Brio at driving seat is marvelous and it felt like i am sitting in Big Sedan Car.
C. BRIO is having fresh look whereas Swift is on Indian Road since very long.
Salute to Honda for providing such a wonderful Car to the world.

Exterior The looks may not be applealing many and the car look (mark it "looks") quite small onthe first strike. But I had an overwhelming appeal to this car for its distinct rear look and the sporty lines which runs through the entire side of the car. Bubble headlamps are smart too and the massive front bumper add some masculin character to the more feminine looking car. The rear windshield is real tough that whatever efforts you make trying to knock it down, turns out to be in vain. Overal l the looks are more different from the routinecars on rosd these days.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Once you are in the cabin you will will for sure feel that this is that would like to own. Right from the bright, top quality interiors to the way how you feel holding to the steering wheel, it gives you a real great feel that you are fetting the best work of engineering for your buck. The driver seats are perfect to be seated and are curved at the back to allow better legroom for the rear passengers. Stereo could have been better with uniform speakers at both front and rear. One thing it doesn't offer you is the one touch central lock button, for the ease of the driver. The biege carpets definitely look rich and at the same time you can't let be free from stains. The low & fixed head rest at the rear seat can make your long journey quiet tiresome for ur neck.Except for that and thigh support at the rear seat, it makes good room for even a 6 footer like me. As by the math increase in the cabin space is inversely proprtional to the boot space, which will make good space for two big sized travel bags with the parcel tray on. Ingress & Egress into the rear side of the car can be a bit tough for old due to the low profile of the car itself.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Nothing except suzuki can match to the performance of the engine. Only let down would be the accelaration and low end torque which drags the car a bit longtime. Gearbox is crisp & precise. Economy turns a 12-13 in the chennai city & delivers a whooping 18-19 on the highways.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is bit soft and quiet reacts sharp on bad roads. Dynamics of the car is mind blowing and found quiet stable even at 150kmph. Even then the steering feels much lighter and makes you a bit nervous on your control.
Final Words I own one and I would like to boast that I have made the best decision in my purchase.

Exterior Very nice with good stylish look at front.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) From outside small but in inside it too good and comfort for rear seating. Even it occupies 4 medium weighed peoples of 55 kg.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very alert and responsive engine which gives enormous power for sudden pick up on highways at 80 - 95 km speed it gives average milage abt 19-19.4km as on average with full ac maximum time run engine with ECO mode. On city I am getting 15 -16.5 as on average.
Ride Quality & Handling Very easy to handle. I took my sweet brio on oct 3rd still now my run about 2050km in single month driving honda brio is very very pleasure any other car in this segment so many friends having swift and figo they drove my car and they accept the smoothness and performance of this i-vtec engine, easy for handling.
Final Words Really its a superb car value for our money, in this budget none of car company is providing safety features like ABS,SRS airbags, EBS. honda is giving etc safety feature in 6 lakhs budget.
Areas of improvement Driver seat height adjustment. Rear mirror wipper and defogger.

Exterior Definitely a head turner, i buy this car in august after searching so many cars, finally decided to buy brio, i am very happy about the looks of the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior looks good, used good plastics and dash board finishing with double tone gives rich look, rear leg room is good, but the only problem is missing driver seat adjustment, should work on that because sometimes it will be difficult to check on the roadeven though I'm 5'10".
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very nice like thier other cars, I-V tec works well and i am getting 15 KMPL in city, i am very happy with the performance of the car, gera box is OK.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is amazing, mainly steeering is very responsive and easy to drive.
Final Words BRIO is really a car that loves you back, go for it.
Areas of improvement Need driver seat adjustment, rear wiper and Automatic climate control for AC.

Exterior Wow and cute.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good room inside and very cleaver packaging. Let room is good in front and rear seats.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good, the efficency drops if you play rough.
Ride Quality & Handling Very sharp handling, a bit hard suspension.
Final Words Strage to read comments like "very small" and "small boot". For the size, the car has best packaging. it is stupid to write "small car" and " small boot" as you get may more than what you see. Very smart car with good handling. Perfect for congested city roads.
Areas of improvement Slightly better gearing (requires a bit more gear changing in city), climate control, a more features at least in top version. the ride is bit stiff. Start/stop and other feature to be added in atleast top version. Gearning improved (can reduce max speed) to have better gear ratios. Some clutter can be heard (fit quality issue). The driver seat not height adjustable.

Exterior Very beautiful double triangle design and the boot is eye turning.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are beige with dual tone in V(MT) which gives a rich car feeling and space inside the car is also amazing.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very responsive and you can accelerate as much as you want but the fuel economy is around 13Kms/litre. Gearing of Honda Brio is very soft and in short just fantastic.
Ride Quality & Handling The car has very good road grip due to its design and manouvering the car is a fun.
Final Words Just go for it and you will fall in love with it.
Areas of improvement Honda should have control on its dealers, I recently purchased the car from Hallmark Honda and the sales manager Mr Sujit is just pathetic. Hallmark Honda just sucks and never buy car from Hallmark Honda Navi Mumbai. They just change their words every minute.
Pickup is amazing and engine is extrememly responsive. You have the "feel good factor" when you driveSeats and headrest is not impressiveExterior/Styles

Exterior Poor quality paints gives in even in a very minor impact The streamline aerodynamic body is so efficient that even at 120 kmph, the drive is so fascinating.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good comnfort. Other cars cannot be compared to Brio because Honda products are equal to European Product though it is an Asian. Do not compare this with swift or i10 or Wagon R.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Perfect, mileage- not so good.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving comfort lika any honda car.
Final Words Perfect for city ride and for a smal family. Check for yourself, Brio while on raod stands out among the rest.
Areas of improvement If it is fully loaded, must come with leather seats, floor mat and DVD player. Air bag must be made cheaper because in a traffic congested sity like chennai any thing could happen. This is important because commuters are self centred.

Exterior Exterior is too good to talk about.Every corner being styled smartly. Edges and head light designed beautifully.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interier quality is too good as compared to other available hatchback. Most i liked it's music system. It gives a feel like a luxury car once you inside it. Space is good for 4 or 5 people. Suspension is a point of consideration. It's a bit hard while driving on bumpy roads.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very very good. It doesn't stopped while taking U-turn on 3'rd gear. No noise, no engine stop. Not even felt like it's on 3'rd gear. Gear is very smooth. You can even drive the car with single hand. Much better driving comfort than other hatchback. Feeling comes like Ye dil mange more once you drive it :)
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is Okay. Can be much much better if Honda can imporve upon it's suspension. No words to discribe handling. Simply Too Good.
Final Words A good car to buy only if you are not looking for a caravan. A good family car with adjustable boot space. i have tried fitting 28" and 18" suitecase together there at boot space. Somehow adjusted. If Honda can increase it's boot space say by 6inch(somehow) then it would be uncomparable hatchback(after JazZ) in market.
Areas of improvement Boot space, 60:40 divison of rear seat,Suspension.
